Another Easter egg from this set is that you can build a Late Panzer IV J platoon if you mix the ‘sagging’ three return wheel tracks from the Jagdpanzers included in here with Panzer IV H kits from their other sets. Battlefront have stopped making their Panzer IV J resin sets which could be used in Berlin or Bagration battles
Your "yodeling" mini is an American officer yelling. It's the US command spru for the US infantry set. You have a US rifle command stand and you have the BARs for a US Rifle platoon. Nice score there!
I recently bought that box. I needed a few extra 88 guns, artillery guns and extra tanks. I was looking for models that I actually put on the table and use often. Since I am playing a lot of mid war iron cross and ghost panzer so the marder options were also a choice to go with. This box is actually a great addition if you want to add some extra models to your army without buying the seperate boxes and then perhaps have models you never put on the table. I normally play 100 point matches so it was the box to go for.
A little addendum to my last comment. Try magnetizing the tracks of the Marder and Hetzer. That lets you field either version without buying an extra box.
So an odd note with the Hetzer: the commander's hatch is actually the right rear hatch (on the downward slope of the rear). This was a tiny tank with a big gun, and the crew was fit in where they could manage to find room, not where it would normally be. (also, great video once again)
Thanks for the video. I really like this starter set. Great new German tanks and AA support. The only thing missing in doing both the Hetzer and Marder is there is only one set of tracks. I generally like starter sets for number and variety of models and a good price. The only German starter set I haven't purchased is the Waffen SS since I already had most of the models. Can you mix units from different books as longs as they are all late war? I would also like to see a starter set battle.

Is there any way to disable a tank in FOW so that an assault gun cannot turn to move its gun? I only see an option to bail out a crew other than a kill in the rules. Seems there’s no weakness to assault guns in this game otherwise!
In the game a Tank is only one of three states. Good, Bailed out, destroyed. That said there are limitations to fixed assault guns. If you are behind them they have to turn to shoot, possibly losing rate of fire or successfully Blitz.

Starter box vs starter box would be an interesting battle report
I second this.
I third this...lol!
I think Battlefront recruits packers from IKEA and then the candidates face off in a Tetris tournament. The winner gets the job.
Going to have to grab this one
The half of the sprue with the "yodeling" guy is the American Rifle Company HQ. You won't need that for your Kampfgruppe, please send them to me. ;)

I'm guessing you don't do US rifles.

Very Nice! That "yodeling" dude looks like he is American. In fact all 6 of those look like American figures. Could it be a nice BONUS!!!!!
That was my first thought too!

I suspect that you are not getting the snug fits because of the sprue connectors not being trimmed all the way.

Interesting they don't include dice...
Do you paint on the sprue, on a popsicle stick, on the base, or other?
Does anyone know if you’ll need the D-Day Germans to go along with this?
You don't need D-Day Germans to use this book.
The irony with the hard-to-glue side-skirts is that they were flimsy and fell off all the time in real life too.
Not every german trooper is yodeling! lmao
I would feel upset, being a german myself, but since we rightfully lost, I will ignore the insult.
Yodeling in a time honored tradition :-)
Thanks! Maybe the way into Germans. After my Americans.
