I really like this map's use of the super peaky micro mountains that can get melted as a short-term defense to let you build up before the laser starts slicing through you.
I don't think I can remember a Tom video that I haven't seen your comment on, and I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for adding a little bit of regularity to my chaotic life!

Tom literally always, ALWAYS, starts these maps like "oh dang this is gonna be tough!" Then plows through it with huge waves of blobs and skimmers and eggs and says "huh that was easier than I though". EVERY TIME
I think it partly has to do with the fact that the skimmer and blob spawners spawn a pretty large number of blobs and skimmers. As someone mentioned in a comment above, the regular amount of blobs and skims created in the normal factories are more like 3-4 which would balance things a lot more.
If the end of the map is any indication, they are mostly useful for when the missile defences are down. They pose a constant threat at that point. This does mean that they only really work when combined with a large number of spores.
I feel like no matter which map you play, those Scimmers you can build in PAC mode are waaay OP. There should be a limit of 10 at one time on all maps.
Or severely cut down on how many generate from one pod. Like, 10 is an INSANE number, when most scimmer factories use 3-4 as the default with them spread around. Cut the amount spawned to 3-4 and they'll be wayyyyy less broken.
@@Groovewonder2 Agreed. When I played this map a few days ago all II did was spam Scimmers as soon as I'd taken the 2 corners near the start - game was over in like 15 minutes.
I want to see what happens when Emitters are placed in a corner and there are several Field Gens used to keep the creep there...? Can the Creep be drained form other spots on the map? Will it allow a MEGA WAVE!?!?! We NEED SCIENCE!!!!
Sporelys come in 2 varieties. One color targets random points. One targets random enemy structures. You're wasting shots on areas in the back by using the wrong one.
Hey Tom, so you know Floods also work like Emitter's too right? - And they don't cost urn power, so you wanna start but feeding 4 emitters over one flood and you can seriously snowball by the time you get 5 floods feeding more floods.
He has used them before and they take like an hour of idle time and he doesn't think they're worth it. They're like an anti-stall mechanism, not really intended for normal use.

It varies per map as there are several versions of the flood that require different amounts of creep to build, and of course it depends on how much creeper you have available to feed the flood, but on most maps the first can be done in 5-10 minutes. However, i'm glad he doesn't use them too often. I assumed he ignores them because they are incredibly overpowered when you build multiple and it leads to repetitive gameplay with an unlimited supply of creeper. I know he has played with them before, but in every PAC map he has played recently he keeps referring to them as if they only emit that small ball of creeper so i get the feeling he may not realize their true potential anymore.
I'm curious if building a runway-esque series of field gens would allow you to direct the full force of an egg wave without losing too much to the sides.
So, the strategy Tom used is almost exactly how I did this map, but only difference was that he didn't use Spores where the laser was, yeah, those SAM sites aren't in range of where the laser is housed so with enough Spores you can take out that laser before it even becomes an issue, and it will become an issue as it houses four M-Rifts to keep it supplied.
Daily reminder that Tom is an amazing person and to thank him for all he has done/will do - Day 835 (Wow, ep 99, 100 isn't far now :D) I agree, this map does look very satisfying :D. Also it was surprisingly both easier and harder, loved how it increased in difficulty as you progressed :D, also fun to see a return of the eggs XD
Hey Tom, love the vid as usual, just so you know, I'm now addicted thanks to you.... Have been playing non stop for a few month now. I even created a map with 4rpl, a king of the hill type of map which gets harder as time pass by. It's called King of the Hill V2.0 (super original right?). Thanks again for sharing your gaming momments with us.

After watching a few of these play as creep videos I feel it would be a lot more interesting if you couldn’t redeploy your ERn so fast. As it is it looks like you can just use 3 producers and 1 or 2 pushers with a piece of Crimson and bust pretty much any line with the aid of blobs and skimmers.
This is the most stupid game in history of gaming and should be forbidden by the Low, i am thinking tu unsubscribe but luckily i like your Planet crafter gameplay
The game isn't stupid for you can make nearly anything in it, therefore it can't "be" bad. The only things that can be bad are the choice of maps, and the maps available to choose from.
I like the fact that it doesn't matter what side he plays, he still manages to bankrupt himself.
Nore do I but Im more Strategic and more on Blitzkrieg if I get enough Resources to support Reenforcesments

They absorb creep, so either build them next to huge emmiters or in a corner and use field gens to cover them in lots of creep to speed up the build
Man I love this series. This is like defense of helms deep mixed with D-Day invasions.

You might need more of a arrow shape, focusing it all towards the front with the sides pushing it in.

I beat this map using nothing but skimmers. Completely overpowered. Loved it.
Maybe try egg producers forward a bit, then blobs in the far back so they are in theory, picking up the eggs and carrying them to the trenches

Blobs pick up eggs on their way so if you put blobbers behind an egg gen that helps

Tom, 1000 hrs in to this game, still doesn't use stacker which produce more creep that eggs when popped

I dont think mesh is a good idea - it seems to reduce the momentum of the creep - just flattens the wave
