Great review! One note, though: I thought what Blonsky said was that he wants to start a new life with seven SOULmates he met through the pen pal program... not CELLmates as in forming Thunderbolts.

I really wish She-Hulk episodes were longer! I assume it's partially for budget reasons, but poor Titania was on the screen for less than a minute and this week seemed to finish almost as soon as it began. I assume Wong will spin this as being part of Blonski's rehabilitation if Jen manages to find him and take him to task over it.
remember in the trailer, wong shows up and I'm pretty sure that that might be imeils training for the thunderbolts or Wong is teaching him how to correctly use his powers if needed
When Blonsky was explaining to Jen the injustice of being punished for his actions (of which that he blamed on the government,) & how unfair it was that Bruce/Hulk was seen as a hero, really reminded me of Wanda & Dr Strange's conversation in the orchard.
Except Wanda hurt people for her own selfish reasons. Dr. Strange literally saved the universe. It doesn't seem fair because they're not equal comparisons. Emil's argument actually holds water.
@@MontgomeryWenis, I agree, it's not exactly the same scenario. It just really reminded me of it. We still don't see his true intentions yet. He was kinda fast and loose with the facts; no one told him to get Bruce's blood, (that was his own ego wanting to be stronger and beat the Hulk.) I still think he might be putting on an act - only time will tell. And Bruce never intentionally became the Hulk, (especially not for his own ego.) He did save the entire universe with that snap, so I can see why the people of 616 see him as a hero now.
I've watched so many other channels like NewRockstars for Easter egg breakdowns and hands down Screencrush is the absolute best. Great content, funny puns, great pop culture references (die-a-beet-us) & zero obnoxiousness. Well done Ryan. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Though you might find it interesting that the bottle the bartender flashes at the Holliway when he approached Jen without even asking for it was Pappy Van Winkel and it looks to be to 23 year family reserve. It usually runs $350-$400 a glass and about $6000 a bottle in a good shop. The bar must keep it special there just for him since he didn't even have to ask for it.
Seems like that was Jennifer's spot. When the rich dude said he'd buy her a drink, I'm pretty sure Pedro was just hooking her up with the best drink possible.
Surprised you didn't mention that the facility where the Abomination is at part of the Department of Damage Control, which was first shown in Spiderman as part of Shield's Chitari Clean Up Crews. Also the brief fourth wall break from Jen when the Hulk says "I was a completely different person, literally".... was quick and subtle 4th Wall break which was great! Hoping for more Damage Control, I know DC did there own series for TV.... but Damage Control was always fun.
And the Department Of Damage Control played a huge part in Ms. Marvel and No Way Home. They are definitely going to play a big role going forward, maybe in Thunderbolts or possibly Secret Invasion. In No Way Home they said Nick Fury was off planet but in Far From Home we see Talos pretending to be him so there could be some sort of Skrull connection there
Damage Control is mention in Iron Man 1 soooo they're in the MCU pretty much since the beginning (just like the "Universe 616" with that scene in thor 2. And RoXXon too)
Emil wasn't referring to his old cellmates. He literally explained that he met his seven soulmates through the prison pen pal program. As in people wrote him letters and he responded, via letter.
I don't think Abomination is out in public, it's old footage that leaked. He'll still be in prison but they'll need to explain how he snuck out and snuck back in.
@@Wico90YT If it is, we’ll see next week. In this case she’ll be on the hunt for answers or Wong, since I bet she will get back to the prison then to check on abomination. Perhaps Wong is coming to her to clear things up by himself.

Okay, two things. I'm also some kind of color blind because the Iron man helmet looked gold and maroon to me so I had no idea where it came from. Then "How do you know that" "I'm not two", "fair enough" got me to pause the video to finish laughing. Love you Doug.
It certainly doesn’t help that they were doing tropical golden ‘Mexico’ lighting on the helmet. (Because everything is yellow/gold in Mexico, that’s how you know it’s set there, according to Pitch Meetings!) Also, who doesn’t love Doug? Best host on any channel!

In the scene in Jen's apartment where she and Nikki are on the couch, there's a bottle of The Velvet Devil wine nearby - foreshadowing Daredevil's eventual introduction to the show.
@@philthytanks4952 Yea, I would imagine they’re going to make him into some sort of born again, new age guru type to parallel Bruce’s own journey towards inner peace and just like in ‘The Incredible Hulk,’ Blonski’s dark reflection will manifest itself as going overboard with meditation circles in some remote commune with women who have fetishised him.
Which I guess could lead to the Thunderbolts in a roundabout way when someone working for the Contessa shows up at the compound and tells him to put his shoes back on and report for duty as part of a condition for his parole.

