- In this video I show you how to use the 8" fully digital gauge cluster and 11" infotainment radio screen in the all new 2024 Chevy Trax. These system are found only on the LT, 2RS, and Activ trims of the new Trax. If you have the LS or 1RS, the cluster and infotainment systems are going to be different. These are very similar to the systems found in the 2023 Chevy Colorado and Canyon however the Trax does not feature Google integration. Let me know if you have any questions!

You 100% can customize the digital cluster. I know because I own a 2024 Trax 2RS

Yeah you can definitely change the cluster. It’s basic changes but it does change
@@ForYourEntertainment2023hold and release the button where the arrows are on the steering wheel on the right side near the call and voice buttons the scroll wheel and it will allow you to change the clusters
I wanted to say the same thing. I just purchased it and I already know that you can customize the digital cluster. Love that option 👍
You can change the look of the screen, has 3 screens to choose from. for speed.
Where? I tried doing the same procedure as the Colorado and nothing worked.

Loads of great and useful information on the digital cluster and infotainment screen. I have never purchased a vehicle from a sales rep that could explain all the buttons, switches, screen, etc. I think they just sit around and wait for a customer to come in instead of educating themselves on the vehicles they sell.

Whoa bro, you can actually change the digital gauge cluster which gives you three options. Yes GM makes it a treasure hunt to find the knobs or buttons to change it.😆

I think that you are mistaken. I saw another video where the layout of the instrument cluster could be changed among three different choices.
Someone else did mention that you could in the Trax also by holding down the scroll wheel.
Bought the new 2025 1RS and my screen is smaller than this 11 inch one darn 😂 I wanted this one so bad
At 5:48: "Here's where you access AM, FM and $iriusXM." How for AM & FM?? Like tune to 1260 kHz or 92.3 mHz and save. All you show is $iriusXM. Good tour otherwise! I just ordered a loaded 1LT; almost Activ but for moon roof and bling for $3K less. Should be in next week. Cheers.

Privacy Text is better too to keep it on driver display only, since the text will block top part of the navigation during drive for a couple seconds
I have a 2024 trailblazer with that same setup and you can customize the 8 inch cluster screen by holding the scroll wheel on the right side of the steering wheel

You didn't mention that to change the audio source on the infotainment screen you press the button that shows the current source (like XM) to AM or FM or other.
Weird I have that thin yellow line across the top of the screen as well. Is that a glitch?
Hold down on the right scroll wheel for 3 seconds and then release to get more options for display.
Man the odometer has 3 settings. Need to press IN for 3 seconds the scroll on right side of steering wheel and select from there.

I thought I saw on another video that there were three versions of the digital dash screens that you can choose from. One the standard you are showing. One being a sort of 3 d swooping round looking display and one other (I can't remember) Someone had shown that you could choose from the 3 options of the display. Not sure which review i saw this on as it was just part of the overall review. Did anyone else see or know about this? Also is there any navigation apps built in or do I just use google maps from my phone?

@joetarlos it has navigation you just need to have a onstar data plan it has Google maps built into the system
Radio went mute: I think I somehow hit the round (sound) button and radio is mute. How to fix this?
On a 2024 2RS Trax how do you show the Time/Date on the 11" screen?
Regarding USB and music. Does the USB have to be specially formated? Fat 32 ? NTFS? Will it play FLAC or MP3 or only wav files?
Great question. I would assume it would play the most common formats and read the common formatting types. The easiest method would be try the files you wish and if it doesn't work, revert back to a different file type on the USB and usb 320kb MP3 files for streaming if FLAC doesn't work.
if you activate the turn display off function, how do you turn it back on? if you can't see it, how would you turn it back on?
Typically tapping the screen or pressing the power button wakes it up.
I have a question, images I've seen from the official Chevrolet build & price website it looks like it has the HUD system on the dash but I can't find anything that would suggest it does, I assume it doesn't but I would like to know what that is on the dash. Ty
It's not a HUD but it does have the red LED lights which project onto the windshield for the safety systems.

Yes there is a volume up and down button on the right side of the back of the steering wheel . And on the left side of the back of the steering wheel you can change channels

If you havent gotten the answer yet, the bottom left hand shows the fuel gage and how many miles worth of fuel is left. The right side is the odometer
how do you set the info system to play a USB
how to turn on or know if it's on (heated steering wheel) also why doesn't the book (owners manual) talk about how to change the volume etc on this car. I took an hour to find the buttons on the back of the steering wheel that does that.
Somedy know why there is no alarm sound when i am on reverse when i get close to the car beside ?
It does not have the correct ultrasonic parking sensors for that functionality. Those are typically the little dot sensors on the front/rear bumpers.
The Activ edition has multiple options for the speed read out not just one. I own a Trax Activ.
I can’t find any information about which CD player is compatible with the 2024 Trax… and does the radio have WAV
The infotainment should read WAV media files via USB or Bluetooth.
How can you tell when your gas is low
Will they do a software update to add more items to cluster? Doesn’t seem that difficult!
Likely not but it may be possible!
@CarsMadeSimple it has 4 different guage options by default, you can at the very least edit the video and add text to it. It is misleading

I just bought a trax 2024 RS and it came without Apple Carplay. What can you guys say about it? Is there any software update to get it to run?
Wthl all the features that these cars come with that has to be frustrating to find out it didn't have Apple CarPlay after you picked it up...

Unfortunately that is a safety item which cannot be disabled.
Does the LT Trax have a heads up display
HUD is not available on the Trax. They do have a red LED light for the collision system.

Does the car has heated steering wheel?
Yes, the 1RS, Activ, and 2RS come standard with it. If want it on the LT you'll have to option the LT Convenience Package. It is not available on the LS.

Any one knoes the answer to why my dash board doesn't turn on? The car turns on and everything, but the digital display does not turn on.

You can configure it, you just don't know how.😂
If you push on the right side wheel on the steering wheel that will change your cluster look

Does the trax have free navigation or is Chevy still a pain in the ass in that department.
The Trax does not have Google built-in so there is no on board navigation. It does come standard with Wireless Android Auto or Apple CarPlay.
