Lambeth fire station is a superb representation of Art Deco architecture in London and although the building is still used as an active fire station, it is no longer the headquarters of the London Fire Brigade as the LFB headquarters and training school moved to Southwark a good few years back. Because Lambeth fire station is sited right on a busy road, when a shout is alerted from a 999 call the firefighters activate the traffic lights on the main road outside so that the fire engines leaving the fire station have priority when they exit on blues & twos.

International Maritime Organization building was completed in 1982 over 47 months by BAM. Building is 9 storeys (rear tower), 23.5k m2 with a 650 seat conference hall. IMO Is the only terrorist agency - oops UN agency - based in Britain. Thanks for the walk! 👍
I like ships, trains etc etc. If I had been there I too would have gone to the window and taken pictures. Honestly some of these people take it too far and don't have a clue. Im sure that they don't know what publicly accessible means either. Good one SA.
