New 2024 BYD Yangwang U7 - Ultimate Flagship Luxury Sedan

BYD’s high-end brand Yangwang unveiled its new flagship sedan the U7 at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show. BYD claims the Yangwang U7 will have the lowest drag coefficient among globally mass-produced cars with a figure of Cd 0.195.
The YangWang U7, the latest addition to the brand's lineup, is set to become the third model in the series.
The upcoming BYD YangWang U7 is set to debut as the brand's latest flagship sedan. Its design features C-shaped headlights similar to the U9, while the body showcases a sleek and flat appearance. The front bumper exudes a sporty vibe more akin to a supercar than a traditional large sedan, complemented by a sizable air vent for added flair. At the top of the front roof, you'll find a sloping hood line seamlessly integrated with the LiDAR sensor from RoboSense, promising cutting-edge safety and autonomous driving capabilities.
To further enhance its sporty appeal, the BYD YangWang U7 features skirts encircling the entire car, crafted from lightweight carbon fiber for optimal performance. Adding to its sleek aesthetic, the door handles are seamlessly integrated and flush with the vehicle's surface, contributing to its aerodynamic profile and modern design.
The side contours of the BYD YangWang U7 feature stylish notches for a streamlined appearance. Its door handles seamlessly integrate with the car's surface, enhancing its sleek profile. The vehicle is equipped with alloy wheels engineered to minimize air resistance, optimizing both performance and efficiency.
At the rear, the BYD YangWang U7 boasts tail lights that stretch across the entire width of the car, with the YangWang logo positioned between them. Adding a touch of aggression, a sporty black diffuser enhances the car's aesthetic, while chrome lines at the bottom provide a refined finish. YangWang proudly reveals that the U7's overall design aims to achieve the world's lowest coefficient of friction, standing at an impressive 0.195 cd.
The U7 boasts impressive dimensions, measuring 5,265 mm in length, 1,998 mm in width, and 1,517 mm in height. With a wheelbase spanning 3,160 mm, it offers ample interior space and stability on the road.
The U7 represents BYD's latest electric car innovation, built on the e4 platform, akin to the safety features found in the U9 model. Its cutting-edge driving assistance technology features the TianShen system, which incorporates a 5 mm-wave radar, three LiDARs, and an array of 13 cameras. Powering this advanced system is a computer with an impressive processing power of 508 TOPS, ensuring enhanced safety and autonomous driving capability
In terms of driving power, It will be equipped with four electric motors, each rated at 326 horsepower, giving a total power of up to 1,306 horsepower.
Despite its substantial curb weight of 3.095 tonnes, the U7's impressive power enables the new electric sedan to achieve speeds of up to 270 km/h. Its performance is backed by a robust blade battery pack boasting a capacity of 135.5 kWh, providing a remarkable range of 800 km on a single charge. Enhancing its ride quality and handling, the suspension system features the latest iteration of the DiSus system, known as DiSus-Z.
BYD is teasing the launch of the YangWang U7 in China over the next few months. Pricing details are anticipated to be unveiled on the day of its showroom debut.

There is no way on earth that car made it up that slope! Full on 4x4 Landcruiser style vehicles probably wouldn't make it, even with bid off-road snow tyres!!!
