The iPad comes at around $600 or $500 if fully kitted out, with the Logitech Keyboard case and the Pencil + A normal case and a screen protector to go with it, very expensive stuff, that's why i'm either switching to one of the Samsung Note series or i get this iPad then wait a few months to earn up for the Pencil, because it's very expensive.

An iPad Pro vs iPad 2018 review is what I actually looked for, and I'm glad that there's a lot of them. I came here expecting that the budget version definitely won't be as good as the Pro, but I wanted to know if it's good enough for my needs and save me half the money I could spend if I buy the Pro which has power that I might not even be able to maximize. So far most of the comparison reviews I've seen says the differences are manageable considering the price difference, so thanks to these reviews I decided I'd settle for the cheaper version for now -- have money saved for other needs and still get work done on an iPad.

Why is it such a problem it costs $300, I use this same tablet everyday for recording guitar and drums etc, and In all honesty it works amazing, I have a friend with a tab s4 and we did a few benchmarks and my $300 iPad beat it in mostly everything except multi core (but that was a 100 score difference) and the s4 is around $700. Sure the cameras aren’t the best but not many people would record with a iPad. Also the pencil works great with drawing and taking notes, and the speakers despite not being a quad design sound really good the bass is great and it gets pretty loud. So if your looking for a cheaper iPad go with the 6th gen it works great. But some people like Austin dock it for its low price tag because they get thousands of dollars off UA-cam and just be snobs about it.
It’s not that big of a deal, He gets payed a lot on UA-cam. I agree with you, he’s being a snob about it and so will anybody else who is rich and has the iPad Pro. He constantly complaints about the iPad not being enough. Personally, I have the iPad and it’s awesome.

It’s worth it! I bought a new one in September 2018 and it was on iOS 11.4 :) now I’m on 13.3.1 and for 1.5 years I didn’t notice any problems with it. It’s definitely worth its price

This was actually one of the best iPads for the price. I have the pro but bought this one for someone and this model has a very good price and a pretty decent iPad. Yeah, the screen looks sunken in but that really isn’t much of an issue when you consider how expensive the pros are getting.
Terrible example but yes this thing isn't going to beat Chromebooks anytime soon: 1) it's a lot more expensive than a regular Chromebook; 2) typing on a touch screen is nowhere near as good as having a real keyboard, while if you want to buy the keyboard case, it becomes crazy expensive. 3) The G Suite is much more practical and seamless.

Wow, the lengths you're going to just to bash Apple. Literally any device with any port on it is advertising the same thing. And if you want to bring up proprietary, there are still many example of that. Microsoft with it's support for the Surface dial and pen come to mind, as does Thunderbolt. They're all fantastic features, even though you need to buy other things to make them work. Terrible argument.
We use iPads like these at work, I’m using one right now to type this comment. From a work perspective this iPad is perfect. We use it for accounting, ordering, invoicing, reading emails and everyday tasks. You can’t compare it to the $1000 iPad because these are two different products aimed at very different people for different applications. A tablet is a must in our office/workplace because we stand so much and move around a lot. Spending an extra $600-$700 per unit would be foolish considering we don’t play games and we don’t use it for things like photoshop or anything like that. This product isn’t just aimed at schools, there’s millions of people around the world who could stand to benefit and use this product, I’d say it’s more of a Surface competitor than a Chromebook one.

Got this one for $225 right as the 7th Gen 2019 iPad is about to be announced for $330. Even after adding a Smart Cover, Apple Pencil, and Apple Pencil Case, my total bundle came to only $395, just $65 more than the upcoming 2019 9.7" iPad on its own, $5 less than an iPad Mini 5 on its own, and $105 less than an iPad Air 3 on its own. This has been a fantastic upgrade from my slow-as-molasses 2012 iPad 3 (which with a leather smart cover came to $670 back then)
I love the 2018 ipad! The ipad air 2 had everything I needed except for apple pencil support, and I couldn’t afford an ipad pro, and then they released this! So I am very happy
My school got ipads when the air first came out. It did not work well. For teachers, the iPad would randomly disconnect from the apple tv. For students, it was really annoying to take notes if you like to rest your hand on the screen while writing. Overall, no matter how many restrictions were put on the iPad, my friends and other students were given an easy way to play games in class.

i upgraded to the 5th gen ipad back in 2017 from a ipad mini. should have gotten a bigger storage but 32gb is fine since i have a iphone 11 128gb. loving the 5th gen. great battery life overall! its perfect for facetiming,watching video content.