Based on scale/size of the room, the walls, the door, and the camera placement, pretty sure the prison room Blonsky is being held in is a re-used set of the holding rooms in the TVA in Loki
I caught two additional ones! The guy who plays Pug, even though this isn't a MAJOR Easter egg, was the DA in Arrow back in season 5, so I thought that was cool. Also, before the guy offers She-Hulk a job in the bar, Ally McBeal is on the television which was also a legal drama. It was a cool show back in the 90s.
There was an article in Variety not long ago where Tatiana says she never watched Ally McBeal, but rather, Legally Blonde in preparing for the role. Good to know she eventually did watch some of it
Josh Segarra is the actor who played Adrian Chase, the DA on Arrow who was also The Vigilante. Not sure if it was intentional for Jen to say earlier that she didn't want to be a vigilante. Could just be a coincidence.
Love that the MCU expands with She-Hulk and that we get some answers and new things to talk about. But honestly I felt like the episodes so far came a lil bit short, and I don’t mean runtime !
Great reviews as always! Have to point out that she didn’t call Bruce to get his “permission” to take Emil as a client but as a courtesy to let him know. She said she wanted to have a conversation with him first and even at the end of that part of their conversation they acknowledge that she’s going to do it, and never is asking for his “permission”.
The news report says that the leaked video has emerged showing the cage fights. It doesn't mean that the fight video was just taken. It's just like the others have said, the video was sat on and released on purpose, whether it be to screw with his parole app, or to make things harder for she/hulk. It is possible Tatiana was present at the fights, i mean she is a super-powered "Influencer", the underground cage fight Would seem like a place someone like that might be just to score more Notoriety....... But, that's just a theory. I'm sure it has something to do with the thunderbolts.
I was wondering about this too. Especially since Bruce appears at the end of Shang Chi still with his arm splint, and at the beginning of the She Hulk series, his arm is healed from Jen’s blood.
@@willmichael138 Still a plot hole regardless of the fight. Bruce spoke to Shang Chi and Wong after Shang Chi's battle at the village which was celebrating Qingming festival which is a Chinese traditional holiday dating back 2500 years that always falls on either April 4th or April 5th. The writer for She-Hulk confirmed the show takes place right after Shang Chi. But episode 1 was a flashback episode where we saw how Jen became the Hulk, how the Hulk healed his arm, and how he tried to train her in Mexico. By Jen's words, this was "a few months ago when Bruce and I went on a road trip" So it doesnt add up How can Bruce's arm be in a sling in human form talking to Shang Chi and Wong after April 4th 2024, which is when She-Hulk takes place (current She-Hulk time when she is now working on the Blosnky case) when the events of her becoming She-Hulk were 'a few months ago'? Not only that, but the BS of Bruce telling Jen in the car that his arm can now heal faster now that he is in human form thanks to the inhibitor (so Hulk's healing factor is worse than human's now? lol) Not to mention in ep 2, Jen's laptop has an article about 'giant figure still in the Indian Ocean', which is a call out to the Celestial Tiamat that the Cerci froze to save the Earth at the end of Eternals. Eternals took place July 2024 but this show is right after April 2024.....so that event hasnt happened yet.
@@fastbike6764 I see the arm healing faster as Banner because the snap had alot of gamma radiation so restraining any gamma exposure will surely make the wound heal faster in this unique case Maybe they meant the flashback was right after Shang Chi, otherwise they've messed up

what you said about the iron legion helmet and colorblindness always gets me thinking about this Vsauce video from a while back where he explains how we could all see colors differently but name it the same and we could never know, like visually we could be seeing different things but we named it the same, like my green could be youre yellow but we both name it as "green" so we agree is "green" but we could be seeing different colors internally and not know it
Such a funny and entertaining episode...I swear I laughed every few minutes... This show has so many easter eggs, it's brilliant.... I'm actually really enjoying this show. Just wish the eps weren't quite so short. And yes, I think it's a yanni and laurel, dress color situation. The helmet looks red and gold and blue and silver depending on the angle, at least to me.

