Hello Sir. I'm about to start my first semester of my BA in IR at Queen Mary University in London. Do you have any "IR-beginner-friendly" book recommendations? Just got done with Future of power by Joseph S. Nye - Amazing book btw.
Hello Amalie. Yeap, that's a good one. I would say Identity by Francis Fukuyama, something by Amitav Acharya (The End of American World Order or Constructing Global Order). I also recommend Factfulness by Hans Rosling, this book is not about IR, but it helps to understand modern global trends, which I find very useful for everyone who studies social sciences. Good luck!
hey, I still have not graduated form school but I'm really fascinated by the world of politics and society, Im really young and would love to know more, what book would you recommend me for beginner like myself?
World politics trends and tranformation. The globalisation of world politics. Global politics. Perspectives of international relations. International history of the 21st century. These are, in my opinion, the best books for IR.
Hello, sir. It very much depends on the period. You can try the Cambridge World History or the Oxford Handbook of World History. CrashCourse channel makes good videos about world history, you can also check them out.
Hello madam. There are a number of handbooks on IR by the world's top ranked universities, and you can also read some of the books that have been mentioned in this video. That would be a good place to start. Best of luck to you!
