FLY FISHING FOR BROWN TROUT, BROOK TROUT, and RAINBOW TROUT in NEVADA AND CALIFORNIA!
In this video Andrew goes trout fishing in California and Nevada. In California he caught some really nice wild brown trout, which was an unexpected treat considering he had never fished this particular river before. Nevada was a little more difficult, but he was still able to catch some awesome brook and rainbow trout in a tiny little creek!
If you enjoyed this video let us know and we’ll be sure to give Nevada and California another shot here soon! Thanks for watching.

Pretty crazy how that restored river habitat really works and can help fix mining destroyed rivers. People need to support removing dams and fixing river water quality.
And where would clean energy come from? Don't believe CalTrouts hype. They need problems to exist and gather donations
I agree with those people below, that's a black-crowned night heron. Excellent!
I've had a ball several times fishing on the Truckee and Walker Rivers. I usually get out there every other year or so
Excellent video Andrew. What beautiful fish. I think one of the most enjoyable things about trout fishing is exploring new water. There's something about fishing a new stream and seeing what's around the next bend and what might be swimming there. Keep up the good work.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video
Awesome 21" Brown trout John on the second morning and the second brown you caught was definitely bigger. That one looked more like 24". I'm glad Nevada was good to you in the smaller creek and you landed some very beautiful fish and always tight lines.
Absolutely gorgeous "Roo." You have blessed so many with your western trout adventures. Keep it going.
This place looks great the landscape and different trout and catching big fish # awesome but I have to keep a few 😊
California known for its native trout. Also, along with its native trout, the harbor has some rainbow trout. The rainbow trout is native to California.
Nice vid, I live in Colorado and today I caught my first ever brook trout! Along with 6 other trout! Love your vids, I am always happy when u post!
Congrats!! And thanks for watching!
@@hardmanfishing Thank you! And you’re welcome! Tight lines🤙🐳🐠🐟🎣🎣🎣🔥
aye NICE! I was wondering when you would go back, i want to go fly fish there so bad! awsome vid, youre an amazing youtuber
Thank you!! Glad you enjoyed it
Super stuff. Big Brownies!! Some lovely colouration on those broookies and rainbows. Thanks for letting us in on your latest adventure 🎣
Dream land. Now that's a quality time out there bro!
Some great fish from that bigger California river. The second small stream was more like your usual fishing places and much nicer scenery.
Great fish my man! Keep up the great work.
Truly beautiful browns!
Looking at the river and the size of the browns, I'm guessing you were somewhere around Bridgeport fishing the Walker? The bird was a Night Heron, if no one has already commented.
Amazing 😮
thanks for posting perfectly enjoyable!
Alway a treat to see Andrew, great job bois!!
Thank you!
Oh my those fish are tanks !
Wow…beautiful Brookies! Congrats! Great video!
That creek is very fun to fish 🎣
Awesome video! And great fish, congratulations. Keep up the good work!
Great job Andrew!!!!

Thanks for entertaining me tonight Andrew

Black-Crowned Night Heron. Nice shot of it in full color.
I knew someone would appreciate that!
Enjoyed 👍👍
Great 👍
Very nice brownie, Edward, @4:30
What a awesome video well done some really nice fish
Thank you!
Great time beautiful trout
Dang...some impressive browns!!
I love your videos so much. I live in WV as well. I am getting my first fly rod tomorrow. I love this channel.
That’s awesome!! I wish you the best of luck
Beautiful.
Small stream, big surprise !
Amazing catches dude. WHERE WERE YOU FISHING AT? I only catch browns in Utah.
Night Heron is the bird you came across
no, it was a dog!!
What euro nymphing line do you guys use. I need to get some new stuff because my rip fipps line coating is chipping off with only a few months of use
Black crowned night Herron, I think.
Hi-
What was your setup when catching those brownies? Looked like you were using some kind of streamer with a sinking line?
What weight rod were you using? Feel like that big brown he handled in the second clip was getting tossed around effortlessly haha
That tan one an elk hair caddis? I once caught 15 in two hours using that.
Awesome video, you guys think trout routes is worth it when you’re not familiar with an area?
That's when I use it the most! It's become something I use quite a bit now when I visit other states
Love the video, but you need to indicate what river/stream/bait to generate more excitement to fish.
Seemed like you were selling "trout route".
Been to all those creeks and rivers near reno
which ones???
@BLASTRONOID it's called, research!!! Don't be lazy and go explore!
That's a night heron
Crazy seeing them do a video on my home waters.
Seriously did you just throw that swivel and that little bit of line back in the creek. Is that how you roll?
Are you crazy 😂 why would you think I would do that??
Because that's the way it looks . Look at the video. Missed opportunity on letting people know you stuck it in your pocket.
@@greggarramone5344he clearly didn't throw it back into the river
Had no idea Brookies got that far west.
They’re everywhere 😂
Walker river and tributaries
Where is this creek?!? I live in Reno
Truckee River?
Not quite. Like you I am pretty sure it is in that area. But the size is way too small. I am not gonna spill the beans on what I think the location is even though I do think it is one of the more popular fisheries in the area
That a wooly bugger?
I agree with everyone,where were you,what bait/fly/jig?
EFCR
I've been fly fishing for 25 years n I'm STILL amazed how fishermen WON'T reveal where they're at!?
This could be several places but hard to be sure, Most stretches of the Truckee are "noisy" this doesn't seem to be Truckee, Bridgeport is not "near" Reno??
Good fish though..
Just post the location for God's sake!!
You’re mad suspect
Is it an East coast thing or .... why do some of you guys yard so damn hard and send these fish sending them flying this way and that?!?!
Dang... oh...and stop "dry handing" these fish...wet your hands BEFORE grabbing them... their slime is their protection layer from microbes, bacteria and the like...
In England we use pounds weighing a fish not inches. is that how you weigh your fish up in the USA by inches..🤔 "it's new to me"
Yep usually! I’ve never heard of anyone weighing a trout unless it’s 20 pounds or something crazy 😂
I 'd like to fish there, but with my luck, I'd go missing, only to be found by a hiker, with my half-eaten corpse being guarded by a rather large native feline.
That's hilariously specific LOL
@@hardmanfishingYou're a hard man to please!😮
WET YOUR HANDS before handling any trout if u intend to release it!
Please get it right. It's Nevada not Nevahda. Get it right and you can keep fishing in our waters. Thanks for the entertainment boys. Great video
Well I got it right in the intro but we learned of the correct pronunciation only after visiting the state 😂 thanks for watching!
@@hardmanfishing Yes, I noticed that. I just had to break your balls. A little bit. Do you wanna give up your source? And let me know where you were fishing. I do a lot of flight fishing around here. And the geography looked a little familiar, butt wasn't quite sure
@@douglascook1870why would he do that after you tried breaking his balls lol