A big question is why are there so many super powered beings, like Titania, showing up on Earth? Is it because of the breaks in the multiverse? Is it because of the aliens in New Asgard? Is Doctor Doom responsible for Titania’s powers?
The interesting thing to me is the thought that with so many super powered people and things the planet has experienced, it'd need to be an extreme reason for people to suddenly feel Mutants are a huge enough problem to be feared when they finally do show up. That suggests to me that the Mutant might appear with a pretty big bang.
@@Josh_Noble it might also be a case where Tiamat was "hatching" caused the huge influx of heroes being activated. I seem to recall hearing that planets with a Celestial inside alter the biome to create super-powered apex lifeforms to act as a defense mechanism. And then there's the case that it could be a matter of all of the ideas mentioned--mutants, multiverse, the blip, the Eternals, etc.
I've watched the episode 3 times and didn't realize until your video that Jennifer breaks the 4th wall after Bruce makes the joke about being a totally different person now. That was absolutely brilliant! I'm loving this show so far!!!
Missed a couple on the bar: 1) the screen in the bar shows ' Ally McBeal ' which is an inspiration for the show 2) the name of the bar is a pun on ' legalese ', the jargon of litigators.
What if hulk was able to hear she hulk break the 4th wall since he used the infinity gauntlet it gave him some consciousness passed his universe even if it’s just minor
My only question has been, if Jen put on makeup before her first day at her new job, why didn’t we see streaks of it after she turned into She Hulk? I totally get that a lot of women don’t wear makeup (myself included), but a lot of women do wear makeup, and if Jen was wearing more than mascara and lipstick, it feels like some of it should be visible after she turns.
we don't really know much about hulk skin, except that it's basically inpenetrable, maybe it removes anything on the skin when you transfrom, just like how it heals wounds
theory with thunderbolts...well more of an observation. From what we've seen. Val is recruitting basically Dopplegangers of the original 6 avengers. Abomination/Hulk U.S.Agent/Captain America Yelena/Black Widow Zemo/Hawkeye (due to likely the only man on the team with no powers or high tech weapons) So we need now is someone representing Thor and Iron Man. This is also the same set up for Dark Avengers in the comics. Osborn purposly picked the first roster to be identical to popular avengers to gain the trust of the people (venom/spiderman, Ares/Thor, Iron Patriot/Iron Man & Captain America, etc) If Im right maybe possible members to fill in the void: Hercules/Thor (we have seen him debut. Maybe he goes to earth to find Thor but gets recruitted by Val. as she needs a god) Whiplash/Iron Man (we could find out he is still alive) Or could be wrong. Ghost/Hawkeye (both skilled fighters) Zemo/Iron man: both have connections, both a men without powers and dealt with army in their past) Loki (from disney+ show)/Thor
I think you misunderstood Blonsky. He wants to join 7 soulmates, not cell mates. But you are right that he could be referring to the Suicide Squ.... I mean Thunderbolts
I assume Wong does this with random superpeople to earn money, which he splits with his opponents. Being the Sorcerer Supreme doesn’t pay a living wage, and those tuna melts from the corner deli don’t come cheap. Strange was gone a long while and he, being a famous surgeon probably has a pretty full bank account and didn't have to worry about money. Wong has to get more creative.
True he has the power to teleport into a bank and steal money but doesn’t next best thing is getting guys to fight in legal cage fight in Madripoor for money . He’s not gonna leave a Ad on Craigslist for sorcerer supreme plumbing service
Strange was pretty much broke when he tried looking for the cure for his hands. He probably are not practicing, but i imagine he can still earn from doing consultations and research

