But I know that my 8400 which I am unable to run higher than 7400 I at least compared to XMP run better timings than other 7200 kits. It would make sense as its higher bin ram. BUT does it scale several thousand mhz lower!? Good question. I often think of this but always if you listen online the "experts" always agree that bandwith over latency?! I always run the highest bandwith possible in this case I am limited to 7400 being a 4 dimm board. But Because the RAM is 8400 I can run very agressivbe timmings. Giving a great combo of both. A comparision is that my RAM at 7400 with my timings run quite a bit faster with VEYR lower latency compared to if I set them to XMP 8000 which I can run bench and what not its just not stable for gaming due to motherboard technical limitations.

Just wanted to say that, it was/is also DDR4 issues with Raptor Lake as well as DDR5. I only recently finally found out what the issue to my new build is and it was a 13700k that refused to post w two dimms of DDR4 on a z690 STRIX A. Thought the issue was the board for the longest time but found out it is the CPU afterall. Anyway, my point is that Raptor Lake has RAM memory issues and not just a 'DDR5' thing. Love that you're growing, dude! Peeps better recognize! Keep it up!
I’m not trying to argue with you man, but just because your CPU was faulty doesn’t mean all raptor Lake CPU’s have DDR4 issues. What you just described is extremely rare with Intel. (I’ve had 3 AMD CPUs crap out a Memory Channel)
Try an older bios version with microcode 10e or 15. My ddr4 is not stable with latest bios versions unless i downclock it. But with version 10e and 15 i can run them at 4133mhz cl15 g1 without any issue and my cpu voltage is below 1.394v when using the older microcode bios. With the newer versions it runs at 1.52v

I was just responding to the video when he insinuated that the majority of the Raptor Lake problems are DDR5 related when its memory in general, is all. Just so you know, I tested my 13700k with 2 other boards (Asrock rs pro d/4 and Aorus z790 Pro x w 2 different DDR5 sticks) and it wouldn't post w 2 sticks but as soon as I threw in a borrowed 12700k every board with any RAM worked. Intel just replied with RMA instructions today for a 13700k replacement.

Bro! Come on.. I have the same chip and even IF there is a AMD X3D something out there that can perform depending on usecase! 10% more frames this does not mean your KS is crap or obsolete! And while I acknowledge it can have a high powerdraw this is only in child benchmark like Cinebench. In normal use or gaming you would not really notice the difference if compared to a X3D cpu. it would litterly be a waste of money to change and say your KS is obsolete! It just does not makes sense what you say. At this point in time I would argue that 13900K(s) and 14900K(s) does NOT have a reasonable path to upgrade! The i285K has failed and the X3D cpu (being the 9800) are 10% faster in 1080p non v sync games. I play 4K some the difference does not matter that much. BUT either way AMD or Intel you would be looking at a upgrade of CPU and mainboard and perhaps RAM if you seek CU dimm... this path would cost THOUSANDS of dollars to give 10-15% in SOME games or if 285k mostly lower FPS! But pay attention that the 9800 X3D gets NUKED in everything ELSE than gaming by the older Intel CPUS. Theres just no way a 8c/16t outperforms the 24c/32t. So there are NO reasonable path to upgrade for you and if you do you would loose in oher aress not to mention that cost of upgrade would be ridicolous based on results. I have hears from several users that the X3D including this "youtuber" in this video (who change oppinion very often) that having a X3D is great for gaming but ALL else it sucks! Browsing, Windows, file compression, shader compile and what not it woudl be significant SLOWER. But if you ONLY game.. sure! But againg this is a Intel review and I can tell you right here.. the i285K does NOT deliver! In most cases its slower that your current CPU in game. Yes productivity it shines and Cinebench runs lol! But I was once fooled by this high speed ram shit that I learned my lession. This does not make a real world difference! Going from 6000 to 8000 mhz memory spending a lot of money gave me nothing other than some benchmark numbers.. I was actually verty disappointed by the difference. But if you wanna burn money or something you should AT LEAST wait for Intels next gen which could use same socket. The ram is NOT worth it and the 285K disappoints.
A lot of duplicated waffle. The tech term for "clock re-driver" is clock buffer. No reason why it cant be used with older motherboards, you dont need to bypass the clock buffer.

Wondering if you could buy a Z790 that will split the 16 available gen 5 lanes; 8 to the GPU and then use the other 8 (or 4) for a Gen 5 NVME, and have no loss in performance due to the 5090 going down to 8 lanes? If you put the time in and learn all the ins and outs of all 30 of those clocks and voltages you can get some really tweaked and unique bundles made. Plus consults out the anus. More switches they give you the better as far as your business goes, gonna be epic, especially with the on chip full voltage control.

Dropping the graphics slot from 16 to 8 would be virtually impossible to tell in any game. The memory slots have shorter pin length that's why they supposedly offer better speeds IMHO questionable two slot memory on a mother board is always superior IMHO. Some of your explanations were particularly good and helpful for people new to computing (chipset use in particular) others were at times inaccurate. It's not a chiplet design it's a layer design. The memory training does exactly what it says thus the 5-6-hour timescale. The CU Dimm's have a clock driver on them to provide clock signals throughout the electronic circuit. I feel like the 24gb stuff runs about has hot as 16gb a die I have no active cooling on dual rank a die and they sticks only get up to 55c. Well on one of my sticks the temp sensor glitches out and goes to 3550c but the hotter of my 2 sticks goes to 55c at 1.44v