Mhel Mabayo If you buy the right Android tablet, it will run smooth too. The Teclast Master T10 for example has a large QHD screen, stereo speakers, 3gb RAM, stock Android and a very decent chipset for just 200$. Even the Huawei mediapad M5 is pretty great. Unfortunately Android sucks on tablets and manufacturers don't understand what most people want tablets for. Tablets are mainly used for media consumption, but some manufacturers think putting terrible displays, speakers and chipsets into them will suddenly make them amazing.
No, I would not buy Android tablets. They don’t get good OS support stopping updates a year after release, most of them aren’t that well optimised for software and have very few third party devs and manufacturers. Android phones are fine but tablets are pretty bad.
Ozillion High end Android tablets can get like a year or 2 of updates, but cheap ones sometimes don't even get a single updates. Lenovo seems to ignore updates on their tablets entirely. At this point the "cheap Chinese brands" have a better track record than the large multinationals. But Android isn't really optimised for tablets in the first place. iOS has features like the dock and split screen on the iPad, which differentiates them from iPhones. Android is just the exact same. Split screen and pip are cool, but why bother if you already have them on your phone.

Me too, bro! Mine is a one year old great battery, but with iOS11 Apple throttled it pretty bad, so it's buggy and laggy, but when I flush it as brand new, it works fine. The thing is I need it for working on stage and I can't rely on a piece of tech that sometimes can't open iBooks, or doesn't rotate screen(WTF?). Apple reliability is pretty bad these days, I'm not sure if it's because it's an older tech(2013).. I'm thinking of getting 2017/2018 iPad, good value , 2/3 generations newer chip, let's hope it has better sustenance cause there are no better android tablets.

I'm using an iPad pro 9.7. I use it daily...... But here's the thing, I love it, but can't say it was worth the costs...... Google has done a far better job of positioning Chromebooks as need items than Apple has done with the iPad. I always find it funny when I hear people say that they NEED an iPad, and then go on to describe things that can be easily accomplished with a Chromebook....more effiently and at a fraction of the price. iPads are still WANT items by far.... Google also guarantees 7 years software support on its Chromebooks. Apple does not do the same for its iPad.

I don't recommend iPad 6th Generation. We just experienced problem with ours. We bought it in Sep 2018 and it appears a Power on problem just after one year. Once the screen is locked, the screen will remain dark and won't get screen on even though we know it has 100% battery. We tried the recommendations online (Pressed home and power together etc.) and it doesn't work. Yesterday we brought it to an Apple store, and the representative did a full resetting to my iPad 6th Generation and it still not working. So they said I have to pay $329+Tax for repair as it seems a hardware problem. And they also said we should have purchased $79+Tax extension warranty at the time we purchased it. Since it has past one year, that's the repair fee we need to pay. We are very disappointed with this iPad 6 Generation's quality and we believe there must be some problem with this device's quality. We have iPad 4th Generation, iPhone 4, iPhone 5, iPhone 6, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone 11 at home, and among all of them, this iPad 6th Generation is the WORST! IT'S NOT WORTH IT, DON'T BUY!

