hey fell! i just wanted to let you know that you have taught me so many things i am a 17 year old from canada! and i love the outdoors and often go wild camping, and i just wanted to let you know that you are a good person and a very interesting person to! thanks for teaching me so many things mate!
I like your knife on a string. I carried tgat as a wilderness survival instructor for 3 years. I was poor and it's all I could aford . It worked great. Everyone else barrowed it all the time. Crazy but true.
Hi Damien.. Enjoyed your imagination as always. Adds fun to the journey making for a cool video. Great feeling in the pine forest. Love it and all the useful tools. Any way, all the best. Mark.
+Wye Explorer I do imagine there could be an unknown animal living in the forest but keep an open mind until I see something with my own eyes. I prefer decidious woodland where there is more variation of plants and trees compared to conifer plantations where the terrain seems endless and monotonous. Thanks for watching, Damian
Fell Wanderer What do they say Damien..all is imagined. Such tales have been with us a long time and we thrive on them. I agree with you I like mixed woodland. When you look into a plantation it is dead inside. No Biodiversity at all. Any way, thanks for getting back. All the very best.Mark.
Superb video Damien, I thought you were a gonner at one time when your pal was behind you with that blade LMAO. Thanks for sharing, loved it. Cheers........Les.
Nice short sword lol I was remembering crocodile Dundee that's not a knife this is a knife 😁enjoyed the video very humorous I'm currently in the back of my converted lwb transit in the lake district with the Mrs its a wonderful break from the busy Christmas and new year a few days away 👏⛺🔥💧⚡☔happy new year
Smashing video Damian, really enjoyed that one bud... Good old Tees Valley meatballs ehh . I've got some inferior ones to try out on ma next camp Take it easy Atb Paul
F'in Wildcamper Thanks Paul, I bought loads of look what we've found meals when Asda had them rolled back to £1, they are nice and convenient especially when you can't be arsed to cook and can be esten cold, Damian
Camp Yeti sounds good and remember to bring some mash to go with the meat balls, and if Sasquatch makes whoop noises, what noise should I make when I go unicorn hunting ?
Good Yeti watch video bud lol, nice tpee framed bed ya mate knocked up and love the northern humour, lovely reusable spot you found, subd ya, stay safe, atb, Paul.
Such an enjoyable and entertaining video Damien. That fog looked proper magical and your humour was brilliant as always :) Thanks for sharing bro ~Peace~
Damian, can we have either an interpreter, or, subtitles for us who live in the Soft South? I'm a Midlander myself and hold doctorates in Brummie and Black Country dialects, Swahili, Mandarin, Nepalese, Russian and Afrikaans! P/S I'm also a terrible bullshitter! Joking apart, another great video mate, I enjoyed it very much! My missus watched it with me and said she knew what to get me for Xmas now, so thanks to you she got me two armfuls of dead branches and load of cord! thanks again!
Really missed your videos. Nothing like your wit. Always pick some beautiful locations. What make of hatchet/tomahawk was your friend using? I loved that thing. Great Time. TC - Stan
Deep South Experience Thanks Stan, Davey bought the hatchet from a local DIY store, an inexpensive brand not sure which but will ask him and find out for you. Since then he has cut it down, creating the shape it is now which when i first saw it thought it was purchased like that cause he did such a good job with it, ATB, Damian
Nice vid as always Damian, I think ive seen all of them now, when are you out again? I could watch one everyday, ye fer chear me up mate. Lots of laugh out loud moments, keep it up and take care. I give you a mention in my latest vid, found some strange broken trees down in Dartmoor the other day and I thought about your squatchin vids.
thegeordiefellwalker Davey's getting better with the weight, only thing that was missing was the kitchen sink. Next time were thinking about hiring a team of mules to get our gear up there quicker. Hows your new boots doing, have you broke them in yet?..
Fell Wanderer cheers for asking damion .boots just back from 2 day yomp .barrowburn , the street, hownam, heatherhope (wild camp) . the street barrowburn. few more miles to break in properly so far so good atb.
Wae'aye man! Damian I've watched a few of your videos and thought it time I checked in from across the pond. I'm an American who lived in Newcastle for 10 years. While there I taught at Northumberland College & I'm positive you know exactly where that is... don't you mate? I miss hearing the very distinctive North East England/Geordie accent and phrases. You and Davey make a great team & I think you'd love to wild camp here in the Rockies of Colorado, USA. There was an actual Sasquatch sighting about 20 miles from where I live & I'm thinking with you and Davey being official Yeti hunters, would love to hike and camp around here. And if no Yeti's appear; not to worry, coz you and Davey can content yourselves with wild wolves, mountain lions and bears with a rattlesnake or two thrown in. I've been to Rothbury, a very quaint and picturesque little village. I've fished at Fontburn Reservoir, but made Kielder Water my camping and fishing headquarters. I always did very well there too, yanking out loads of healthy rainbow trout. But those damned midgies ate me alive. All the best to you mate.
I used to attend Northumberland College doing an IT course a few years ago, maybe I was there when you were?. There is some good fishing here in Northumberland, haven't fished Fontburn and Kielder for years now, I like small streams and rivers fishing for brown trout, some great sport on light tackle and no midgies like you get at Kielder, they are horrible especially in calm humid conditions. There is evidence of a wildman living in Harwood forest, not far from my home, I've seen possible footprints and heard strange noises through the night, there is definitely something unusual going on and people are seeing things. Good luck with the fishing and hope you see a Sasquatch one day, ATB.
Been out this morning looking for your camp, failed ,miserably but having watched the video again think we have spotted where we went wrong, still had a nice walk out, made a video, tried pine needle tea and found the Yeti Footprint!!
fun adventure. great area. i live in the mountains also. it is fun. sausage looked good. cool blades. presents. good times with my friends. hello from mt hood oregon usa. i live in the national forest and have similiar interest to you. i also make adventure videos in the forest. and i see you guys like bigfoot. i have the main guy from the tv show finding bigfoot in one of my videos. cliff barackman is in my video. the squatch is real. peace.
+MOUNTAINOUS There is much debate to whether there is a wildman here in the UK but I'm sure they are many bigfoots in North America. The Finding Bigfoot team came to my neck of the woods when they investigated Harwood Forest and although they didn't see anything they heard something unusual. ATB, Damian.
Great viiewing Damian, two characters lol. Been a while since I've been up that way, have they fixed the road yet ? Another of Northumberlands ancient places where it's great in daylight but as soon as dusk falls the atmosphere changes. Enjoyed the trip , I'm off to google 'groom of the stool' haha. Atb. Mick.
blamhof Hi Mick, The roads up there seem ok but not perfect due to the usual lack of investment. We were looking for rock carvings and found faint marks which could be very old, they didn't look like cup and ring marks but were interesting. That whole area around Simonside is rich in history, if only the rocks could speak what tales would they tell?.. and I didn't manage have a number 2 so Davey couldn't groom my stool lol.. ATB, Damian.
+jimbo jackson Davey used wood from the forest, lashed together a frame with any old cordage we had and draped some black plastic over the top which I think its the same stuff they use on building sites
Fair play if he likes knives & wants to bring them camping he can enjoy it all the more it's not a competition to be practical & compact so when I see people with extra kit or daft Rambo knives I don't judge as its not a lesson it's just a couple of guys with funny accents out having a laugh... I'm a big fan of Damien's vids actually.
looking to start doing this an finding it really hard to find woodlands you csn just go to an do this can you please give i helping hand thank you an love your vids

