Este concierto es una pequeñe muestra de lo que fueron sus actuaciones en los años noventa por España.

Es de los mejores, cantantes de rocabhilly. Y en su corazón ❤️ lleba el ( sur 🎶 ) . Qué dios lo tenga en su gloria. Pero mejor estaría con nosotros. Pero donde esté , siempre será. ¡ eslipi labi. ! . Yo siempre te seguiré...
A very sad day when Sleepy passed.
I have probably seen 20 of Sleepy"s shows over the years. No two were the same. It was rumored Sleepy knew over 5000 songs. I dont doubt it. I have probably heard him play over 2000. The real treat was when Sleepy would get into almost trance like state and absolutely blow the roof of the club, the dance floor literally shaking under our feet. A force of nature. His encyclopedic knowledge of American roots music and his ability to effortlessly recall them at will, always making them his own, was almost super human. Sleepy would talk about "goosebumps" music. His performances would often have that effect. The music world lost a true master. If you want to check out his studio recordings I recommend his Rounder recordings..

I have seen Sleepy at least a dozen times. Each time is unique. I truly believe he knows over 5000 songs. I must have heard 1000. He does not just go through a song. He plays everything as if his life depended on it.
He is an encyclopedia of roots music Whether it is blues, country, rockabilly, or whatever, he always puts him own stamp on it.
One of those legends that never got a big break as far as hits, but he could rock the roof off any club.

Fantastic comment covering it all! We LOVE Sleepy and no-one could ever fill those shoes, with all 6'6" of him in them! What a man! The best front man ever... Gives Elvis a run for his money!

Recuerdo perfectamente los dos conciertos de Sleepy a los que acudí en Vigo, en la sala Nova Olimpia allá por los años 90, y desde ese día he acudido a gran cantidad de conciertos y os juro que en ninguno flipe tanto como en el de Sleepy, con la sala llena solo a medias ese hombretón en el medio del escenario destilando rock,n,roll a paladas llenando todo el ambiente con su pedazo de voz y esos riffs de guitarra tan efectivos y directos. Un autentico maestro que aún sigue en activo con 81 años y que por esos azares del destino no alcanzó el reconocimiento mundial que sin duda se merece. Yo desde luego siempre me he sentido un privilegiado por haber estado allí.
Superbe concert, j'ai eu le bonheur de le voir en 1987 à Strasbourg en compagnie de Wanda Jackson et de Carl Perkins. Que de souvenirs !!
I am saddened to admit that I had never heard of Sleepy until I ran across his obituary. I love this concert, an incredible performance by a very tight but raw band. This is very reminiscent of what the Blasters have been playing for what seems like forever. RIP, Sleepy. Vincent E. Carlson, Esq.

Estupendo concierto!!!! A la batería le acompañaba Cacho Casal y al bajo Oscar "Bocha" Guida que eran músicos de aquí que acompañaban a Sleppy en los conciertos que daba a principios de los 90 e incluso grabaron los 3 un disco en el 91 llamado "Attack" que solo tardaron en grabarle 6 horas!!!! No os le perdais .Gracias por subir el concierto!!!!

@@forrisonjard8986 sleppy estaba en plena forma e iba cantando un clásico tras otro. Yo coleccionaba sus discos de finales 70s y primeros 80s, que es cuando tuvo tanto éxito por Europa, y actuaba en los principales programas de televisión.
