When it comes to the fundamentals of black skin tones and approaching grading, it's simply important to understand the basics. You get to decide the final outcome of the image. But in order to know how to break the "rules" you have to have a solid understanding.
Awesome tutorial on melanin, Sid! I know I say this all the time, but you rock kiddo! You have an amazing gift, thank you for sharing it with the rest of the World. I'm sooo happy you are showing colorists and photographers like yourself how to taste the rainbow!!! 🌈🧡💛💜❤💙✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿
Bruh....do you know how good it feels to see another brother smart enough to market their own business on their platform. I do the exact same thing on my channel! This is so smart as a business owner! Why promote someone else's business vs your own. Plus the pay out is way greater! Love what you you're doing here brother
Dynamite tutorial. Exactly the right timing for me. Currently coloring a PSA on clinical trial racial disparity and differentiating the subtlety between darker skin tones (while utilizing the high dynamic range tab) has given me some great tools to incorporate. Digging back into your video library.
Holy crap! I don't even know what I don't know. This is great. I work with video in Uganda, Africa so I work with dark skin tones every film. I need to learn Davinci I think. Great channel!
Great subject matter. Not sure that makes any difference but the color wheel you show at 3:57 is not the one that we use in video - it's for mixing materials ( subtractive ), not for mixing light ( additive ). Easy to spot because in light the complimentary color from blue is yellow, not orange.
Eish man..your wheels are different from anything I am familiar with. Looks like a whole new world that I have to learn. Scary...but you....are on another level🙌🏾🙌🏾
Nice tutorial. Im curious, why key when there are other non destructive ways to adjust skin ? Seems like it could cause a problem down the line working like thus if you have more than one clip. Loved the information about the subtle hues in log wheels. ,🤘

Really appreciate this one bro. Very rare you get a color grading tutorial on black skin tones.

Yassss!

"IDNEITYF" - haha - A spell check would be good :)
Hiya Sidney. In DVR v18 the Project Settings -> Colour Management options have changed. I only have SDR and HDR - I assume HDR is what I need? Thanks!
I would untick use automatic color management.
Could you please make an Adobe premiere pro video too?
have ya ever tried auto color?
I press the button once or twice but I’ve never really liked it
@@sidneybakergreen Then you're my guy.