Thank you very much Damian, for following up on this for me!
The original Rambo knife was designed and made by Jimmy Lile, and looks nothing like the one shown there.

Nice Video
would love to know where this place is looks like a nice place to go camping
Its Simonside near Rothbury NZ 03096 99097. Thanks for watching

Where did your mate get that axe from? Great vid too.
mike Cheshire Thanks, I'm not sure where he got the xe but will ask him
Thank you.
mike Cheshire Its a £10 axe from a local shop not sure of the brand, Davey used a metal saw to cut as this wasn't the original shape. Looks almost Viking in design and a work of art
thanks mate. better late than never with the reply eh haha love your videos.
enjoyed the video :-)
Do you have a video on how you made that awesome saw?
TJack You'll have to ask Davey, I'm sure he didn't film it but may explain how he did it. Its a nice concept for a survival situation, its genius is in its simplicity
Please ask him as I like the idea.
tree knocks, you know it make sense!

think there is a paranormal aspect to this phenomenon, thats why they can remain so elusive on such
a small island as the British Isles. Check out
Colorado Bigfoot, he's on the right track.
Some can openers are shaped just right and can be used to pull a pot out of the fire just like using a hook.
lurking around the camp with a banjo and a billiard ball
Cant believe I googled Groom of the stool, excellent
Hi what are adders? You spoke about them around 20mins in the video.
+Lost with Dan Adders are snakes, they are venomous and found in upland areas here in th UK
Leaving your crappy plastic sheets in the forest is just lazy..
Is that where Raoul Moat was hiding out from the police?
Yes, he was hiding in that general area of Rothbury
So the polythene sheets we're left behind?