14:55 Emil says "Soulmates" not "cell mates" (it's even in the Close Caption both times he says it), so he's never met them before. You don't become penpals with people you know, and he'd know his former cellmates, and honestly to be super pedantic, he'd can't _have_ a cellmate simply because he's always in his own cell. So it looks like Val (or someone else) is manipulating him via the penpal program.
True, but to be fair, why would a super villain be allowed to have pen pals to become soul mates with? It's stupid either way... but entertaining, just run with it.
@@jesseleeshoemakerjr5461 monitored communication with the outside would probably be allowed, it’s really no different than people in maximum security prisons today, they still have some rights.
I feel strong xmen vibe with this show definitely showing how people fear what they don't understand. Also the technology, and anxiety she wants get shredded when seeing abomination was solid hint toward the segregation will be seeing against mutants, and how that impact their worldview ,and effect their anxiety.
That’s why it’s important they adhere closer to the comic origins for mutants instead of some cosmic transplants from another dimension. Gives credence to the “alienated in your own home” sentiment from mutant kind
Should we start talking about how many heroes are in space or been hinted at going into space? Because that seems like a decent sized list to me. Thor, Hulk, Ms. Marvel, nick fury, all but like two of the eternals. Monica Rambue is hinted at going into space and Captain Marvel can fly into space anytime she wants. Shaung Chi's post credit scene hints that the ten rings is somehow connected to space... not to mention the heroes that their movies are set in space like the guardians of the galaxy. Also with the fantasic four coming soon to the mcu they got their powers in space at least in the comics. I know that we're in the multiverse saga but it's looking more and more like the space saga
I think "going to space" is just an easy catch-all to not have to account for a character's whereabouts until they are ready to use them. When they show up and someone asks "Where have you been?".... Uh, I was in space.
Since they find out they are not alone in the universe in the first Avengers, i imagine humankind have been exploring and racing towards the idea of space travel since then.
Hey at least you admitted you thought it was an iron man helmet, new rockstars doubled down and said well the iron legion is technically an iron man suit lmao
Amil says twice a line about his 7 soulmates, i took this as he is already aware of the Thunderbolts team prospects, hence why he is seeking public exoneration, so he can be on that team. He says something about after getting free settling on a large plot of land provided for him and his 7 soulmates. In my mind this means there will be a total of 8 Thunderbolts. I also came up with a list of the 8 i think will be on that line up, some are obvious and some fit if you think it through. List as follows:- 1. Abomination ( obvious ) 2. Yelana Belova ( obvious ) 3. Baron Zemo ( obvious ) 4. Ghost ( is she even still alive?? ) 5. Titania ( cos why not ) 6. US Agent/ John Walker ( obvious ) 7. Sharon Carter ( i dont believe she is true power broker + think it through, it makes sense and im happy to explain ) 8. Taskmaster ( also just makes sense ) This is only my thoughts and im happy to talk about it.
'7 Soulmates' is not a reference to the Thunderbolts. Its a reference to how well known criminals get lots of letters from women while in prison and sometimes fall in love with them. That is why he mentions the pen-pal program. Plus he says his soulmates paid for the land. It wasn't bought for them. And since the Thunderbolts are a government-made team, they would probably be able to get him exonerated. Val would probably be able to pull a few strings to get him exonerated if he is willing to work on the team. So either Jen will succeed in getting him exonerated and then Val will approach him, or she will fail but Val will come in after and offer his freedom in exchange for working with her. Or Jen could succeed but then we find out later that Val helped from behind the scenes.
@@culchiefilms1791 i actually did think about that too. Val probably is that Pen-pal and the whole reason for the legal process in the first place, the government cant be seen to be working with criminals, so Amil needs to be exonerated first. I dont know dude but either way the whole coversation seemed strange.
@@neildawson2672 Yeah I didn't think of one of the pen pals being Val but that does make sense. I think she will definitely have something to do with him getting exonerated someway or another
The character development so far is still so far off other MCU shows like Loki and Wanda. Every hero and anti hero not only has a draw but goes on a journey of sorts to deal with it. She Hulk has powers given to her with no repercussions, really no learning curve, and no struggle to deal with them. Even the job loss solved in a montage of 4 shots. I think this is showing why some of these ancillary heroes are that way for a reason.
I believe she will have that growth process throughout, probably realising bruce was right in ep. About her not fully understanding or appreciating the power she now has, some shit is gonna go really wrong and she will be seen as the antagonist through the eyes of others within the show, forcing her to accept bruce’s point and achieving the character development aspects alot of people are saying is non existent ( which to be fair there is not much threat or growth in these first two eps) but the series is 9 eps in total. Remember how WandaVision started with their first 3 eps, most of the development came after that point and by the end was really satisfying despite is weird as fuck starter episodes lol
@@neildawson2672 there’s no way. With how much this show emphasis girl power, I can’t possibly imagine it culminating with a man (Bruce) having been correct all along. She’ll probably come to some realization but it will be some rewording of what Bruce says so Jenn can say “you were wrong Bruce, but I DID realize something even MORE profound. Because Waman”.
@@davidwindell i can totally see that being the case now that you mention it, i was hoping it wasn’t going to be so much about gender divide, comes off as a little forced with the hinted undertones suggesting a need to “ 1up” the other. @@captainobvious90 it's not necessary about trauma, it's about having adversity. So far she's had none. She turns hulk, no problem, she can control it. She loses her job, no problem one falls into her lap. She's attacked by her first villian, no problem, she just beats her ass with a table. Every character of note has a flaw and or weakness. She's got none. This is why some of these characters are secondary, they're poorly thought out. Iron Man had his arrogance. Hulk has his struggle to control himself. Batman struggles with his the trauma of his parents death. etc Where's the heroes journey with She Hulk? She's got it all figured out already when every other character has something they're always dealing with, internally and externally.
Ummm.... correction... it's not Seven Cellmates, it's Seven SOULMATES. Turn on the subtitles and it confirms this. I think this is in reference... possible to either the Seven Brides of Set (of which She-Hulk was one) or Salem's Seven (the coven of witches that are the grandchildren of Agatha Harkness) There is a part of Abomination's history according to Marvel Fandom that involves the Deviant Ghaur and Lemurian Llyra both of who tried to resurrect the elder god Set and took mind control over seven super heroines; the Seven Brides of Set. An allie to Ghaur and Hulk villain, Tyrannus was also responsible for bringing the Abomination back from the supposed dead. Beyond that there is also a part of his history where he was summoned by a coven of witches to kill the Silver Surfer. Granted I don't think these witches were The Salem's Seven (nor were all of the Salem's Seven females... but maybe Emil swings both ways). And beyond that in the comics he has an alia; Agent R-7 so maybe the Seven Soulmates could be a nod to that. But despite him NOT saying "Cellmates" you could still be on to something. Maybe he is providing code talk to reference the Thunderbolts; Seven (number on the team), prison pen pal system (meaning they are all prisoners... or that is a code for Thunderbolts itself). But you forget the other part where he says he wants to live out his days on the land purchased by his soulmates. I wouldn't think he means he wants to live out his days in a Thunderbolt base... so I'm still thinking he's talking about soulmates.
@@PackJLF No, it's old footage, it just happened to come out that day. I would assume the next episode that wee'll find out from Wong that they've been running that grift for years.
Okay so in response to the idea of Avengers movies inside of the MCU: Some of the meta stuff in Episode 1 got me thinking along these lines. You know how in The Boys, the supes star in dramatized movies about themselves? I have a theory that the MCU movies aren't meant to be events happening in real time, but rather a retelling of historical events via the heroes themselves. This would explain Thor and Korg partially narrating the last two films, why we rarely see the military on the scene, why uninvolved characters know the stories beat by beat despite no reporters present, etc. Also, moments that I think was meant to be meta commentary in Episode 2 were 1) when Jen asked "Is this a joke?" and Holliway replies with a straight face "I never joke." and 2) when Jen asks if Emil is gonna offer her fava beans, the prison guard says with a square face "Ma'am, this is a prison." The MCU gets a lot of flack for undermining serious moments and how unfazed average humans must be there by now. It felt like this was Jen adapting to the so-called silliness of the MCU, but the people of that world going "No, we still take this all very seriously."
On in-universe superhero movies in the MCU: Didn’t they kinda do that in the Ultimate comics when Spider-Man crashed a movie set filming a Spider-Man movie? The only part I really remember is Kong (who Ned Leeds is partly based on) getting a role as an extra, and Parker getting very frustrated when he demonstrates his powers on set to point out he should get royalties, only to find out that by virtue of having a secret identity, he couldn’t trademark his Spider-Man persona… and that his acrobatics saved the production several million dollars in VFX costs.
Doesn’t portraying almost every man in this show as a sexist not the same as portraying all women like dumb blonde sex appeal tools? Like cmon do we always need to take one step forward and two back? It just seems kinda petty. Like damn I’m thinking of all the male interactions in this show and even Bruce is portrayed to be controlling over her, her co worker being the worst person doesn’t build any character, he’s just a dick so the audience knows he’s a horrible male. It’s not even like the using women as hot objects is even really a thing anymore, yeah do you remember in Spider-Man when aunt may and mj did nothing but look hot in wet shirts being taken captive. Oh yeah they weren’t portrayed like that, so why feel the need to make all the male characters in this show stereotypes?
Personally I took away how awesome Jennifer’s father is. And Bruce comes across great, not overly controlling; not sure where you’re getting that from? Seems you’re just butt hurt that shitty men are being called out in this show!

