Kyle Householder, Ph.D. talks about "How to Break Into Your First MSL Role and Progress Your Career as an MSL."
Kyle earned his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Arizona State University in 2018 while conducting research at Barrow Neurological Institute focused on novel carriers, targeting ligands, and administration routes to improve drug delivery to the central nervous system (CNS). Following his Ph.D., he moved to Houston, where he worked as a consultant for local health science start-ups. He also completed a short post-doc at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UT Health), running IND-enabling pre-clinical studies for intrathecal chemotherapies. Kyle first entered the pharmaceutical industry as a Medical Science Liaison with Teva Pharmaceuticals, and progressed to Sr. MSL, supporting their movement disorder and psychiatry products. Currently, Kyle is a Field Medical Director at Ionis Pharmaceuticals, working across multiple therapeutic areas to support Ionis’ antisense technology pipeline.
