great vid Ned, I got stopped by the police at Birkenhead after picking up. Load wasn't strapped so obviously fixed that before i left, Scanned my digital card and everything was fine. Held my breath for that. seemed alright coppers but the next truck was impounded for no straps on load of crisps.all internals was trapped at front end, driver fined £100.
I don't understand what the problem was in the beginning about the walk around and documents. You had the print-out of your card and gave your drivers license.

When we backload from the brickworks to seatruck for Ireland we have to park on the bay and when we’ve straped all pallets and cross straped the back two pallets they come and sign the load of only then can we drive out the fkn place 27 tones of shrink wrapped palleted bricks if we got pulled by VOSA and it’s not done that way it’s big fines
Bloody hell ned, that must of been close with a 40 ton tractor unit? I used to do bricks out of Ibstock with a curtain sider and the older drivers always said to start the bricks about 4 to 5 meters from the head board because a full load would stop by the time they just past the first trailer axle and put to much weight on the tractor! Your correct about the strapping, I’d only strap the first 2 packs over the top and then down the front to try and stop them sliding, saying that if 28 ton wants to move a couple of 5 ton straps won’t be stopping it..

Love your vids Ned, I'm a city centre cyclist. Cyclists in Dublin are, hands down, the most dangerous entity on our roads. I'm a cyclist and I'm saying that. Clowns, 90% of them. No lights, cycling wearing all black in the dark with no lights. Traffic lights? I get tutted by other cyclists for stopping at traffic lights. Drives me mad (excuse the pun). Just wanted to say though at 11:25 in your vid you mention to the Guard that cyclists don't use the cycle lane on Davitt Road along the canal. You are correct, they don't. However, people are regularly attacked by the local children who hang around there and there have been a recent spate of attacks in the morning and evenings. I think cyclists would rather take their chances wrecking your head cycling up the inside of you! Anyway, keep filming and calling out all the dopes on their bikes in this town. If I see you I'll give you a wave from the cycle lane - I'll be the cyclist festooned in lights wearing the massive hi-vis!

The guard came on a bit strong at the start but he ended up being sound & genuinely cared about yourself which is nice to see. Great video as always Ned. As for the construction worker. Don't know why people get so aggressive so quickly. It could've just been sorted with him saying "let me get the site supervisor" rather than coming at you so hostile. Ah well. I used to carry out of Ibstock Leicester where the bricks came from, they check the load before you leave and won’t give you your paperwork until you have strapped every pack up sadly, we used to have to sheet them aswell

I don't understand why the man at the gate was getting so much hate. You pulled up with a 45' wagon and blocked off the whole site. You rocked up as if you were the only man there with a job to get done. Then the demands for the road closure instead of respecting the rules by the site and being a little bit civil with the people who work there and asking them to spot you reversing.

Your absolutely right about the bikes, I have a few fast narrow roads near me and they don't give a shit about t a long queue behind when there's a perfect cycle lane right next to them.
Cycle lanes are often difficult/ unsuitable for cycling in for many reasons. Until there is proper cycling infrastructure you cannot blame cyclists for this.