One thing I found interesting was the fact that they asked specifically about Hawkeye, the person who killed Bruce Banner in CW2. They could’ve asked about and other aspect of any other hero, but they went specifically for the least popular one, both in the real world and in the MCU. I don’t think it’ll happen in this show, but I feel like they may be trying to lowkey get us to associate hawkeye with the hulk for the future This could just be my version of Erik Voss dying on the hill of his Mephisto theory, but imma keep this tinfoil on for a while 😂

Its for budget reasons and because they want to stretch the show out for more weeks to lock in subscribers longer
Yea. When I thought the show was finally getting interesting and the plot is finally moving forward. Oh its credit scene next.
the short duration of each episode has made me very conscious of how much I am enjoying it though...leaves me wanting more
remember in the trailer, wong shows up and I'm pretty sure that that might be imeils training for the thunderbolts or Wong is teaching him how to correctly use his powers if needed
When Blonsky was explaining to Jen the injustice of being punished for his actions
(of which that he blamed on the government,) & how unfair it was that Bruce/Hulk was seen as a hero, really reminded me of Wanda & Dr Strange's conversation in the orchard.
And then she murdered like, a bunch of people.
@SunshineBay Or The Red Guardian about Captain America …
I've watched so many other channels like NewRockstars for Easter egg breakdowns and hands down Screencrush is the absolute best. Great content, funny puns, great pop culture references (die-a-beet-us) & zero obnoxiousness. Well done Ryan. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
My favorite bit was hulk saying he's a completely different person... literally.
😂
I was snorting with laughter. kinda the best part of the episode 😂
Jen also looks at the camera when letting out a "haha".
Yeah, he’s a skrol
And RoXXon too)
It was The Raft... which we've seen before. A few times
Facts
Jacob Dean5 confidently wrong lol. Its not the raft, it's a new facility (maybe the vault). Google the image of the facility to jog your memory
Emil wasn't referring to his old cellmates. He literally explained that he met his seven soulmates through the prison pen pal program. As in people wrote him letters and he responded, via letter.
Yeah the English CC says soulmates
Next episode hopefully clears the cagefights with Wong, would be just right to bring him in the next episode, with them on the hunt for abomination!
I don't think Abomination is out in public, it's old footage that leaked. He'll still be in prison but they'll need to explain how he snuck out and snuck back in.

