Been eyeing the heavy duty 4432 from Singer but when i saw the comparison video, i think iwill get this one. I’ve been at a store this afternoon too and they proposed this machine as well. I am now convinced. I’ll get this one tomorrow
Brought out in 2020 - It's a new machine and it's clearly designed with the modern sewer in mind - have a watch and let me know what you think. I definitely recommend this for a beginner
Just got mine yesterday, and tried it out for few hours. This is the first time I ever use sewing machine. I learned a lot watching a lot of videos before it came. Unfortunately it didn't come with paper user manual but I already got the pdf one.
I think the machine more than enough for home user, and the pedal is very good and responsive.
What a great machine with all those options for a GREAT price too. You really do not need more stitches than this machine offers. When I started sewing a bit over a year ago, I wanted a machine with many stitches, but I ended up not really using the decorative stitches at all. This machine would be wonderful for beginners and also for advanced sewing people :)
I totally agree!
Спасибо! Полезное видео! Хоть кто-то показал эту машинку! На Necchi очень мало обзоров!
I bought a necchi a while back without knowing about machines and I have no regrets
owned this machine for 8 months now and it performs flawlessly my only gripe is where the reverse lever is positioned, sorry might be just me i'me a lefty, but other than that it's brill. it seems to go through everything i put through it, well done Necchi a genuine quality machine.
All feedback is good feedback and Necchi are a friendly, listening company. I love my machine too 😊🪡💫
My husband has just bought me one of these for my Xmas present (early but need to make presents with). It is coming tomorrow so watching this to prepare myself. Really excited.
I spent about an hour thinking it was broken, had the stitch width on zero😊❤️
Haha. We’ve all been there 😊🫣😂
Joy of joy! I have just found your full review of this cracking machine! Many thanks.
No worries. Head over to fabric mouse and mention AbisDen to get 12% off this Xmas xxx
@@AbisDen Many thanks. I have just watched your patchwork cushion cover tutorial: I am very much a beginner (even though i'm middleaged!), but found your instructions easy to follow.
Yay. I hope you give it a go. Have fun!
It’s much better value than the singer though. £40 cheaper and you get the extension table. I’m impressed with what it can do. Great review Abi.
I never knew what the black button at the side of a foot was for! Love your videos x
I always wondered about that black button on the side of the presser foot I have seen on some machines. Mine doesn't have one as it automatically sets the foot according to the fabric I am using. Yes, it sounds posh but I spent years with a treadle Singer of my mothers and, as I have got older I have been able to gradually upgrade to my forever machine. It isn't the most expensive machine, I suppose middling, but it does what I want.
I watched this review and persuaded my husband to buy me one for my birthday! It’s arrived, but I have to wait a couple of weeks...so hard!! I was really pleased that you reviewed sewing both heavy material and very fine, that definitely swung it for me. I’ve now subscribed to your UA-cam channel and Instagram. Thank you!
Love watching you unboxing all the machines. Must say it’s so sad that Necchi along with others sold their brand name. I have an old Necchi Sylvia from the 70’s that is still a wonderful machine. I have switched over to Bernina ( 1980’s) that I love. I have newer machines like brother Jenome but in my opinion the quality isn’t there. Still love to see you unboxing xx
great, thanks for sharing, I bought one and a Necchi NL-11C also, yesterday, so it is so nice to get knowledge from expert 👍
Glad it was helpful! These newer Necchi machines are brilliant.
Thanks for the great video. I was seriously looking at the Singer 4432 but your videos have changed my mind towards the Necchi Q132
Having watched this review along with the brother machine I know which I'd choose. I hope folk from both these company's are watching to see what reviewers are finding with their products. Thanks Abi, enjoyed both.
I have been looking at a machine for sewing denim and pvc and oilcloth bags and think this would be perfect although started sewing classes and instructor suggested the lighter Nicchi as £100 cheaper but think this one best and will last. Thank-you gor such good and clear, reviews.
Thank you for your feedback x
@@AbisDen I got this machine but found out foot goes very fast and I thought it would go slower for more intricate pieces but does not, wee bit disappointed.x
In the USA there is a pretty significant difference in price - almost $170 between a Singer HD and this one. Less if you account for an included extension table. The K series from Necchi with a weaker motor is much cheaper - $180 or so. But I am tempted by this one - thank you for the review! One question - on Singer people complain that a soft start is very difficult to achieve and on some it is possible to adjust a potentiometer in the foot pedal. How sensitive is a foot pedal on this one - can you start off slowly? Thanks in advance!
Hi, thank you for that. I don't think there is much you can do to alter the potentiometer unless your'e an electrician, I'm not. I would say the machine has good overall speed control on this machine.
