Ok that intro made me chuckle

I have an ezone 100 and love it. I just got percept 100, 10 days ago. I can tell you that I have absolutely no intention to go back to the ezone. Confort is amazing with the percept. Precision is also amazing. Could not be more happy with it.

What's the power difference like compared to the ezone 100

Is it arm-friendly considering the RA still?

@@andyv6299ezone 100 has more power as we can imagine, after all it has a higher swing weight and also a thicker beam. I feel like the occasions where I need to go 80% with my ezone, I can still hit with 100% with percept. This lower power gives you more control , but percept is also more maneuverable . It cuts the air very easily like this video says. This allow you to shape the ball better , which can also helps you in the control area.

@@daviddav3427I guess it will depend on each person. I would say that percept 100 is more comfortable than ezone 100. I felt however some elbow pain while using percept 100 with confidential. Changed to hyper g , which is softer , and the pain disappeared.

And what about spin? more or less than Ezone100? What string tension do you use?

It does cut through the air quickly, I love that about it. It felt lighter than its actual weight. Very easy to maneuver and serve with.

I started to use the Percept 100 about 2 weeks ago. I have used an Ezone 98 for the last 2 years so it was always going to take a lot for me to consider a switch to a new frame, but just felt I could do with a little more control as sometimes the power / my technique would send it long with the Ezone. Apart from that I have loved the Ezone 98 and had no complaints at all with it. After only about 10 hours of play I decided to use the Percept in my next match, having my Ezone in the bag in case I had made a terrible mistake! Just to note this is first ever 100 inch frame so was slightly worried that I was making a backwards step. The Percept was amazing though and not once was I tempted to take the Ezone out of the bag. I certainly felt I had more control; my serves were more accurate. I hit more aces than I have ever hit in a match, just through placement rather than power / speed. I felt I could hit the angles with confidence and although I still sent a couple long (as we all do) as long as I got the top spin right the majority of deep shots fell in the court and I would say my error rate was a good 50% better for deep shots. I still think the Ezone has more power overall, but the Percept 100 frame is not lacking in power, and I had it strung at 50lbs to give me any power I was missing from the 98 inch frame. Also it’s a 16 / 19 pattern so I didn’t feel as if I lost any spin as top spin is a big part of my game. Still early days, but at the moment I cant see me moving back to the Ezone, so feels like my first major change in racket since the Ezone was released two years ago!!!

Happen to agree with just about everything said here. Quick demo and wasn’t expecting much but was impressed. Thing that impressed me was the feel and response. If hitting the sweet spot it’s like crack.. lol. Stable and easy to maneuver. Slices were nice and good levels of spin with great control. Had ptp black in there. Loved it and went and purchased it. Was a good surprise coming from my gravity mp 2023

It used to be in the late 90s that if you used 100 sq in, it was a "womans" or junior racquet because it was for needing more power. Now it's not uncommon at all at the highest level.

    COMPARE WITH GRAVITY PRO

Sounds like a great idea 👍 I was really REALLY hoping amongst the 3 of them there'd be more discussion between the 2 different string patterns. Particularly the 18X19 wwwhat is that even like for spin power control and at the net. Perhaps demo the 18X19 with a similar racquet. A persistent theme with other UA-camrs is that while Percept is quick through the air it is much too mushy, feel wasn't crisp enough at* all*. This isn't surprising as VDM was similarly mushy.
Seems if you want feel you also need a carton of freezing agent for the pain. Frankly I know of no racquet maker that has struck the perfect balance with feel and arm friendliness. But BUT the 2023 Gravity Pro comes as close as it gets. I had an old Head iX6 that was probably better than Gravity Pro but my word Gravity Pro is also so stable and accurate. IX6 tended to spray wide and long a bit so I couldn't give it too much mustard.
I hope this explains why I'm so disappointed Harry. That 18X19 I felt had a great chance to give the player good feedback on feel but also arm friendly in harmony together, as I know Percept 100s are indeed stable. I hunch the 18X19 Percept 100 will sell better than the 18X20 Percept 100. (less boardy) Harry how about getting that Bay Area Yonex Rep on again please. Dam that guy knew what he was talking about. No disrespect to the coaches there, but the Yonex Rep from last year really provided a lot more background on what Yonex was trying to accomplish. With this new Percept line maybe it's time to bring the Yonex guru back! Good video guys I'll be demoing the 18X19 for certain thank you. 😎 🤔🎾

    23mm is to thick for a „feel“ racket…
