Five Rules of Gutman 100-Day Challenge:
1. Workouts: Engage in one 60-minute workout daily including active recovery (walking, swimming, jogging, light yoga)
2. Protein - Min 1 gram / kg / body weight
3. Fiber - Min 5 plant points ( any fruit, vegetables, nuts or seeds will be counted as 1 point)
4. Meditation - Min 10 min
5. No ultra-processed food

I’m 43 and trying my best for 1 year with controlled diet and exercise but my belly flab seems like I’m always wearing a cycle tube around me.
Can you please support your 5 rules with evidence. I don’t see your exercise program listing intensity, frequency and exercise testing. Please don’t publish your guidelines, ACSM has already published evidence based guidelines.

Dr.Pal you inspired me to reduce weight. I was over 128kgs unhappy and disappointed but i started slowly cutting carbs and exercising everyday, its been over 9months i lost 30kgs built more muscle due to 6day weight training. Its inspiring to see you chase goals at the 40 sir!
Consider not cutting the carbs, it's just not sustainable, you are guaranteed to hit a plateau, tried and tested this. Carbs that need eliminating are processed foods and sugar.

My mother has IBS, lactose, gluten intolerant. can rarely eat anything..pray her guts blesses her also !!
Hi i don't have much knowledge of the medical field but recently i watched a documentary on Netflix called " hack your health: the secret of your gut " , and there were people similar to what u said . Increasing slowly good bacteria in your gut might help with certain food intolerance. I almost know nothing but if you can, i might suggest you watch that one. U might get more clarity.
I have also same problem it can be managed now 70 percent is clear just eat fruits simple home made food avoid samosa chaumin noodles simply maida and dairy products milk but yogurt is good according to body

I am a nutritionist and dietitian and recently gave a session in a corporate office. I've given so many good meal plans thanks to you. I've also shared your reference so that more people get educated on the right foods to consume.
My kids, who once loved oreo biscuits, don't even look at it because they can hear your voice from the biscuit shelf 😅

I have been following a similar diet and routine for the last 2 years. I'm 31. Came down to 58kg with a chiseled torso from 76kg. The results are amazing.
As you mentioned, consistency and moderation matters a lot. My humble suggestion would be not to increase your cardio or other exercises.
What you are already doing is perfect. Instead of accelerating the results to fit in the 60 days deadline, Just do whatever you are doing, for 5 more months. Let your body settle in gradually. The results will be permanent. I overdid a bit in my journey and it affected my joints, muscle mass and even heart health.
A 45 mins walk or freestyle swimming along with 3 days per week of weight training (30min/day). A calorie deficit diet with not even a bit of compromise in nutrition. This is my ideal regime.
And in my experience, 1 cheat day per week or atleast a heavy cheat meal per week increases your overall maintenance calorie and fat burning capacity in the long run.
In this world inclined to body positivity and junk foods, we need more Doctors like you.

My mom and me have been indirectly following gut man challenge. Eating vegetables and fibers in a meal first helped us a lot to feel satiated and eat less carbs than before. We definitely follow all the points except meditation. We will add that too soon. I am also able to follow intermittent fasting successfully.
Watching your videos is our common hobby for me and my mother. And I cherish this time with her. Thanks Dr. Pal for all the information and motivation.
Well done doc. I understand the issues of building muscle mass at 40 all too well. Started working out with weights at 43 took me 4 months to see meaningful results, but at 6 months others start noticing.

I feel u r not working out smartly. First thing u dont need cardio at all, u r already skinny . U need high intensity exercises , reps till failure and do 1 set of each exercise only, your last rep should be failure, that is when muscle will grow if u push limits. Need minimum 3 days rest after exercise, dont do daily exercise. Daily exercise does not give time to recover. More than 1 set increases recovery time, thats why need to do only 1 set of each exercise and eat and rest well for minimum 2-3 days before doing exercise again.

Dr. Just decrease the carb intake and increase meat intake which will boost your metabolism and preserve muscle mass and burn fat on a deficit.