Okay, two things. I'm also some kind of color blind because the Iron man helmet looked gold and maroon to me so I had no idea where it came from. Then "How do you know that" "I'm not two", "fair enough" got me to pause the video to finish laughing. Love you Doug.
Doug is awesome!
Doug is the best. We need more "...explained to a dog" videos!
It certainly doesn’t help that they were doing tropical golden ‘Mexico’ lighting on the helmet.
(Because everything is yellow/gold in Mexico, that’s how you know it’s set there, according to Pitch Meetings!)
Also, who doesn’t love Doug? Best host on any channel!
Was a droid helmet from Age of Ultron.
15:12 Emil says 'soulmates' not 'cellmates'. How would he meet cellmates through a pen-pal program 🤣 and why would they want to buy him land or a home? Its a reference to how so many women fall in love with prisoners from writing letters, not a reference to the Thunderbolts
In the scene in Jen's apartment where she and Nikki are on the couch, there's a bottle of The Velvet Devil wine nearby - foreshadowing Daredevil's eventual introduction to the show.
He said “soul mates,” not “cell mates,” just with his Bri’ish accent.
It’s not a setup for the Thunderbolts, it’s a hybristophilia joke.
Was just scrolling down to make this comment. Also back in the early trailers for the show we got shots of a group of women visiting him
@@philthytanks4952 Yea, I would imagine they’re going to make him into some sort of born again, new age guru type to parallel Bruce’s own journey towards inner peace and just like in ‘The Incredible Hulk,’ Blonski’s dark reflection will manifest itself as going overboard with meditation circles in some remote commune with women who have fetishised him.
Which I guess could lead to the Thunderbolts in a roundabout way when someone working for the Contessa shows up at the compound and tells him to put his shoes back on and report for duty as part of a condition for his parole.

@@Sunshine_day haha Bohner!
I actually think it could be the Owl. Since he is an enemy of Daredevil who will be in show soon.
Good to know she eventually did watch some of it
RDJ played a love interest of Ally McBeal and he has the same snarky comedic tone that he would use a decade later as Tony Stark
Josh Segarra is the actor who played Adrian Chase, the DA on Arrow who was also The Vigilante. Not sure if it was intentional for Jen to say earlier that she didn't want to be a vigilante. Could just be a coincidence.
Thank you so much it was bugging me what Pug had been in before!
Ally McBeal is actually one of the inspirations for the way they wanted the tone of this show to be.
I love the call out to Jess of New Rockstars! She is my fav!! Also, loved that you went back and mentioned additional details missed.
What did you think of the episode?

It is possible Tatiana was present at the fights, i mean she is a super-powered
"Influencer", the underground cage fight
Would seem like a place someone like that might be just to score more Notoriety....... But, that's just a theory.
I'm sure it has something to do with the thunderbolts.
Tatiana is the name of the actress of she hulk, i think you meant titania who is played by jameela jamil
I was wondering about this too. Especially since Bruce appears at the end of Shang Chi still with his arm splint, and at the beginning of the She Hulk series, his arm is healed from Jen’s blood.
@@stonkykong8540 Yeah, I thought the exact same thing, Bruce's arm being damaged at the end of Shang Chi means that fight is old footage.
By Jen's words, this was "a few months ago when Bruce and I went on a road trip"
So it doesnt add up
How can Bruce's arm be in a sling in human form talking to Shang Chi and Wong after April 4th 2024, which is when She-Hulk takes place (current She-Hulk time when she is now working on the Blosnky case) when the events of her becoming She-Hulk were 'a few months ago'?
Not only that, but the BS of Bruce telling Jen in the car that his arm can now heal faster now that he is in human form thanks to the inhibitor (so Hulk's healing factor is worse than human's now? lol)
Not to mention in ep 2, Jen's laptop has an article about 'giant figure still in the Indian Ocean', which is a call out to the Celestial Tiamat that the Cerci froze to save the Earth at the end of Eternals.
Eternals took place July 2024 but this show is right after April 2024.....so that event hasnt happened yet.
@@fastbike6764 I see the arm healing faster as Banner because the snap had alot of gamma radiation so restraining any gamma exposure will surely make the wound heal faster in this unique case

A big question is why are there so many super powered beings, like Titania, showing up on Earth? Is it because of the breaks in the multiverse? Is it because of the aliens in New Asgard? Is Doctor Doom responsible for Titania’s powers?
There's a Power Broker in Madripoor, they lost their Super Soldier Serum, but that was a recent thing anyway, not how they got the name.
The interesting thing to me is the thought that with so many super powered people and things the planet has experienced, it'd need to be an extreme reason for people to suddenly feel Mutants are a huge enough problem to be feared when they finally do show up. That suggests to me that the Mutant might appear with a pretty big bang.
I'm thinking maybe whenever Hulk brought everyone back after the blip, did that change their DNA leading to more mutants? And was Jen blipped?
@@Josh_Noble it might also be a case where Tiamat was "hatching" caused the huge influx of heroes being activated. I seem to recall hearing that planets with a Celestial inside alter the biome to create super-powered apex lifeforms to act as a defense mechanism. And then there's the case that it could be a matter of all of the ideas mentioned--mutants, multiverse, the blip, the Eternals, etc.
Consider it a perception alteration.
That news reports correctly now they understand what is in the world.
That coverups are no longer bothered with.
Great job! I got one. When Jen is at the bar by herself before she gets the job offer Aly McBeal is playing on the TV, a big influence for this show.

