I got emotional over the professors all showing up to help. Reminded me of the end battle of Hogwarts in Deathly Hallows 2. I’m no where near the end of the game but I’m obsessed with it!
My first run was Hufflepuff on Hard, which has been my 100% for the platinum (almost there, 93%!), but I also then started a secondary Slytherin playthrough to choose all the different dialogue options I didn't do the first time. I was very nice on my Hufflepuff, never asked for money and always returned items for free in quests, but I look forward to hearing all the different conversation paths this time by choosing the slightly less super-friendly options. Plus, I will actually use the Unforgivable Curses this time, putting Talent Points into them and playing around with them in combat. My Hufflepuff never touched any of them. (I'm still not turning Sebastian in though, because he's my boy.)
This game was incredible. Absolutely incredible. I felt every single emotion i had hoped to feel, most importantly, it reminded me of my childhood. Growing up loving the wizarding world, this game quite often didn’t even feel like a game, it felt like the movies.
You summed up my sentiments exactly. One of the fondest and most vivid memories of my childhood is watching the first movie, completely enchanted by every single passing second. I relived all of those feelings just as intensely throughout this entire walkthrough. It's truly been a gift.
What a series. The love you have for the HP world was on display through each episode. The happy, the sad, the silly...the spiders! you went through it all and brought us along for the ride and unlike any of the other streamers I watched of this game yours was by far the most passionate. Great series and thanks for bringing us along for the ride.
The reason Avada Kedavra doesn’t work against Ranrok is because the power he’s feeding off contains the emotions of others-that includes love. In the last memory of the keepers you see her father void of _all_ emotion. The only defence against Avada Kedavra is-as we know-true love, just how Harry’s mother saved him as a baby from Voldemort. It might not be Ranrok’s love but that of others stopping the killing curse having any effect during that final battle.
@@akioeq I mean I don’t think they give us any specifics but considering she took the emotions of a lot of her students and her father, it could be anything. She said her father was almost void after losing his son (her brother), as if he was blaming himself, to some extent. You could argue even that could be contributory to answering your question. Her father clearly loved his son immensely, was completely broken and lost without him, he’d clearly switch places etc. That could constitute sacrificial love deep within him. Likewise, we don’t know any of the other individual backstories behind those she stole of emotion. I didn’t write the storyline, unfortunately 😊, so I can’t answer that definitively, nor really my original comment. However, seeing as this is the only time when you can’t use Avada Kedavra against a boss in the game, and given the only defence against that curse is ‘sacrificial love’, it begs the question as to whether the developers intentionally kept true to the facts of the curse and prevented your character from using it, for that exact reason. They don’t stop it anywhere else, so it seems reasonable to assume that’s why they did it. The emotions of many, it’s plausible that at least some of those individuals will have the emotional strength of profound sacrificial love, to do what Harry’s mother did, somewhere within them. I still think this is the best explanation for not being able to use the curse in this moment of the game, my guess is the ins and outs are for the player to fill in how they see fit. But, in order to sacrifice yourself because of true love, you need emotion-so that’s a part of it. Ranrok was sourcing his power from the emotions of others. Love is the most powerful of all magic, but he also had the pain, hurt and anger mixed in there, too. That likely explains why he transformed the way he did, also.
I don't know, the moment Sebastian's uncle basically let loose all those inferi, free to attack two students, and then started attacking, not the inferi, but said students, he made his intent pretty clear. At that point it was absolutely self defence. The only argument I can think of would be that Sebastian could've just incapacitated him. Then again his uncle had been so antagonistic that he seemed pretty determined to eliminate Sebastian, not to mention the innocent bystander/student lol. Thing is, the use of an unforgivable curse guarantees lifelong imprisonment in Azkaban. In real life, self-defence at least lessens the penalty. Whereas in Harry potter when such magic is used, there's no middle ground. Also in-game, based on the consequences, turning Sebastian in is objectively worse. Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed the playthrough. I used to be such a big fan of Harry Potter and your enthusiasm, not to mention lore knowledge, made this experience an absolute blast! Thank you!
Trev I really dont know what to look forward to anymore now that you've ended the playthrough. I was waiting the whole day for this notification. I love you man. I dont really have time to play the game during week days. But hearing your engaging narration and seeing your gameplay has kept me hooked the past week. Keep going bro
i’ve played through this two times and watched two youtube playthroughs (including yours) and the scene near the end with the professors has made me cry all four times .. like come on do you see how fkn cool that is
we need a second play through without any unforgivable curses and you can explore the other side quests along the way so its not just a full episode of just side quests for the remainder of the game.
This was one game that I was not excited about, but watching your series I quickly became hooked on to it. I've never been so eager to know how the story progresses. The final quest of decimating Ranrok was spectacular, one of the best moments to be honest. Wish to play it someday.
Unbelievable series. This game is everything I could've hoped and more, well done devs!!! The deathly hallows mission was epic. And I seriously almost cried when Sebastian killed his Uncle. He had such a good heart, that's the definition of 'seduced by the Dark Arts.' This game really does an amazing job drawing you in. Animation, game mechanics, and especially story are all ON POINT!! Trev, if you make another series as a different house and beat it without any unforgivables, I will 100% watch this story again. Maybe get more into potions and plants. I'm curious whether the story changes at all if you stay on the straight and narrow. Either way, thanks for putting so much time into this. This wouldn't have been nearly as enjoyable without your knowledge of the lore.
I know very little about the wizarding world or Harry Potter. Never seen the movies or read the books. But this game has been amazing. I'm all for you posting videos of you doing the rest of the side missions, finding everything, however far you want to take it, even to 100%. This series has been that good. Your emotions throughout have made it even better, too.
who else noticed that there was a how to train your dragon music playing while riding the graphorn? As someone who finished the main story - the moment of all teachers coming to help was amazing. I had chills and tears in my eyes
I've learned all the unforgivable spells but don't use them at all, so the final fight with Rookwood took me FOREVER haha. Watching you do it in just a few mins because of those spells was like WHAT hahaha
Please do the remaining side quests. I loved watching this series because I am too a Harry Potter fan. This was amazing! It really seemed that this was all a movie. Great job!

