@@MythsAndHeroes Nope, I've never needed his tail as a third leg, nor needed to adjust it as a counter-balance. It's how the toes are adjusted that does it, and that's why the dinotoes are so damned stiff.
I absolutely love Beast Wars. But I'll fully admit that I don't enjoy a lot of the Transmetal designs. I'm someone who loves the Season 1 designs where they tried to do the "realistic" animals. That's why I really hope that Robot Toys keeps doing BW characters like the images they've shown off. Thanks for saving me the money on these, Bobby.
Great toy great show, a little more serious than g1 cartoons in fact everybody can kiss beast wars ass cause transformers wouldn't be here today without that cartoon they were dead and gone
I respectfully disagree with you on TransArt. Toon accuracy is the best way to go and TransArt is killing the game right now. Their figures are great, except for Blackwidow and Quickstrike who are a bit on the loose side, but great on aesthetics. Junk? All reviews have been positive on this figure. It looks like the tv show, Bobby. It isn’t supposed to look like a an actual dinosaur. Watch the tv show so your critics are more credible. My figure poses well and isn’t loose.
Some of this is tolerance issues on the copy you’ve looked at(I know you can only base it on what you see). Other bits I feel are like your bias which normally doesn’t get quite to the lack of interest and such you have in this review. I’m not sure if you have other stuff going on or where maybe you sound like you have a bit of a bug at the moment. Something with your enthusiasm for reviews seems off here compared to normal. If you had seen the figure this is trying to emulate you would see the massive strides it has made in comparison. I agree that at times TA have dropped the ball like with some of their finger articulation and such which does need work but they have given this as much articulation as some of the better known 3P G1 companies. I enjoy your reviews normally but do think there is something more biased and such in just this review specifically (as you did highlight some of the benefits of this figure like it’s paint) and that’s not me attacking or anything please don’t get me wrong with that. Please don’t take any of this the wrong way as like I say, any other review I find you to leave your bias at the door as much as possible and be objective and usually I agree with a lot of what you say and I want to emphasise that.
You nailed this review, despite whatever misgivings you may receive from others. I still have most of the OG TMBW toys, many of which I custom painted to make them look like these do, so I have purchased none of these as honestly, they look like what I already have, only in a larger MP scale, not worth the price of admission.
I think they're just charging too much for these. I know Fanstoys gets some shit for their prices. But they're usually at least built and painted well. Transart stuff just looks rough. And it shouldn't, for how much they cost.
I try to take advantage of as much transformer stuff as possible so that I stay familiar with the companies when I have sit down Saturday discussions. This company specifically I think has a long way to go. But I’d rather know for sure than be ignorant to it.
I love this figure. Yes he could've had ankle pivots but other then that he's perfect imo.
Definitely a great edition to my mp bw shelf
There are no balance issues with this figure. I've had no trouble getting him in dynamic poses in either mode.
Both positions in the end are using his tail as a kick stand to stay upright.
