- Today I am building the delightful StuG III Ausf. B by Tamiya in 1:48th scale. It's a pretty good kit with only a few minor annoyances. Would recommend. Would buy similar kits in the future. What do you think?

The S-shaped parts are hooks that are used, for example, when towing with heavy chains.
The small box at the rear is the smoke system of the Pz III series. There were 5 or 6 smoke grenades stored there, which were triggered individually from the inside via a cable pull. These fell to the ground and filled the area around the vehicle with smoke. In principle, these were smoke grenades (hand grenades).
I've got a Panzer III kit by Tamiya in 1/48 so looking at the lower hull assembly with its die cast is helpful. Because it is the same hull.
What the Sturmgeschütz hides in the back is the hole for the crank to start the engine.
Looks like a great kit. A great video for sure.
I just did this as my first kit. I built the tank without all the little attachments like the shovel etc over a weekend. Still have to paint the track put them on, add the little things and paint.. Only encountered few minor things(Like slipping the top over the gun and getting it seated right) but thats probably me never having done a model then the kit. Id recommend this model to pop your model making cherry. I have the all plastic version no die cast lower body
the box on the rear of the stug is a cover for the smoke generator/grenades
There should be 5 small cylinders for that as you think stowage Boston back its actually the smoke discharges that sit above the exhaust but it's in the folded down position on this kit so wouldn't worry about it in that position
Hmmm.. about to go to school.
Can’t hurt to watch one more video right?
I had the 1/48 Tamiya tiger with a diecast hull I think you should try it
Cool kit but I hated the diecast hull
Yay a Stug 🅱
Now I'm always going to imagine my Stugs giggling when they blow things up
Check out Panzermadels. The giggling of tanks will drive you insane.
My Stugs move to the StarWars imperial march; or if I'm feeling cultured to Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries
Although Sabaton and DragonForce also crop up.
Tamiya do really good models!
Wrong, Herbert Erpaderp makes good models.
If tracks assembly started from sprocket it'd have been even easier. Also in length and link track assembly direction should be always in the direction of the track teeth (like what you have done). Nice model
Nice!
I always saw this kit in pretty much every toy shop in Brisbane! Is that where you got yours? I nearly bought it a couple of times... Also, I suggest the Tamiya 1/48 M10IIC Achilles it's really fantastic and modern (2014) , I have it on my shelf (in it's box) right now.
Can you please do more of these, please!
great video! although the poly cap thing got me kinda triggered you do know you can still glue it with the polycaps, right?
i suggest buy the late tiger 1/48 tamiya as it has seperate zimmetit
Ever thought about building a end times bombber plane or tank.
Like the Beatle, ?
what make of super glue are you using ??
I think is for you...you are very good...
Diecast hull does seem like a weird choice, is this kit meant to be more of a toy/wargaming piece than a model kit?
Michael Ormiston it's to give it some weight when or if you pick it up.
Jordan Hendy yea just I don’t tend to pickup model kits once they’re built. The only time I would touch one is to clean it
Tamiyas 1/48 vehicles are aimed at both, modellers and wargamers. But only the older (up to around number 60) have the diecast hull. The newer ones include metal weights that you can glue inside the plastic lower hull to give the extra weight. Or you can leave them away if you don't want/need that.
Yer boy.
Nooooooice
you should build the other gens of stug too
should i get the hetzer or this kit
i got the hetzer and it sucked bcs of the camo
What is die-cast?
The Plastic Viking it's a soft metal alloy used most commonly in things like hot wheels/matchbox cars, among other things
It's also a way of forming parts from metal.
what do I think ?....more painting vidoes
also, the mystery part is a smoke deployer
Of maybe an end times battle boat.
Disappointing to see that Tamiya are still doing the die cast hull “to add weight” 🙄. Seems more like a ruse to charge more for the final product.
This is why The germans made alot of these
thats a lot of hatch

Stug life
Good video but a really stupid name for the vlogger
Which vlogger? I don't see any vlogs.
