- A 22¢ metal washer from the hardware store becomes a mixed media necklace that surprised me along the way! All the numbers on the necklace represent something I am grateful for in some way...this became a wearable gratitude reminder of all the every day things I have to be grateful for in my life. Signs an artist has been creatively playing....paper in the hair. Yes you have paper in your hair. : ) I like to watch your art play it allows me to relax and not worry about supply costs. Thank you, Carolyn, for sharing.
You are such a fun, enthusiastic, and encouraging crafter!! Thank you for your tutorial and your wisdom! ❤
Hey, Carolyn, I just discovered you and I have to say I LOVE the way you teach!
Love this project.
I loved the rainbow ones! The numbers made it look cool. Very clever idea.
Wyoming Munchkin how long does it take to dry?
I totally enjoy your play videos and you always inspire me to try something new. Thank you!!!!
Your videos are so much fun and your enthusiasm is contagious. 🥰
Love the idea!
I agree, I’m not feeling the numbers on the pink/orange! But love the multiple colored & blue/green!

I watched this the other day and forgot to comment on it. I think these are adorable! :-)
So cool
I love this...
How fun! And it just so happens I was planning a jaunt to the hardware store for a water filter....what's that called?....serendipity? Thanks again Carolyn for sharing your creative whims.
This would be a great project for kid camps, youth groups.
What is messy is Beautiful
Just love your videos Carolyn. Can you please tell me what size of washer you use. Jinty, Scotland
Grate idea. Is the "liquid glass" equivalent to the glossy accent from ranger?
Cool idea on washers! NEW SUB 01/27/19 ❤️😎
Great ideas. What kind of gel medium did you use? Thanks
What is gel medium?
Is the washer steel or aluminum or some other material. Also why do you need paper first coat?
What type of paint is used?
What kind of paint are you using, I cant find where you have mentioned that important detail.
There's a link to Carolyn's blog in the description below the video, where she says what supplies she used. The paint is Liquitex acrylic paint.
I don’t think the pink ones are ugly…
Because they are small objects you have to think contrast. What makes it pop
Não entendi pq passou o tinta com o plástico .
Mencanta👍👏👏👏👏👏👍
How much to charge in a craft fair. Cute
These are wonderful!! You could also use your existing gel prints for this, right? Use those prints! :-) :-)
Absolutely Vonalda!
Hola, tienes que traducir, x que x ejemplo, yo no se ingles....🥺 y no se que materiales son, algunos me doy cuenta, otros no...🤷♀️ hermoso tu trabajo....pero no olvides traducir. Muchas gracias..❤
Do you answer questions? Or list what you need? What is gel medium?
Eugenie MacFarlane - I am not familiar with this channel or person doing this video but there seems to be a link to her blog in the description box. I'm guessing the supplies she uses would be listed there somewhere. As for gel medium, it looks like she's using just regular "acrylic gel medium." It is sold wherever artists acrylic paints are. I know Liquitex is one brand that I have used.
are you familiar with google?
I tried to go to the website acolorfuljourney.com, and I kept getting the message...It can't provide a secure connection.
Here's a direct link acolorfuljourney.com/ - it's got the https which means secure so not sure why you're getting a message- dang computer elves!
Not sure why you'd bother to cut out paper & adhere it, even making sure that print was right side up on both sides. The print is, for the most part, not visible on the blue/green washers... and is totally covered with paint on the pink rainbow washers!! Also, I would expect a product called 'Liquid Glass' to have a glassy smooth finish. Does that Liquid Glass always have that 'lumpy' look? I'd prefer smooth. What sealer or finish would give a nice, thick, smooth surface?
Too much talking it’s hard to keep track of what you’re doing!
