For everyone that's wondering he played high school ball up until his sophomore year at age 16. The major league rules say if you drop out of highschool you have to stay out one year to be signed, therefore, for what would be his junior year, he played for the College of Southern Nevada at the age of 17 to get his GED which is basically a high school diploma. So that way he could enter the draft as an 18 year old, he was signed to the Nationals AA affiliate team, and then played for the Nationals the following year at the age of 19

A third of a billion dollar contract in 2019. This at bat is a perfect example of why I stopped loving the game I grew up with, listening to a couple thousand games on the radio. After every single pitch, he backs out of the batter’s box, tightens both batting gloves, takes a full practice swing, takes a deep breath, looks at the pitcher, then several steps back to the box and get those cleats dug in again. It’s why I have better things to do than watch three minute at bats.
What do you expect? A quick in and out inning every time with nonstop action and poor defense and all offense? In and out in 40 minutes game over? Go watch crappy NBA 🤡!
