Great video,Hannah! I have a question related to Facebook Ads..I offer a variety of family gifting products, including Mother’s Day and Father’s Day gifts, gifts for sons, granddaughter, goddaughter, gifts from baby bump, and graduation gifts on my Shopify store. Each gift box contains a necklace and a thoughtful message card, priced between $40 to $90, including shipping. I exclusively sell to customers in the USA. Should I opt for broad targeting or interest targeting? The interests I am thinking to target include Macy’s, Nordstrom, engaged shoppers, online shopping, gifts, and flowers, all relevant to potential gift buyers.
As usual, amazing video packed with helpful information! A question - pls if there’s a video on this feel free to ignore my question ñ, I’ll dig into more videos to find the answer. if I wanted to, very big picture, account for marketing spend per item to calculate a realistic COGS, what would you say is an average percentage? And is that percentage calculated on the revenue value or after deducting fees? Thank you!!!
Thank you so much for watching! I would not recommend including an average marketing percentage in your cost of good sold, cogs is usually its own bucket versus marketing. Can I ask what the motivation for this is Maybe it will help me understand more of what your goal is
@@EcomHannah Thank YOU! what I'm trying to do is account for marketing cost per listing to have a more realistic profit number. It doesn't have to be exact - but if it cost me $10 to produce & ship an item, but I'm spending X amount on ads per day - I want to account some of that Ad spend and add it to the $10. You probably already have a video on this - I'm just trying to find a middle point between ignoring marketing costs and accruing for every cent spent.
I think you are the third or fourth person that has requested this and the more people that request the higher priority becomes so thank you for letting us know. We currently do not support it.
Hello, this is my little story, i opened a shop on Etsy with one of my friends at the beginning of March 2024 and we are doing POD with Gelato. We calculated the cost of Etsy and Gelato to get at the end a profit of around 30% we sell posters, frames and canvas btw... So far we sold 17 products with 620$ in sales and 210$ in net profit this month. So far it seems so good but I would like to get more review on my products so people could trust me more, any advice? and also about ads knowing my income last month, how much should I spent on ads?
When it comes to ads something is better than nothing start small if you want only invest in listings that are organically selling first, but I would say check out my full ads trainings in my UA-cam channel. I have so many free trainings on this.

There’s so many strategies to this you could split test the targeting and have one ad set targeting broad, and then one ad set with actual targeting
Just what I needed. Thank you!
Thank you for watching :]
9:16 - Do these figures account for sales? Many people price things so they can have a 50% off sale.
Yes! All the historical data is based off sales, less discounts and refunds

Hi, Hannah. Do you plan for ProfitTree to have integration with Gelato? That's where most of my POD sales volume is.
