I love ur way of speaking.. I do respect ur innocence. Sir....now I love to follow whatever u said... My heart wants to follow ur rules as a disciple.. in the world full of distractions I found u as my saviour ..bless us...
Though I am a Hindu by birth but I am a Buddhist by heart and nature. Lord Buddha's continence fascinates me. Recently visited Mcleodganj, the aura of His Holiness Dalai Lama's Temple is still fresh in my mind. I love watching all these videos. Great.
One thing I have to say that i never seen you guys like that because u have 0 % arrogance and u r giving ur knowledge without any selfishness Thank you so much
Hello , I have an illness since I were born . I met alot of doctors but it's not gone away. Doctors said I have nothing wrong with my body . I did x ray ... etc a lot of that. It's 16 years today. and I come here for self healing. I hope I can see the light after I broke my self in many pieces. thanks you !
Dont know that god will or will not bless you but if you work for your self than you will surely emancipate from your misery and will experience the eternal bliss.
Might be useful for whoever can accept it. Leave the thought about self centered; What's wrong with my illness or body, why I'm not healed? Why none doctor could cure me? Are they stupid doctors? It can folow building anger in your mind where those negative thoughts effect to your body cells which produce consequently worsen and slow down your healing. Instead .... Develop positive thoughts such as loving kindness compasion to everyone. It sound naive but when you are sick and could still care others by praying for who have suffering / illness, hopefully they could get happiness / healing. Your postive thoughts Automatically produce good cells in your body.
Thank you mingyur rinpoche for all shares, very difficult to change habits because we also have the bad habit of try changing what we want as fast as possible.
I like this guy. And his way of speaking. and his simple but effective analogies. Ans his humorous way of explanation. A true Buddhist Master you can learn from.
Wow that example with the Paper is an absolutely spot on example for me when I first started No-fap, I tried so many times and failed as many times, but now after 2 years of constantly trying, my metaphorical paper is straighter than it has ever been
The paper analogy was on point.. because it folded back at the last second. Dont power through your bad habits. its a losing battle. Try to change your enviroment to make those habits less appealing. Other strategy is to replace those bad habits with good or (temporally) less damaging ones.
Haha the paper eg was so great, I understand it in sec, it's really hard to change the habits but he gives best way to break it. I love his ways of explaining 👏
well, when a habit becomes addiction, thats when this doesnt work. I love this example by the way and your videos have soo much value. Thanks for sharing.
I recovered from 7 years of drug addiction. Now I’m trying to break the habit of smoking cigarettes, I have 4 left, after that I will try and quit. I might fail, but I’ll try again, until I stop. So as I did with drugs.
Master Rinpoche, I too have been a book reader.. and I never watched television.. so.. a book a day was my habit most of my life.. 5 books going all the Time.. the internet came along, at first it was just universities and text only.. access to all the libraries in the World.. far out man.. Smartphone technology brings the internet to every person on Earth.. it's the greatest combination since cans and soup... it's mostly free information.. all those books.. science in actual science papers.. I have been sick for 23 years in bed.. I read.. and look for new information.. because that's what makes me happy... television teaches people to be passive observers.. shut the mind off in favor of someone else's thoughts and ideas.. it's definitely habit forming.. much more than anything else in our society.. it's global.. it's not accurate information.. but if you have no other information.. how can we know?.. and.. you know.. all the kids are doing it, right?.. must be OK.. at least with a smartphone you request the information you receive.. random thoughts 🤔.. thanks for yet another great teaching video.. and this opportunity to say.. turn off your television.. please.. you will be glad you did 🙏Namaste ✌
Ohh, Now i got why i can't continue anything for long.. I just used to do the the same thing all the time. I put all my effort in the begining and after sometime started feeling exhaust and then end up leaving that work at all.
Most important is patience and non-judgement. When you are lost in judgement, you are not thinking of how to improve. Instead you are lead into avoidance of problems.
Maimonidies wrote that to change a habit you have to do more than just "straighten the paper"; you need to bend it in the opposite direction for a period of 40 days. if you think about it, if Mingyur would have rolled the paper in the opposite direction, it would have straightened completely, and even been able to become fixed in the opposite direction...(Maimonidies' example isn't with paper, it's with a young tree which is still flexible)
I love ur way of speaking.. I do respect ur innocence. Sir....now I love to follow whatever u said... My heart wants to follow ur rules as a disciple.. in the world full of distractions I found u as my saviour ..bless us...
sonam sharma "ATHTHAAHI ATHTHANO NATHO KOHI NAATHO PAROSIYAA" so you should follow buddha's teachings and you will be your own saviour.

Determination and patience are 🔑 to kicking habits. The more entrenched the habit, the greater the determination and patience should be.👍🏻

BreakFree Addiction it does work, just takes more patience ;)
Yes it does, just need to accept the addiction, observe it, let it go, be, and repeat.
You have eyes, but you did not watch dear. Try again and again and again.
I recovered from 7 years of drug addiction. Now I’m trying to break the habit of smoking cigarettes, I have 4 left, after that I will try and quit. I might fail, but I’ll try again, until I stop. So as I did with drugs.
