"Don't. I need help." That part at the end is absolutely brilliant. House almost killed someone, and he knew exactly what he had done. You can see it on his face, and you can hear it in his voice. He's not simply insane; he's one of the most realistically self-aware characters of any TV show I've ever seen.

Okay, but if he was able to pass the tests, without meds, either he didnt need the medication, or the tests are faulty. Otherwise he shouldnt have been able to pass with no meds.

From context it sounds like an mood/ mental wellbeing test so house could have easily cheated and picked the answers he knew would give him the best results

Also medication works in conjunction with actually trying to get better, if you’re being forced to take meds but are just planning to get out and think you’re completely sane they’re not gonna work they’re gonna at best make you a zombie
