I would like to write something deeply profound that adequately describes the power of Bowie's vocal range which is so well showcased here and so beautifully binds this song but I will just say this is fucking awesome.
his performance is so deep that , sometimes, he is able to make me suffer soul pain.
hours is enjoyable in almost all of its aspects, heathen is also a masterpiece, this one and slow burn are for me at the very top with several others coming in closely! never stop david! never!
I first did not like the song very much on the hours album, but performed live it is really wonderful... this happened more than once with many of his already excellent songs, when he sang them live, they really became incredible !!

Yes. Words do not describe the glory of David Bowie . . . his voice is stunning on the Hours album. Hours is THE most severely unerrrated Bowie CD. Heathen (following Hours) is the next most underrrated.

Erst durch seinen Tod habe ich sein Werk entdeckt. Bei seinen Lebzeiten habe ich mir nur eine CD gekauft. Aber jetzt kenne ich mehr von ihm und bin erstaunt, was er alles gespielt hat und kann vergleichen. Mit anderen Gruppen, welche die gleichen Songs gespielt haben und wie. Das ist sehr interessant. ER war schon ein GIGANT.

This is so much better than the album version. It's a great song but the album version doesn't do it credit.
I'd love to see a remake of "The Nomad Soul" game featuring Bowie's same songs and contributions with his future band playing the bars in it again. . but this time use all the latest next gen tech. . The original game was too far ahead of it's time and did not do well because most people didn't have computers that could meet the specs to run it.

concerning memento. not too honouring thing is that nolan at first wanted "paranoid android" for the end credits, but simply couldn't afford it, so he got this song.
