    "The Stumble" est l'un des meilleurs morceaux blues rock de l'histoire de la guitare électrique instrumentale. Ce magnifique solo joué par Gary Moore, en accordage standard (*) ou Occidental est de Freddy King qui fut l'une des influences majeures du blues britannique, via notamment Eric Clapton, Peter Green, Stan Web ainsi que Stevie Ray Vaughan qui reprirent un bon nombre de ses chansons, notamment les standards "Have you ever loved a woman" (dont il n'était pas l'auteur), The stumble ou Hide Away etc.. [L'Accordage standard pour la guitare à six cordes, de la première à la sixième donc du " grave à l'aigu EADGBE (Mi La Ré Sol Si Mi) sachant qu'il existe différents accordages guitare pour produire diverses sonorités (open tuning, celte, blues, drop ). Cette interprétation de Gary Moore est unique, excellente et divine !!

      @@SexyplexiGT . . No. Greenie was OK in his day and MAY have been slightly ahead of the pack, but today, anyone with a couple of years playing experience can easily match him. Gary has been gone now for, what? 13 years? . . and he's still mopping the floor with the best of the best from beyond his grave!!

    • @arthurblackhistoric
      @arthurblackhistoric 9 місяців тому

      @@SexyplexiGT . . Why say anything? Who appointed you the arbiter of who's right and who's wrong anyway?
      One thing I can always count on is getting comments from people who can't see that the emperor has no clothes!
      While I'm at it, may as well slam Albert King. That guy knew maybe four licks in total. His talent lay in being able to kinda-sorta fit 'em into most Blues songs. Yet folks worship him as a God-level Blues guitarist?
      Of the three Kings, Freddie was far and away the best guitarist. BB King sat somewhere in the middle, and Albert brought up the distant rear with his four licks in his tobacco tin.
      On the subject of Gary Moore being the greatest . . Even today, the best Blues guitarist on Earth, Joe Bonamassa has yet to better what Gary played. I'm talking strictly about Blues guitar playing. Gary had his own Celtic thing happening, and Joe has his Country Rockand Roots stylings that are his bag. But their common ground was The Blues, and Gary is still on top of the Blues totem pole, all these years after his death. That should tell anyone all they need to know about his enduring greatness.
      Of course I'm not entitled to an opinion, am I? If my opinion doesn't match up to the everyman's viewpoint, that makes me totally wrong. And you can bet the ranch that there is no shortage of people lining up to tell me I'm "wrong". Been subject to that all my long life. Come on, you haters!

      @@arthurblackhistoric yea you're a moron. Should've known you were a bonamassa fan. Makes sense now. Best blues guitarist alive huh? 😂 what a goofball. The only thing you and I could prob agree on is Freddie being the best of the 3. You prob go to Joe B concerts listen to him play Albert king licks thinking it's something he came up with and say how he's a god all the while wearing a Joe B shirt with your phone out taking videos to post to his fan club page. At 2:11 not sure how he did that and don't recall hearing that combination of guitar techniques elsewhere. Kind of like landing a quadruple axel in figure skating and adding style that is beyond what others have done. Also like how he built up to the incredible crescendo at 2:11 and other techniques about 2/3's of the way through the song. He is a just when you think he's done the incredible and near impossible in his solo he throws in something equally or even moore impressive. Part of his allure as a musician is that he sounds so confident throughout his solo - like SRV never faltering or losing his way, and also layering in techniques to squeeze the most expression from every note. One other thing; how did Freddie King create and play so many blues classics - is there anyone else in Freddie's category?

      jim lennon Your grammar makes it kinda of hard to understand what you are saying, but what I see in Gary was that he played with more soul back in the 80's. Maybe something happened to Gary. Maybe he just got bored, but in the later years he just played fast and angry with little thought of being tasteful or making his guitar cry or sing.

    Green and Moore are better guitarists than I'll ever be but I never liked this fast interpretation of the song. It's supposed to have a slower, lilting groove with off-center phrasing--a stumble! At this tempo it becomes a barreling freight train and loses that effect entirely, even more so when their phrases fill in a lot of the spaces that Freddie left. I apologize for my heresy and will now return to my cave.
