Hi Sassy, this song was released in 1985 and charted at no.5 in the U.K....the video was directed by David Mallet...he did “Barcelona” and “Made in Heaven” (there could be others😊)...Arlene Phillips choreographed it....”Living on My Own” was also released in 1985....and did really well in the charts worldwide....in 1993 it became a huge hit in clubs all over Europe...by the way Reinhold Mack was the producer..do you remember him in the “One Vision” documentary?

I have the same issue with listening to The Show Must Go On, Mother Love and A Winter's Tale. They are such beautiful songs. Knowing what Freddie was going through when he sang them makes them even more exquisite but also so heartbreaking. I iove your comment about being chased by Freddie. You're awesome for saying that, i don't think most straight men would sat that even though you're correct-it would have been fun. Miss him so much. @@lasuna7792 Mother Love is a real tearjerker, the moment when you hear Brian singing the last verse you know that Freddie's gone, the song is from the Made in Heaven album which was out in 1995, it's a beautiful album, i have every Queen album from Queen in 1973 to Made in Heaven from 1995 on one app on my phone, just go to the Google Play Store and type in Queen Modern Music Library in the search box and it will come up, just got the new Queen album as well from Amazon, it's called Live Around The World, 20 classic songs from different concerts around world, it is absolutely amazing, The Show Must Go On and I Was Born to Love You are both on it, Adam Lambert smashes it on vocals!! 😀 😀

You might like the Queen version better, around 2011they remastered the sound and took down the "disco" beat, and the girls were cut out in favour of the band playing the tune.
Great, timeless song, it still has airplay over here in Germany. I never understood why they are shoving the actress around in the beginning. I‘ve read, that she hurt herself from one jump during the work on the video. They rushed her to hospital, and Freddie didn‘t rest until he heard she‘s well. Like others I recommend the Queen version.
