You can load it backwards with blade towards front of trailer. It centers your cab over your axles. Like everyone else said, you need stabilizer jacks. I have same machine. I load it like I said, tows great.
dont ever do that on a hill the truck will roll away, even if you set the parking break. ive gotten close to that happening on a gooseneck would of been a long way down!
Block up that rear. I hate loading a mini in my dump, if you only do it once a year blocking works but it's a pain if you do it a lot. I'll invest in a tilt trailer at some point in the future.
Here’s what not to do 😂. Need rear jacks on trailer to keep real axle of truck on the ground. Need a chain in front of the dump bed to keep the bed from raising up while loading.
I'm sure you have figured it out by now but you have to have stabilizers under the back of the trailer otherwise it lifts the back of your truck off the ground

Dangerous would have rolled away if your were downhill, get rear stabilizers on trailer.
Kind of figured it out now. If I bring dump body up in line with ramps then it's lot easier.
That was legendary. You lifted the truck off the ground 😳
If you got 4x4 you do not need stabilizer jacks… matter of fact you don’t even need ramps
Your truck tires were off the ground loading and unloading. That could come in handy if you have a rear flat.
lol, I guess as long as I got Kubota around

I’ve been having a tough time with dump trailers and excavators. Stay safe!
Not planning to move machine on daily or even monthly bases . Right now it sits on 3 lot subdivision and will be used there for next 6 months
You need rear jack stands BAD
I didn't raise the body up about 1/4 way like I usually do , that's why it squaded so bad and picked up the truck . Learned that hard way :)
@@baldthebuilder2588 PUT REAR JACK STANDS ON BEFORE YOU DO ANOTHER JOB! Raising the body doesn't do squat as far as weight distribution.
@@danielmeyer403 If I can find them , can't even find spare tire mount lol
@@baldthebuilder2588 get regular car jack stands and keep them with you
@@koas8478 gonna look into that. Might just have steel guy make me some

Eventually I'll probably get another trailer. Right now machine is sitting on another job and .ost likely be there for next 4-5 months.
Rear jacks, done.
That's why I don't use dump trailers to haul my equipment.
yeah , I'll get dedicated trailer eventually , right now i'm moving equipment once in blue moon ,so this will do
Is your truck a 2500 or a 3500? Thanks!
3500
What's the length of the trailer
It's 14'
Dot liked to see you and have a littke chat prolly...😂
In this commy state ? Absolutely. There's reason I took back roads 😀
What size trailer is this looking at buying one.
This is 14' long , perfect for this size machine

You absolutely right , just can't find them
@@baldthebuilder2588 I made some from 2” square tubing with 1/4” wall and welded them on with a couple of cheap receiver hitches.
is this legal in Ontario Canada ?
Not a clue

I did , I just didn't find set tat fits my trailer :)
@BaldTheBuilder I used a piece of firewood for a long time LOL call Mom I just stuck it in the center of the back
This video should be titled “How NOT to load an excavator safely into a trailer “😂
yeah, we all learn :)
That poor trailer!
What's the payload on that dump trailer
10k , enough for Kubota KX 40
@@baldthebuilder2588 That 10k trailer rating includes the trailer weight. KX-40 weighs almost 10k by itself. So you're about 3k to 4k heavy.
@Beardy no it doesn't. Trailer is rated to carry 10k lbs
This looks like a how not to video!!
@@rontech1671 yeah, live and learn lol
This is how not to load a mini ex in a dump trailer
Well ,had to start somewhere , learning as I go
I would weld some equipment stands on the rear corners of that trailer. Your truck and it's transmission are not built for that abuse.
Truck is rated for 14400 lbs towing weight. I 9nly move the machine few times a year. But I'll look for some jackstands or something.
How not to load a trailer
WELL, title doesn't say " how to" lol
OSHA dream come true, not.
Shhh, don't jinx it :)
Too heavy
No it's not
