Is there remote access? for example, I left and control the siren outside the house?

Can this unit be used instead of a smoke detector? I know heat alarms exists, and if the temperature in the room rises above 54 degrees Celcius the alarm goes off,. This is handy because smoke alarms in the kitchen often get triggered by cooking etc.