I've watched the episode 3 times and didn't realize until your video that Jennifer breaks the 4th wall after Bruce makes the joke about being a totally different person now. That was absolutely brilliant! I'm loving this show so far!!!
Funny, I hate it for that very same reason. Then again, I've never liked that style of writing so its not exclusive to She-Hulk.
I just wish they’d made the episodes longer than 30 seconds. Loving the series so far.
The way he fades to a whisper on "the best bathroom for pooping" makes me giggle every time I hear it.
My only question has been, if Jen put on makeup before her first day at her new job, why didn’t we see streaks of it after she turned into She Hulk? I totally get that a lot of women don’t wear makeup (myself included), but a lot of women do wear makeup, and if Jen was wearing more than mascara and lipstick, it feels like some of it should be visible after she turns.
we don't really know much about hulk skin, except that it's basically inpenetrable, maybe it removes anything on the skin when you transfrom, just like how it heals wounds
don't ask logical questions or point out plotholes. Just shut up and watch the show, and while you're at it, give a 5-star rating on IMDB.
Great detail to examine! Maybe her controlled anger from being a woman in the patriarchy gives Jen more control over her appearance than Bruce has.
Probably because I have no desire to see She Hulk with weird streaky makeup all over her face 🤷🏽♂️
I noticed that She-Hulk has green eyeshadow that is a slightly different color than her green skin.
Roxxon is also in the Daredevil Netflix series, season 2
theory with thunderbolts...well more of an observation. From what we've seen. Val is recruitting basically Dopplegangers of the original 6 avengers.
Abomination/Hulk
U.S.Agent/Captain America
Yelena/Black Widow
Zemo/Hawkeye (due to likely the only man on the team with no powers or high tech weapons)
So we need now is someone representing Thor and Iron Man. This is also the same set up for Dark Avengers in the comics. Osborn purposly picked the first roster to be identical to popular avengers to gain the trust of the people (venom/spiderman, Ares/Thor, Iron Patriot/Iron Man & Captain America, etc)
If Im right maybe possible members to fill in the void:
Hercules/Thor (we have seen him debut. Maybe he goes to earth to find Thor but gets recruitted by Val. as she needs a god)
Whiplash/Iron Man (we could find out he is still alive)
Or could be wrong.
Ghost/Hawkeye (both skilled fighters)
Zemo/Iron man: both have connections, both a men without powers and dealt with army in their past)
Loki (from disney+ show)/Thor
The way you went into that Nord VPN product placement so seamlessly is impressive! Best ad to content flow I've seen on any channel.

The events in WandaVision fuels that sentiment as well, same as Zemo's hatred towards enhanced/super soldiers.
Ryan is in the zone when naming the comic book covers in the office. Go off king!
*Shang Chi, not Shaung Ci
I think "going to space" is just an easy catch-all to not have to account for a character's whereabouts until they are ready to use them. When they show up and someone asks "Where have you been?".... Uh, I was in space.
Since they find out they are not alone in the universe in the first Avengers, i imagine humankind have been exploring and racing towards the idea of space travel since then.

List as follows:-
1. Abomination ( obvious )
2. Yelana Belova ( obvious )
3. Baron Zemo ( obvious )
4. Ghost ( is she even still alive?? )
5. Titania ( cos why not )
6. US Agent/ John Walker ( obvious )
7. Sharon Carter ( i dont believe she is true power broker + think it through, it makes sense and im happy to explain )
8. Taskmaster ( also just makes sense )
This is only my thoughts and im happy to talk about it.
Yes, I had a similar though. Good call re: Ghost - I'd forgotten about her!
Yelena isn't one of his cell mates 🙄