Many thanks for the review 👍🏻 I just bought this machine and it’s really helpful 🌹☺️
if you don't mind me asking what website did u buy it in? because the only one that comes up on my google is "Sew vac direct " is that where u got it from ?
It almost looks like the Butterfly JHQ6032A. That's my dream machine.
Hi Abi. Look's a great machine. And not much to go wrong with it. Great video as always.😊👍
Thanks you help more that the company videos! I had problems controlling the stitches and it was the top + and - left button to adjust for the thickness of the fabric. I couldn’t found in the manual. Thanks !
Lovely machine. Good and strong and looks really easy to use for a beginner or more experienced. It looks like it is built to last. Thanks for this review. I don't need another machine but, if anyone I know asks me, I can point them in the direction of your reviews.
What a fabulous machine, sounds great and just so fast. Great value too. x
I just got one for Christmas yesterday!!! I've only been hinting at wanting one ever since you 1st uploaded this video a few years ago!!! Took a lil while for it to ship over to Western NY, where we live. And WELL worth the wait! I LOVE it!!! And I would've never known about it - if it wasn't for you!!!! You have the BEST sewing advice!!!!! Thank you!!!!
Oh wow!!! That’s really amazing. I’m so pleased you’re happy. It is really an amazing machine. I can’t believe you managed to ship one across. Happy sewing Dani!! 😊 Enjoy
Beautiful!
Wow cool machine xx
Great balanced review. A true workhorse and given how well it worked with the leatherette would be interested if it would work well with quilting layers.
That looks a great option for bag making. I want to try it! I remember when you reviewed a different make of machine and the extension table did not git smoothly and there were gaps, this one looks to fit so snuggly.
You’d be welcome to try it !
When lockdown is over book me in xxxx
Thank you, I bought this!
Looks like a great machine!
Great review Abi, would love a new Necchi to match my ovelocker
Hi Abi, love my new Necchi, but still having issues with tension at times. I’m making a quilted mat for it, tension fine on practice fabric but when quilting, it’s off! Can you do a video on tension pleeease? Thank you 😊
👍🏽
Please can you compare the singer heavy duty 4432 vs the necchi q132a which is more heavy duty and give your more for your money? A video comparison would be great. Thank you
You are impressive
Nice 😎
Great machine! I look forward to your video about tension. Can you also talk about the little black knob on the presser foot? I am trying to figure out its purpose!
Great idea. Let’s do that !
So I finally bought this because I watched your video comparing it with the Singer HD & Brother HD. I initially was going for the Brother HD. So far, I like it. Questions for you or anyone who have this machine, what type of bobbins does it use? I can't find it anywhere in the manual. Can I use the Brother bobbins since I have a lot of those? They seem to be equal just the Brother is a tad bit thinner. The one that came with the Necchi is a little thicker. But I don't want to mess up the tension or whatever else if I start using the bobbins I have on hand. Thanks in advance.
Hi. Do you think this Necchi model is better than Janome Hd2200? Thanks.
It is identical to the singer heavy duty machines 😁
It is, isn't it? I have the 4432. which has 70W Power, this Necchi has 90W, and I can feel the difference!
@@AbisDen I use the singer HD6335 and this is pretty much the same machine, even down to the peddle and 90w motor.
Ooh. That’s really good to know. Thanks Karl
Have you tried the Necchi C35 creator series?
When backstitching is there an option to set the machine to just do one backstitch when using the pedal? Or one front stitch? Or are these options only available by manually rotating the handwheel? Often it's hard to get a perfectly aligned stitch if having to press the backstitch lever and rotate the handwheel at the same time, I prefer being able to hold onto the fabric.
How sensitive is the pedal? Does it take off at great speed or will I be able to do that one stitch easily with full control?
Thanks for a great channel!
Hi Abi, Another great review from you it's a nice machine for sure but I was wondering why do manufacturers not standardise on sewing machine motors I've seen some at 70 watts and must say this niche that you have reviewed for the sake of another 20-watt motor in Regards Robert the machine does seem to sound like it has some strength in it , Regards Robert
That really is an interesting question Robert, one worth investigating isn’t it?
@@AbisDen Yes I feel that it is, Because the little I know about domestic sewing machines, It's just that from the early days of hand-driven sewing machines our grandparents used when they first made a conversion from hand or foot driven to electric motor attachment, they were all the same capacity unless it was of an industrial type. It just seems right that all domestic sewing should be the same wattage. Kind regards Robert.
looks like the Singer HD
Yes but the performance is very different. The Necchi is a newer design than the original HD
Hi Abi, another great review so now I’m confused, really though I wanted the Necchi NC204D but this one seems solid! Checked on Amazon, they’ve got 2 exactly the same but at different prices. One is slightly heavier at 8.38kg but cheaper at £232.50, odd! 🤔
That’s very odd. I don’t think there are variations. It’ll be dealers not writing the proper information up. You could visit the Necchi website for the correct details x
Thank you for your reply Abi 😊 Yes I’ll check with Necchi 👍🏻
@@AbisDen i brought a sewing machine from their once, all the website was in italian, so was the instructions for the machine, a few other languages were available for the instructions, but not english ones, the plug was european, so you may need an adaptor also.
