      Thank you so much! Will be releasing a 50mm Sirui anamorphic lens review tomorrow as well and just like this video, it won't be me talking bullshit at a studio, but rather field testing it thoroughly!

    I can't decide if I like the blue sci fi flares in the back lit sun scenes. Looks great in those night scenes though.

    That “simple” flip on the drone shot at 3:14 had me rewind a couple of times, simply amazing the shots you got, editing, music, grade, pace...it shows that’s not the gear you have but how you use it! You have a keen eye my sir 👏 congrats and keep up de good work !💪 ( by the way if you don’t mind what did you use for the grade?)

      Hey, David! thank you so much for the awesome words! I know right, sometimes you just flip a scene and it feels like you just became Nolan himself haha.
      We used Colorista and Filmconvert for the Grade, highly recommended plugins!

    It is not your premiere. That's normal that you can't use the warp stabilizer on it because you have changed the aspect ratio by interpreting the footage. Interpret your footage put it into a sequence (time-line) and drag that sequence into a new time-line. Now try the warp stabilizer. That should work. Let me know.

    • @DreamDuoFilms
      @DreamDuoFilms  4 роки тому +4

      Tried. Still didn't work.. After effects doesn't have an issue like this :/ The way I solved it was Edit the clip (cut, colorcorrect, colorgrade) and then just render it out, import in premiere and then warp stabilize the clip. Visually it doesn't really impact the quality too much (if you're not a pixel-peeper), but it just sucks having to go that extra step, you know. But thank you so much for trying to help out, I really appreciate it!

    Anamorphic is more about the stretched bokeh than the flares. The flares is more of an (unwanted for me) byproduct. That's why I prefer to mod spherical lenses to get an oval aperture.

    Hi! Urgent question if anyone can help me. I would like to get the Sirui 35mm F1.8 anamorphic lens 1,33 APS-C but I have the impression that it exists only in 4/3 mount. On my side I have a Sony A6000 so I need an E-mount (Sony). On the official website when I select sony mount it adds an extra adapter ring to mount on the lens which remains a 4/3. Will I have any loss ? Also is it still interesting to choose this lens with my camera ?

      The image would be fine. At the same time, gear-heads like myself also would like the lens internals to not have any water and later on fungus. Siruis would really shake things up if their next anamorphic lenses were fullframe weathersealed and matched the prices of their current MFT anamorphic lenses.

    • @DreamDuoFilms
      @DreamDuoFilms  3 роки тому +2

      @@totoroutes5389 For comparison i have the samyang 12mm f2 (not weather sealed) for over 3 years now, and it has gone through a ton of wet and misty situations. I have left it for hours outside in cold, snowy weather as well as rain to just get a timelapse or something. When we were in Austria we had a 2 hour shoot outside in heavy rain, yes the image was a bit misty afterwards but after a day or two it went away and now a year later it works just like a brand new one did. Seriously mate, don't let the gear hold you back :)
