I love your video's on decorating and cooking. My house is 1170 ..no basement here. I live in So.California and I gave up my den & sewing room when my daughter ,two grandson's moved in with me. Me too. My husband is very handy, keeps our house looking great, helps the kids with their houses, neighbors, and now grandkids are starting to get their own places! He is always busy!!
Good improvements, so far. You've done wonders with the staircase. I like the farm-style railing. Love the icy teal. Your pets love the new carpeting. It's easy to see why. It looks really nice.

LOVE seeing your craft room makeover this morning in my feed!! Painting over the green leaves was a major change! Your choice of paint was great....it looked like it covered them pretty darn good with no primer! 😳. Love all the changes you are making. Can’t wait to see how y’all camouflage the oil tank. I have a tiny craft room in finished my basement too. I deal with a air duct soffit in my room, and tall shelves do not even fit. I work with my limitations and I am just super happy I have a space to call my own. You will too. Can’t wait to see the next video!

Marion is such a good husband! Your oil tank paint it with black chalk paint & write all your projects you want to do & decorate the top with fake plants & on bottom buy storage cubbies & use it to store stuff, just a idea.

It's so exciting to be starting a new phase in life. I've been working on my own craft room as well. I've taken our small dining room used all old repurposed furniture and painted everything. It's so nice to go "shopping" in my craft room and be inspired to do projects. Your doing a great job, looking forward to see the finished space.

First time viewer! This is going to be awesome! You could put some open shelves under the stairs for more storage or to display crafts (close it in and add a door if you just want some "hidden" storage)-- just a thought. As someone who collects craft supplies more than I get to craft, storage is on my mind 🤣

I feel like we live in the same house! LOL! We had one of those weird brick things in our basement too. We found out it was used for an old cistern pump. We were able to remove it (hubs had a friend who is a brick mason). We also had an old oil tank in our basement. Once the oil company disconnected it hubs was able to get it out of the basement.
Love how the pups and kitty help supervise! You have such a sweet husband!

Watching for ideas. i live in a town home which although not huge has a nice sized basement. part of it is drywalled in for laundry area and i create a pantry area and i am working on storage and craft space as well as an area for my grandaughter who is 9. so hopefully i can get some creative juices flowing from your redo
