I don't know what I like best... your knits or your enthusiasm (probably both, equally). How lovely to share with us your family heritage story! I hope your stay ended peacefully. I'm sure you were all the happier to be with your family again!
You are so sweet. Haha! Thank you so much for being here to hear my ramblings! My stay was wonderful indeed, but it made it all the better to see the family again after being away. :)
First of all: YES to the non-mom non-wife weekend! I would LOVE to join you for one of these weekends and go yarn shopping and just chill 👏 Also, your modular blanket is so cool. I wonder if I have enough leftovers to make a start at least. I would no say no to an official pattern if you ever make one for this pattern btw 😬 So glad I found you (via Instagram)!
Yesss the trip was wonderful, but I would LOVE to have a getaway with yarny friends to shop and chill. That sounds so so lovely... sigh.. :) Haha!! and a pattern, ey? Hmm... Tempting... So happy you're here, Francesca!
Thank you for keeping me company during my nap time knitting! I dont know why, but your episodes always bring me so much peace! So happy you got away for a weekend of restoration-- can't wait to see more of your projects!
Love yournblanket for your daughter. Currently im working on a granny square afghan in red white and blue. I wish i could knit like you. I only make slippers and scarfs with knitting. Enjoy the rest of your vacation. I also live in so cal so woolens are never worn. Too warm.
Lovely to have a catch up with you again! Your projects are beautiful. The grow with me blanket is such a clever idea, and your daughter's dress turned out very well. Have a look at Love Notions patterns, they have the Breckenridge henley tee, and they probably also have something for kids, I can't remember right now 😂 Keep well!
Hi Tracy! You are so kind. And Ooh thank you for the suggestion. I looked it up and it looks like it's a sewing pattern... *sobs* I wish I was more skilled in sewing, but alas.. I am not. I was able to find a child-sized knitted henley tank pattern though! I shared it towards the end of my most recent episode (5) - if you are interested. :D
@@therapybycraft yes, I'm sorry, Ive been watching sewing podcasts lately as well as knitting, and I forgot that you need a knitted top 😂 The one you found looks really good!
Omg, that’s a blanket of my dreams! I’ve been thinking the exact same thing since I saw the Purl Soho blanket and you did it! So pretty and now I want to cast on straight away! 😅
I recommend prewashing the kinross 4ply. Then you have the cashmere experience from the start! For all those hours of knitting, I find it totally worth it. I just finished a Niamh sweater in this yarn in bright red and used less than 5.5 skeins. It's on Ravelry if you want to see it :-) I love it so much and ordered 3 more sweater's quantities. I might make a Light Trails sweater and another Niamh, and maybe a cardigan. Looking forward to hearing your ideas with this yarn :-) Love your podcast. Marijke
OOh that's very good to know. I totally checked out your Niamh - it's lovely! It seems like the Kinross has quite a bit of mileage per skein, so that's very exciting. It opens up the possibilities quite a bit. :) Thank you for your tips, Marijke!
Really enjoyed your podcast thank you taking the time out to record I hope you are fully relaxed. I found your comment about Europe \ England because although I have never been I have a love of all things Californian maybe it's because London has four seasons in one day and it's tiring 😄 Take care looking forward to your next podcast
I have been watching a UK yarn dyer on UA-cam - Corner of Craft - and love her. You might enjoy her as well. Also going to try some of those comes of yarn once my stash is back to fitting on my shelves 😳
@@therapybycraft Hannah from Corner of Craft also bead weaves stitch markers, knits and crochets, married a baker, and has 2 cats. My older cat energy is happy she understands our charm HAHA! She is calming but also a bit of a nerd so I totally relate.
Haha yes! I should've mentioned in the episode that the yarn selection was pretty scarce when I went this last time. The real treasure seemed to be in the fabric - majority of the patrons there seemed to be sewists!
@@aneedleandyarnco Yeaahh right?? I'm lucky that my LYS has some beautiful buttons, but I was glad to be able to get similar ones for a fraction of the price. :) Come come come! Never going to argue against you visiting SoCal again. :D

Hi there! Oh, if only we could switch lives for a few days, ey? Sometimes I get sick of the constant sun of southern california. xD
How can you say that sick of sunshine no 😀
However It has occurred to me that I would have to reconsider my knitting choices 🤔
ok I'm influenced, I need to make a granny square something from my scraps as well!
yeesssssssss