Honestly, Trev, if you choose to share your game play with completing the challenges or on your next playthrough, it will be great. Even if some of the stuff will be long and repetitive, I personally would love to watch. 🔥This series was so good!
I felt so bad when you turned Sebastian in. I also think killing his uncle was messed up but he's really grown on me and I could kinda see how someone who's been through what he has could do what he did and I do, perhaps naively, believe that he knows he messed up and wants to change when you talk to him in The Shadow of The Friendship instead of Ominis like you did.
If you turn him in, Ominis tells you that when he delivers the news about Rookwood, Sebastian is bitter and angry and just getting worse. If you don't turn him in and you deliver the news yourself, Sebastian apologises to you and promises to be better, you remain friends and he actually gets a second chance. Turning him in definitely seems like the bad ending to his quest, Ominis even gives you a second chance in the dialogue to back out of it, warning you that you'll NEVER seen him again. I think you are meant to forgive him.
Sebastian realizes his mistakes if you don't turn him in and tell him about Rockwood, if you turn him in as gaunt says, he only gets angrier... now he's a dark wizard since you turned him in lol.
8:42 “shoulda just avada kadvra him and brought his head back in a spike” AINT NO WAY YOU SAID THAT MY JAW DROPPED!!! And what Sebastian did was bad- SIRRRRR 😂

I don't want it to end!! So much fun watching you play and getting to experience it with you. Your excitement is palpable. As a fellow HP fan, I loved getting to see this game thru your eyes.
My one complaint is that Black wasn't there as well, like, yeah he may be the worst headmaster ever but it would be a point of pride for him not to let Hogwarts get destroyed on HIS watch. But no, he's bad so can't have him there. That would have been such a fun twist.
17:17 trev u dont know just how much I wanted ur reaction on solomon sallow's death and this exact scene. This scene was so amazing. I was so suprised when San bakar killed her, but he did the right thing. I would've done the same if i was in that situation, no doubt. 16:56 if you look at isidora's face, when she blocks Percival's spell, she legit starts smiling and thats when you know she has to die. She looks so evil there with that smile

17:23 her eyes look like all her emotion was took away 17:24 her chest looks like the power she gained has become dead. I bet she smirked at the end cuz she thought “they can’t get rid of me entirely, I still got my enchanted painting”
This was so much fun to watch. I struggled a lot with the Ranrok dragon. What really helped me was that I had the superfast dodge acquired in talents and I had a bunch of Focus potions to reduce spell cooldown. Oh and Protego works agains that red wave Ranrok fires at you! But even then I died at least ten times xd Loved watching this series!
Also wow wow wow that ending, so brilliant and amazing. What a fantastic game. Thanks for playing it, yours was the only lets play I ended up watching after it first came out.
By far the best series i have ever seen ..I honestly wish this ending ...well most the cut scenes was in a movie .. such a good story portrayed in this game ..
Loved the series, thought i'd put this here incase nobody else has, but if you do a Hufflepuff play through the mission on finding the missing pages part of it actually takes you to Azkaban
Thank you for the wonderful journey of Hogwarts as Slytherin in sharing your play-through of Hogwarts Legacy! I’m very excited to be able to play this when it releases for Xbox one. Also plz post your Gryffindor play thru too 👍

They need to hurry up and release DLC so we get more videos from you! such an amazing series.
This was so much fun to watch. I struggled a lot with the Ranrok dragon. What really helped me was that I had the superfast dodge acquired in talents and I had a bunch of Focus potions to reduce spell cooldown. Oh and Protego works agains that red wave Ranrok fires at you! But even then I died at least ten times xd
Loved watching this series!
Amazing series, did you notice all of his professors are there except Headmaster Black.

Loved the series, thought i'd put this here incase nobody else has, but if you do a Hufflepuff play through the mission on finding the missing pages part of it actually takes you to Azkaban
Sebastian and Anne deserve a happy ending