Got this one for $225 right as the 7th Gen 2019 iPad is about to be announced for $330. Even after adding a Smart Cover, Apple Pencil, and Apple Pencil Case, my total bundle came to only $395, just $65 more than the upcoming 2019 9.7" iPad on its own, $5 less than an iPad Mini 5 on its own, and $105 less than an iPad Air 3 on its own.
This has been a fantastic upgrade from my slow-as-molasses 2012 iPad 3 (which with a leather smart cover came to $670 back then)

I love the 2018 ipad! The ipad air 2 had everything I needed except for apple pencil support, and I couldn’t afford an ipad pro, and then they released this! So I am very happy
My school got ipads when the air first came out. It did not work well. For teachers, the iPad would randomly disconnect from the apple tv. For students, it was really annoying to take notes if you like to rest your hand on the screen while writing. Overall, no matter how many restrictions were put on the iPad, my friends and other students were given an easy way to play games in class.

i upgraded to the 5th gen ipad back in 2017 from a ipad mini. should have gotten a bigger storage but 32gb is fine since i have a iphone 11 128gb. loving the 5th gen. great battery life overall! its perfect for facetiming,watching video content.

If you buy the right Android tablet, it will run smooth too. The Teclast Master T10 for example has a large QHD screen, stereo speakers, 3gb RAM, stock Android and a very decent chipset for just 200$. Even the Huawei mediapad M5 is pretty great. Unfortunately Android sucks on tablets and manufacturers don't understand what most people want tablets for. Tablets are mainly used for media consumption, but some manufacturers think putting terrible displays, speakers and chipsets into them will suddenly make them amazing.
No, I would not buy Android tablets. They don’t get good OS support stopping updates a year after release, most of them aren’t that well optimised for software and have very few third party devs and manufacturers. Android phones are fine but tablets are pretty bad.
Also android companies have stopped making purebred tablets and are giving into the shitty 2 in 1 trend.

High end Android tablets can get like a year or 2 of updates, but cheap ones sometimes don't even get a single updates. Lenovo seems to ignore updates on their tablets entirely. At this point the "cheap Chinese brands" have a better track record than the large multinationals.
But Android isn't really optimised for tablets in the first place. iOS has features like the dock and split screen on the iPad, which differentiates them from iPhones. Android is just the exact same. Split screen and pip are cool, but why bother if you already have them on your phone.

Me too, bro! Mine is a one year old great battery, but with iOS11 Apple throttled it pretty bad, so it's buggy and laggy, but when I flush it as brand new, it works fine. The thing is I need it for working on stage and I can't rely on a piece of tech that sometimes can't open iBooks, or doesn't rotate screen(WTF?). Apple reliability is pretty bad these days, I'm not sure if it's because it's an older tech(2013).. I'm thinking of getting 2017/2018 iPad, good value , 2/3 generations newer chip, let's hope it has better sustenance cause there are no better android tablets.

I'm using an iPad pro 9.7. I use it daily...... But here's the thing, I love it, but can't say it was worth the costs...... Google has done a far better job of positioning Chromebooks as need items than Apple has done with the iPad. I always find it funny when I hear people say that they NEED an iPad, and then go on to describe things that can be easily accomplished with a Chromebook....more effiently and at a fraction of the price. iPads are still WANT items by far.... Google also guarantees 7 years software support on its Chromebooks. Apple does not do the same for its iPad.

I don't recommend iPad 6th Generation. We just experienced problem with ours. We bought it in Sep 2018 and it appears a Power on problem just after one year. Once the screen is locked, the screen will remain dark and won't get screen on even though we know it has 100% battery. We tried the recommendations online (Pressed home and power together etc.) and it doesn't work. Yesterday we brought it to an Apple store, and the representative did a full resetting to my iPad 6th Generation and it still not working. So they said I have to pay $329+Tax for repair as it seems a hardware problem. And they also said we should have purchased $79+Tax extension warranty at the time we purchased it. Since it has past one year, that's the repair fee we need to pay. We are very disappointed with this iPad 6 Generation's quality and we believe there must be some problem with this device's quality. We have iPad 4th Generation, iPhone 4, iPhone 5, iPhone 6, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone 11 at home, and among all of them, this iPad 6th Generation is the WORST! IT'S NOT WORTH IT, DON'T BUY!
