Great walkthrough! I’ve been staring at Natives for a long time. I’ve had the PDL, the Hobie PA12, and the Bonafide. Finally graduated up to an Unlimited but now missing the pedal drive. My biggest concern watching Blanchard was constant wet feet. Yes I know they make waterproof boots but your epoxy idea is way cheaper lol. May be looking to trade in the Unlimited again.
I just use that "Liquid Electrical Tape" I got at Harbor Freight, and dabbed it on the underside of the knots of bungee cord! No more LEAKS on either Titans! ( I still get a little leakage from the pedal drive cover at full throttle on the little 10.5 Titan, though, at nearly 5 mph...! (I guess I'll have to "Double-Gasket" it!). Lol
I haven’t upgraded the tires and only used the trailer once. I didn’t go faster than 65mph but overall it was nice. I will upgrade the tires soon enough.
I mounted them at the bottom in the transducer spot for the gt56hd and inverted the pivoting bracket. I only run one transducer and the livescope on the rail blaza mount.
Thank you for your video..I'm building my titan X 10.5 and i ran into a problem while trying to install the Humminbird Helix Mega SI+ G4N transducer.... the Humminbird bracket is to narrow and does not align with the Titan X transducer mounting screws. Did you have a similar problem with yours and how did you resolve this? Also, where did you get those pull handles you are using to lift your motor??? I'd like to replace the little round knobs i got and didn't see anything like that on amazon. Thanks
I am not running a Humminbird but do have them on my bassboat. I would look for a 3D printed one or aftermarket metal one that is narrower. Thingiverse.com may have the files for it as well. Those pull handles are from New Port. I got them from Newport directly. Give them a call, great people, awesome customer service. Thank you for taking the time to watch this video. Feel free to ping me on instagram if you have questions @TACKLESHACKTX, always happy to help out.
Hi @monkeynaround. I have had it happen once but what you can do is put elastic straps or bungees to keep light tension on your foot steering tracks to prevent there being slack in the steering lines that cause it to wrap around the knobs. Also I used the braided steel lines cause it’s not as limp as the chord it comes with. Great question!
Thanks for the walkthrough. Nice rig. How is the build quality of the titan x? I’m really considering this kayak but I can’t find anyone even close to me that has one for me to see in person.
My honest review is it’s built solid. I use it 5 days a week and leave it outside. It does have some floor flex under the seat and the rear storage area if you stand on it. Otherwise it’s great. I do think the mold could be thicker but the pros out weigh the cons. Its ability to be wired and rigged is far better than my PA360. In my opinion, this is the best kayaks yet and I am not sponsored by anyone nor am I given anything to promote. I sorta wish I got a 10.5 cause this thing is heavy.
I've had Titan 'Yaks for the last 6 years, and they are ALL good. Picked up the Titan X 12.5 yesterday, and it seems to be the same build quality - Great...! I am still keeping my Titan 10.5, as I've got too much $$ to sell it (lNK-180, Garmin 93, batts., etc.). Haha! I can't wait to mount the NK300 and a 55 amp battery on it and "take it for a spin"! Lol... Only reason I got the larger 'Yak is I'll be fishing in Big water lakes, since they drained the lake I live on. Hope you get to see one in person, as it'll probably "Sell itself"!
I love how you have a kayak with all the bells and whistles that probably equal up to around $12,000 but then you have a $500 harbor freight trailer lol🤣
lol, I live on a lake, the kayak normally sits on the shore and have only trailered my kayak twice. But yes, I find it hilarious as well but needed a fold up trailer since my bass boat is in the garage.
You say you don’t need a 100 amp breaker, but that’s what you had. You may want to look into the point of a breaker. Bigger is not necessarily better. Especially if your wires are rated to something less than 100A.
Correct, there is a resettable breaker in the front hatch, just using that one as a replacement instead of a perko switch. Had a bunch of them laying around.
If you allow me.... Do not rest your kayak straight to the trailer. You may regret that on the long run. Try installing pvc pipes or carpeted bunk boards. Your kayak might go to crack at the bottom. Remember...it's just plastic..
I am aware. Thank you for sharing. I was at TXKBF over the weekend and people commented on that. The native hull does have significant flex. I plan on doing a carpeted flat deck since this hull is rather flat. Sadly I store this in my backyard on the grass or shoreline more often than not but I do cover it up. Let’s hope this TX heat doesn’t warp this one like it warped my PA360.
I have the Titan X, I want to buy the NK300 but a 36v battery is big. Can it fit in the hull under/behind the seat? I know you would have to remove the storage try.
That's nice 🎣

Wouldn’t the water be an issue again if you were using the pedal drive?
@@tallcip65 Good point. An expert would have to answer that question

How's the Harbour Freight trailer? Wasn't there a recall on them? Did you upgrade the tires? Aren't they rated only 55mph? Nice build!

I like the trailer
Thanks for video. Can you show how you mounted two transducers.

With your pull setup for the motor guide, does the line get wrapped around when you have spot lock on and it’s constantly turning?
Have you had trouble with the steering line getting stuck around the knobs on the back of the motor?

What kind of run times and speeds are you getting on the NK 300? I have a xi3 on my titan x but have been thinking of the NK 300.

Any issues with the lift line getting wrapped around your Xi3 shaft when in spot lock?
I have not had any issues. Typically when in pinpoint mode, the Motörhead knows not to rotate more that 360 degrees. Is this happening to you?
I will soon find out. I just installed mine. Hope to take it out this weekend.
