    Hi Tony! A quick tip about the wire routing - you can snip off the top the rx box wire hole to make it a simple slot that's open from the top. This will allow easier installation and removal of the electronics. This will be a running change on future kits.

      Good tip! I was thinking about doing that to 'save time' but figured it wasn't designed that way so maybe it NEEDED to be installed under. Running change, great addition! Thanks!

    Do you use locktite on any of the screws? Also didnt see a link to those teflon coated pliers.

      We only use threadlocker when screws are going into any type of metal, including aluminum. It doesn't take much - just a light dab - to keep the screws in place. We actually added a Threadlock logo in the parts required boxes on screen.
      The pliers can be found here: alnk.to/fSgG4Xb
      Enjoy!

      A full list of what we used is in the description, but basically a Futaba radio, MKS servo and Castle motor and ESC.

    Why the 2.0 and not the SL? I’m thinking about building one and I’m not sure which one I should go with.

      Well the 2.0 has some pretty major updates and will be Tekno's go-to platform for awhile. If you're on the fence still, I say go with what's current.

    Question :
    Why a reversed screw for the bottom of the right front shock is used ?

    • @Competitionx
      @Competitionx  Рік тому

      When the suspension moves up and down, the lower part of the shock tends to swivel. With a standard screw, there were times where mud or dirt in that area would cause the screw to back its way out, resulting in the shock coming undone. This reverse screw basically prevents that from happening.

      Got it. Thanks

    Okay so I'm thinking about building a rc car with this tekno kit.So whats the minimum that I will spend on a more budget build?

    • @Competitionx
      @Competitionx  9 місяців тому +1

      That's hard to say. The truck itself is around $470. Then you need a decent servo ($100), ESC/motor combo ($150), battery ($100), charger ($75) and radio gear ($150). Tires and wheels are also needed, so another $100 maybe. Those prices are average for decent equipment, totaling around $1100 - could be a little more, could be a little less. But, this is a competition-level racing truck, not a basher. If you're looking for a great basher, I might go with Tekno's MT410 2.0. Then your equipment could be scaled down a bit for a fun truck and not a competitive one.

    This may sound crazy. I am new to RC. What charger do you use to charge this style battery? Scott

    • @Competitionx
      @Competitionx  Рік тому

      Any good balancing LiPo charger can charge it. Here's a good selection to check out: bit.ly/45Y9SPV

      Guess you missed out. That ring was a gift from a very special friend. Sorry, it stays :)
