I was going to pass on this video but the music drew me in. Great video too! I probably won’t drive it but have a good view of it anyway! Thanks

Did this road in a Jeep Laredo in June 2016. A Honda civic was not far behind me. Road was in great condition except for a few miles of construction/repair a few miles south of Deadhorse. I met motorcycles, bicycles, and one guy walking (not recommended in polar bear country).

Big congrats on ticking off all those milestones...and having no dead horses in the making of this video!

Nice video of your trip to Deadhorse. I made the drive a month ago. Plenty of ice still on the Arctic Ocean. Looks like you had some thick fog to deal with on the Atigun Pass.

Great footage. Surprised your videos don’t get more views. Nice rig you have. I never drive my own rig on that road. The calcium chloride used for dust control and gravel binding is horrible stuff for vehicles.

Thanks for your kind words. We publish these videos primarily for family and friends. Hopefully, others will find them useful or entertaining but we haven't been promoting the videos on other social media channels,
I agree with your comments about the calcium chloride, we wash thoroughly under the vehicle when possible. The truck was built with this travel in mind and if it's a choice between not going and preserving the vehicle, we will always choose the journey.

Thanks for the reply. Enjoy your travels and be safe. That is an epic drive. I’m glad you had the opportunity to visit this great place. Well, not so great in the winter. It can be a hard place to live.

Thank you for all your kind comments. Yes, Pumbaa is a Kiwi (lol!). We had planned to update the graphics on the truck before the truck was shipped, but we ran out of time. We have plans to add graphics to either side of the camper and a map on the heater box on the rear. We will also be adding some appropriate NZ logos. In the meantime, lots of interesting things to distract us on the road.

How much fuel do you have on the vehicle, and do you carry extra?

Thanks for the question. The truck has a 4.5L gas engine that isn't particularly economical, so range was a concern when I built the rig. I have the standard 90 litre (24gal) tank and I have added a custom 130L (34gal) tank in the rear of the chassis. This has a transfer pump that I can switch on in the cab to refill the main tank.
This gives us a range of more than 1,100km (680 miles). I don't feel the need to carry any more than this.
