- I borrowed a Nikon z9 for the day and wow.. what a difference from shooting the DSLR. It would take some getting used to but the technology in the mirrorless camera is just out of this world.

Good stuff. I found the Z9 had me attempting shots and genres I may not have previously with other camera bodies and got me out of my comfort zone and excited to go out shooting new stuff. It is a worthwhile investment for that alone.
Very true Dave!! Its a beast of a camera .. maybe a little too much for me haha. Maybe if they came out with the baby z9. I may go for it. Such an amazing camera so I can only imagine how good the Sonys and Canons of the world are since they are a step ahead of Nikon. Thanks for watching
You got some great shots with the Z9 James. Hopefully Nikon release an APS-C version Z9 type camera in the future. And wow, that poop at the beginning! You can get 2 canon r6 bodies and a lens for the price of a z9 and the autofocus of the r6 blows all Nikons away.
Hey Dave so that's what I see. Its becoming a really high possibility that I switch systems at this point. Even the Z8 really doesn't come up to par with all the other top systems 😪
@@forced_perspective I shot nikon since the d50 came out, I still kept my d700 and the 24-70 2.8 and 80-200 2.8. Those I still use and will never get rid of.
I used a few of the nikon Z series mirrorless and was not impressed, heck sony had better autofocus 5 years ago compared to nikon.. The R7 came out and it was in my budget so I grabbed one to see and was blown away with the autofocus 9 out or 10 keeper rate on most things was unheard of for me in nikon world. I did not like the low light noise with the canon r7 so I switched to a R6 last july and liked it so much last saturday i picked up another R6 body... I do not need the extra features of the R6 MK II
have my af on button set to eye autofocus I go out say for animals a bird comes across the screen I hold the af on and it tracks the bird across the whole screen at either 12 fps mechanical or 20 fps in electronic..
