a lot of people don't realize he was a jumpshot away from being the most complete player in the nba, he looked like a less athletic version of young lebron (basically lebron before he could shoot, like 2005 and earlier) and it's a shame seeing just what he's become. I thought he was gonna be the next magic johnson back in 2017, boy was I wrong.

I compare him to other guys of his draft class like jaylen brown, jamal murray, brandon ingram, pascal siakam, damantas sabonis and i wonder why he allowed these guys to top him. He was clearly the best in the draft. He ended up competing with donovan mitchell for roty. For a while he was good but he never really grew. Was it lack of proper development or just that he was happy being who he was.

If only Philly did not ostracize or condemned Simmons, they would have been a much better team now. Might even have won an ECF by now. The only time they came close to winning ECF was with Simmons, now it looks like they keep getting farther and farther from it.
