In this video I take you along a solo camping trip and tour of Tomoka State Park, located just north of Daytona Beach, Florida. The historic lands of Tomoka State Park were once an area that provided food and shelter to Native Americans for thousands of years where they would hunt, fish and gather. Research suggests that the land was occupied as early as 5000 B.C. by ancestors of the Timucuan Indian tribes. Today the park is now thriving with winding waterways, lush greenery, Florida wildlife, and ancient oaks.