Batman struggles with his the trauma of his parents death. etc
Where's the heroes journey with She Hulk? She's got it all figured out already when every other character has something they're always dealing with, internally and externally.
i can hear the 4am in the background in the Wolverine part of the video. Gets some rest Ryan you did a great job its deserved.
Ummm.... correction... it's not Seven Cellmates, it's Seven SOULMATES. Turn on the subtitles and it confirms this. I think this is in reference... possible to either the Seven Brides of Set (of which She-Hulk was one) or Salem's Seven (the coven of witches that are the grandchildren of Agatha Harkness)
There is a part of Abomination's history according to Marvel Fandom that involves the Deviant Ghaur and Lemurian Llyra both of who tried to resurrect the elder god Set and took mind control over seven super heroines; the Seven Brides of Set.
I wouldn't think he means he wants to live out his days in a Thunderbolt base... so I'm still thinking he's talking about soulmates.
you reading into it WAY too much my guy
@@coreywinter8716 yeah probably... it's what i do, lol
Man. These episodes need to be longer. More She Hulk!
In the after credits scene of shang chi Bruce still has his arm in a sling so slight error there? Time line wise
why? The leaked video is an old recording according to the show, not the latest. This means the events of Shang Chi are before the She Hulk.
@@ajayvaishnav6840 No, Jennifer saw Emil that day to decide whether or not to take his case. So, that video was from that day.
@@PackJLF No, it's old footage, it just happened to come out that day. I would assume the next episode that wee'll find out from Wong that they've been running that grift for years.
@@PackJLF They said leaked footage not a live broadcast/stream. So it could have happened anytime before the news discovered it.
Bruce had the the sling in the 1st episode...
DUDE!!!! I knew you were going to bake a cousin Larry reference, I love your channel man
Okay so in response to the idea of Avengers movies inside of the MCU:
Some of the meta stuff in Episode 1 got me thinking along these lines.
Also, moments that I think was meant to be meta commentary in Episode 2 were 1) when Jen asked "Is this a joke?" and Holliway replies with a straight face "I never joke." and 2) when Jen asks if Emil is gonna offer her fava beans, the prison guard says with a square face "Ma'am, this is a prison."
The MCU gets a lot of flack for undermining serious moments and how unfazed average humans must be there by now. It felt like this was Jen adapting to the so-called silliness of the MCU, but the people of that world going "No, we still take this all very seriously."
"why uninvolved characters know the stories beat by beat despite no reporters present" we literally had a response to that in Ms Marvel
@@dineinunes yup and it doesn't contradict my theory! In fact, it supports my theory 😉
I love your dog! The voiceover is hilarious 😂
I feel like Jennifer's transformation as She-Hulk was too fast. She is controlling her anger too easy.
It wasn’t to fast,it was just somewhat ’hard’ for Bruce cause of his DID
Agreed, there's a constant theme with phase 4 characters being perfect which makes it hard to connect with them or find them relatable
It doesn't looks like she turns hulk when she's angry. It has become more like Wolverine where he uses the claws at will or like human torch
You can tell when someone doesn't know how the comics go.
@@Shuyin128MK4 haha you mean like the writers of this show. 🤣
"Not a great plan."🤣🤣🤣 great edit👍🏽. Also "I'm not 2"🤣🤣🤣
On in-universe superhero movies in the MCU: Didn’t they kinda do that in the Ultimate comics when Spider-Man crashed a movie set filming a Spider-Man movie? The only part I really remember is Kong (who Ned Leeds is partly based on) getting a role as an extra, and Parker getting very frustrated when he demonstrates his powers on set to point out he should get royalties, only to find out that by virtue of having a secret identity, he couldn’t trademark his Spider-Man persona… and that his acrobatics saved the production several million dollars in VFX costs.
not sure you'll see this, but the GLK H logo, is a direct picture and overlay from the original She Hulk logo on disney +. when it was first announced
Oh sorry I forgot the one decent male, pug… a pure simp😂😂😂😂
this
Personally I took away how awesome Jennifer’s father is. And Bruce comes across great, not overly controlling; not sure where you’re getting that from? Seems you’re just butt hurt that shitty men are being called out in this show!
@@jonathanramos5014 wow just watched a video from a channel called baggage claim and she broke this phases issue down so we’ll, I know not many will see this but you should watch it
@@scottking8189 definitely will give it a watch, thanks 👍
The Netflix shows mention roxxon Corp quite a few times, daredevil, the defenders, Luke cage mainly.
This breakdown is almost aslong as the episode itself. I stil don't understand why disney makes 9, 23 minute short episodes in a season. At that point, make a movie.
Love the videos Ryan, big fan since earlier this year. Super fun and very funny and cute dog and your mom! I love what you do, be blessed😎💪🏽
One thing I found interesting was the fact that they asked specifically about Hawkeye, the person who killed Bruce Banner in CW2.
They could’ve asked about and other aspect of any other hero, but they went specifically for the least popular one, both in the real world and in the MCU.
I don’t think it’ll happen in this show, but I feel like they may be trying to lowkey get us to associate hawkeye with the hulk for the future
This could just be my version of Erik Voss dying on the hill of his Mephisto theory, but imma keep this tinfoil on for a while 😂
Ryan, you've become my favorite Marvel breakdown guy. Doug rules!
"And you don't want to miss a thiiiiiiing"
Weird that you didn't show the clip from the Hulk where the student being interviewed called him "like... a Hulk". That seems like the perfect version of a scene like that.