Greeting to You, l bought a sewing model Q132A, do you know how to oil this of machine? Thank You Then You reply.
Have a look in the manual but I’ll put a video out soon. This-is a popular question
Hello, i am interested in this machine (after seeing your comparison video of the hd sewing machines). It sounds very strong and robust. Would this machine handle taking up jeans, sewing through the seams of jeans (which has several layers) and repairing jeans which is something that i need to be to do on a machine?
hi , about the machine i want to make denim jeans with it what kind of cords i should be looking at , and can it handle it ? recommended needle would be great. or you think i should go with other machine?
When i emailed a company to ask if i could review one of their machines, they always say bloody noooooooo haha z
Have you tried shirring? What does the stitch length and tension have to be?
Thanks for this Abi! I bought the Q132a based on this review (and also figured out how to slow it down via the pedal electrical bits). Can I ask - what type of walking foot fits the necchi?
Glad I could help! You can visit Necchi.uk website for additional feet, there should be a number in the manual. ✨🌷🪡
@@AbisDen Ta Abi - they don't have any... but I've figured out that it's a short shank, so managed to get one that fits.
Brilliant
will the work with marine canvas ?
thanks ..
Hi, do you know if there is a bottom thread tension adjuster on this machine?
I just hate "plastic" bobbins. Does it take the same type bobbins in a metal type?
Yes it does, I bought metal ones on Etsy for it.
Abi, do you have experience with Husqvarna sewing machines ?
husquarna is part of the singer gruop, i had a husquarna emerald 116, the machine was not very good, also it vibrated alot when sewing with it!!!
Hi Abi, I have a silver machine which comes with and all purpose zig zag foot that looks very similar to the one on this machine. It is a T foot. Would you know a bigger brand name that also uses a T foot that I can search for to find a replacement? I’ve tried searching for a T foot or a Necchi ZigZag foot but not getting any luck.
Could you message an image on Instagram ? Thanks Mitchell
Hi Abi. Is there any way to make the needle stop in the down position when you finish sewing on this machine? It's a great machine but it puts me off using it for this reason. TIA 👍
Mechanical machines don’t do this, a digital, computerised machine can only do that. The problem with that is, no digital machine is robust as this machine, unless you start to spend serious money on the Juki HZL machines which have been the only computer machines I’ve ever considered worth buying
Ah really, thanks for replying and clearing that up for me Abi 👍. I just need to use it more then and train my brain 😆
Ciao.. Vendi macchine per cucire?
Hi. Do you think this machine would be able to cope with making rope bowls? Thank you
I would say it could, but it depends on the thickness and density of rope. I would pick up a vintage machine from a marketplace ( eBay, gumtree, Facebook). You’ll get a machine that’s far superior to many modern HD machines and at a fraction of the price.
@@AbisDen thanks for your help
Did you find it noisier than other machines. I am in an appartment.
No, in fact because it’s smoother, it is quieter and definitely make a mat to help absorb the vibration and noise against the table. I’ve made a few mat videos to help you x
@@AbisDen Thankyou Abi.
Nice machine, but it can't beat the bestselling Singer 4452 Heavy Duty that's currently around US$220.00.
Sewing at 1,100 stitches per minute, the 4452 has 32 stitches with 110 stitch functions, 8 one-step buttonholes and many more premium features. A matching 2/3/4-thread Singer Heavy Duty serger that sews at 1,300 spm is also available for around US$279.00.
Haha. Is this an advert? I have the 4432 and ran it for years. The Necchi stands above the Singer easy ☺️ you can watch the comparison video here… Comparing The Very Best Affordable Heavy Duty Machines - November 2020 #sewwithabi #abisden

@@AbisDen Get real. Premium Necchi is history. Now they make US$150.00 junk sewing machines badged and sold by Aldi, a super-discount grocery chain!
Does it have an overlocking stitch?
Look for overcasting stitches in the website but yes. It does
Did you ever record a video about tention?
Not for this machine x
@@AbisDen I sew thick velvet fabric and my upper thread gets tangled under the fabric(where the lower thread is) I don’t know what to do, please help me I sew for a living
A walking foot would be best for velvet
Great video. I think I am sold on this model. Does it have the built in thread cutter....that with a press of a button it cuts it?
Thank you. The thread cutter isn’t automatic on this machine. Just a regular knife that sides on the side of the bulb cover. 🌷🪡
Sra. Haga un video en español por favor
this machine is out of stock apparently
