- The oven in my Kenwood range cooker oven stop working. I assumed that it must be the element. This video shows how I replaced it.

I’ve been tasked with replacing an element in a milano range and spent hrs looking for a video showing a rear plate removal demonstration of how to do it. Changed a few front screw elements but not rear access. Much appreciated matey 👍🏼
Good vid showing the more difficult element to change in an oven. I had the same and you very clearly showed how to deal with the more challenging element change….well done.
Fair play to you for showing the more difficult side of these things!! Brilliant work and thank you for the instruction 👍🏻
Excellent instruction. The oven door is very easy to in clip off and can make the job a touch easier.
Very good.
Exactly the video I was looking for, mine needs screwed from the back too in order to replace the heating element , I reckon I might need to unwire it first ,
My old cooker completely broke so I got a one off the scrap man for 10 quid and it all works except for the fan assisted heating element, I've ordered a new one for 12 quid and hopefully if I spend 10-20 minutes replacing it I will have got a decent working oven for only £22 and 2 hours of my time cleaning and repairing
And thanks too this video I can move forward with confidence and instruction 👍
Top man very useful video thanks for sharing with the world👍
Really appreciate this - mine’s one of the “hard ones” and I thought I may be missing something as all the others screw in from the front,
Glad I’m not alone!
Thanks a lot, just changed mine with help from this video!
Just saved me a fortune...Nice one 👍
Very helpful video, managed to change our element with your help, cheers 👍
is this element the one usually responsible for heating? mine has this element, but also a hidden bake element under the floor of the oven (I think)
Thanks. New subscriber to your channel.
👍
Thank you. The thing that surprises me is , if both contacts on the element have power detected why is the unit dead ? Surely if there is power going in one side contact and power coming out of the other contact that should mean it is passing through the element and creating a circuit, or am i missing somthing ?
It's only the circuit that's broken. I.e. the element. Same as a light bulb. The element will be broken but live and neutral will still be there. It's a parallel circuit so you'll always have a live and neutral. If I had placed the tester on the element, it wouldn't have registered.
Thanks internet dad, turn panic into a plan and a plan into action. Better than crying about a broken oven anyway.
Internet dad to the rescue! 😃
Thanks for this video. I think I have the same oven. However, mine is only 2 years old and the filament still looks brand new. The fan works but it’s not heating up. The grill filament does work however. Do u think I need to change the oven filament? Thanks!
The only way to really test it is taking it out and using a MultiMeter. However, it is likely the element has gone. I've replaced mine twice in the 6 years I've had it.
Is that insulation safe for the back of the oven? Like can it catch fire?
It's fire proof, so highly unlikely.
All done, the gaffer tape was actually the most helpful tip ! Simply holding parts and screwing in screws was arm aching
Any how, I changed my element and now my oven is working tip top my guvnor
Awesome!
