The black mamba one is definitely not TA. The reason they have been on the same backdrop is that they were reviewed by the same person at the same time…
Hmm and TransArt were ok with their figures being used in other 3P's images? I would have thought they'd be straight on the phone to ShowZ and saying something about that.
I think this is the best TA release so far. He's REALLY stable thanks to all those stiff toe joints in both modes. I've currently got him in robot mode in a wide stance with his tail stretched out behind him, not supporting him. I can adjust his arms and head and he won't fall over. Fiddle with the toes on yours more.
@@TransformsIntoAGuitar Yeah a lot of people have said about the toes, I didn't consider it at the time and it does work but I still think it's a miss not having ankle tilt. I'm pleased you like the figure though. Re: the blast effect, yes it's not the deepest peg but it does want to spring back out almost immediately, I can't seem to work out if I need to turn to lock it in or whatever.
@@ArrowFyre I figured someone would have pointed it out, but wanted to be sure. On mine the effect has a thinner section about 3mm long. If I make sure it's at least 75% in it doesn't fire out.
@@ArrowFyre definitely fair, I have had a further play about with him and an ankle pivot really would have benefitted this figure. The holographic turret in egg form can fit inside the tail btw, you can flip up a flap and slot it in
Not sure why you keep referring to the DB-01 as a KO. Technically, both are KOs as they're not official Hasbro. The Black Mamba one isnt a knock off of Transart's. They are completely different in design and transformation. Also, the "egg" is from the episode 'Proving Grounds' and can be stored at the base of the tail.
@@jordanrose7176 I'll be honest, I didn't consider toe movement to substitute for ankle tilt. I did move them and found them very stiff. But I still cannot fathom why they'd leave out an ankle joint all together where their previous figures have one.
@@ArrowFyre You might need to loosen them up again, but toe movement can do a great job when positioned right. It might not be as ideal, but I don't think you can really fairly overlook it in a review.

I'm the opposite, I prefer the Transmetal design, but I tended to not like the 'real animal' looks nearly as well. (Oh, 90's CG, you!) It seems like he's going to be rather like my Jiangxing MetalBeast, set him up and let him look pretty but don't mess with him too much (MetalBeast is a nightmare to pose, beautiful, but a nightmare to pose). It seems like it definitely would have benefited with coming with a stand, much like the Takara MP one. But I suppose I'll see how I manage when my Dino Claw actually comes in lol (I'm actually surprised at seeing the Takara MP Dinobot standing as well as he was in your video, since he's so top heavy I'm always using the stand when I display him.)
Two things. 1 he us SUPPOSED to look like a skeleton. Hence all the white. 2 he doesn't need ankle tilt cause he has leg tilt which acts the same way. I have mine posed in a dynamic pose with the leg tilt and it works just fine.
When did last watch Beast Wars? Might be worth a rewatch 😃 tbh, I didn't feel like it ruined OG Dinobot's farewell as this isn't the original. He's a copy in TM2 form, with the memories of OG Dinobot and the half spark of Rampage. Best way to separate the two. I feel their personalities are very different, even the voice.
The lack of ankle tilt is unforgivable. Everyone trying to defend it because the feet have some lucklaster claws with up and down movement needs to remember that this is a mistake brand new companies make. TransArt has been in the game for a few years now and their teething period is over. I also like where you're going with your tinfoil theory. The BlackMamba version has an entirely different transformation, a really bad one. I myself think Transart sold off their first design to BM and started over from scratch, thus the delay.
I've tried a couple of times, but then you watch it back and most of it ends up out of shot. It's just not worth it. I try to highlight unusual parts of a transformation if needed, fragile pieces etc..
Just got mine and as far as ankle tilt the posable toes make up for it! Which I feel is a better option because it doesn't break the form. All you have to do is place the toes down to balance the figure. Same goes for Dino mode. I don't like this review because you were biased from the beginning on making the review and you failed to actually give a decent review.
@@hectorperales6831 What an unnecessary comment. You're entitled to your opinion of course as I am to mine, but I don't agree with your assessment whatsoever. People seem upset that I dislike something they like but it is my role to review and critique. I have said I do not feel toe balancing makes up for a lack of ankle tilt, I do not consider it a valid replacement. If you do not like that then perhaps this video isn't for you.
Dude you'll ain't got no taste who are saying "it's not my favourite beast wars character" and you'll are so ungrateful, when they killed off dinobot's character it was very graphic and heartfelt, my heart was broken but dinobot transmetal looks "SO COOL" the producers planned to eliminate dinobot and suprise everyone by bringing him back as a transmetal 2 from the beginning of beast wars, the monocle eye laser, the big sharp claws and the tail in robot mode looks refreshing and it still hasn't grown old to me!
@@TheEndokuken Honestly Dinobot Transmetal II is my most anticipated Beast Wars figure, whether it be offiical or third party I've been waiting for him just like I was a new Vector Prime and with both coming out this year I'm doin so good..

One of the best Beast wars transart figure !!!
He lacks ankle tilts but with the toes being posable and movable I'd found he can support his weight well enough
