Build and painted one "Hummel": Got the gaps created by the front armour part too. I have to say: Not enough crew men for that SPA per vehicle. And: Dear, this is a big vehicle! Nice review. Gonna build the early and late version of the Hummel when it comes to the drivers cover.
Trekan, I suspected the gaps were in the kit design and not because my sprue had been violated so brutally. Funny. BF usually do a better job of engineering joins than that.
Thanks for another great review and all the other ones you produced over the year. I am painting up some of the metal and resin ones of these I got in the mid war sale but think Santa is bringing some of the plastic ones :) Hope you have a great Christmas and looking forward to hearing your and the other Table Ready hosts views on Battlefronts plans for 2023 :)
Always have loved your video format for the models. I have two of these models from the Ghost Panzers starter set but can't figure how to use any of them. Probably Hornisses but still I don't think that I will ever field them. :(
@@FogofWar it might an overshoot to use them in mid war. I think the game can be won by quantity and agility rather than giants with paper thin armor. I still need more experience though with Mid War.
And man, that is some insane level of postal misstreatment. Those plastic parts a pretty durable inmy experience. Did they bash all parcels with a hammer or put them on the road and drove over it? Hope you (or the supplier) got your money back at least.
No. Not unless you get it in one of the Army starter boxes. The big starter boxes include cards, but the platoon boxes do not. You’d need to buy the separate unit card box set.
Props to you for managing to save and still use the broken piece!
Yeah. Wasn't sure I was going to be able to pull it off.
Finally a replacement for the resin and metal kit. This is much better, and very nice looking!
Glad the review proved useful!
Related to 10:17 Swearing is an underrated tool for modeling small fiddly parts. It has helped me many times.
me everytime I drop a small part on the ground haha
Swearing is an essential for every modeller's toolkit. :-)
A nice review Harry, and testament to the kit that it was able to be build after the battering
Callum, I think I was very lucky with how the kit broke, to be honest. I’m glad it went together enough for a review!
Nice work mate, I really like that in this kit you can make the Early and Late Hummel
Yes. I believe you may have said something about that before. It is a nice touch. See all the cool stuff you can do with plastic?

Excellent review, thank you for the history of the vehicles and the list inclusion compatibility
Thanks. The review format has proven popular - and people seem to like the history especially.

Thanks Aled. Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones. Hope I (and we) continue to entertain in 2023.
Great review, even better repair job.
Thank you for sending the kit. Sorry our mail services are so crap!
Yes gun first, is the way to go, casement last
I know that NOW! :-)

Hornisse give you a big punch for that period of the war. They can be an unpleasant surprise for your opponent - particularly popped from ambush!

Love these new plastic kits much better than the old resin ones. Does anyone still play the game anymore tho?
There are still players and events around.
thank you
You're welcome!
I would note that following "e"s are NOT silent in German. Hor-niss-eh
Yeah. My German-speaking viewers politely but firmly corrected me. I’ll know better for next time!

Managed to save it, but it was a challenge!
I find swearing helps too!
Yes. It is a versatile tool…
Crew figs look good
Really? I wasn’t convinced they were BF’s best work if I’m being honest…
I made 5 of these and needed filler on all of them. I tried every way I could think of to get the fighting compartment together.
Yeah. I suspected as much. BF have done better work.
nice review and a sexy looking vehicle (imo)
Glad I was able to save it!
Does this come with unit cards?

Royal Snail and Aussie Pess Service Level Standard. Can't move anything these Day, There more Stike in Royal Snail at monet
Frustrating, isn't it!
Hey, it's a german vehiecle, not french. HornissE, not HornEEce ;)
Asgeirr - Thanks for that. A few people have commented on my terrible pronunciation. Now I know better for the future. Sorry!
So crappy mailing services are an universal thing... poor hornisse
But saved it in the end...
