I absolutely love your channel, looking forward to trying things out and foraging also teach my grandchildren ❤
Love these videos because they're so clear and easy to follow, can't wait to try this 😊
I just love you guys, in great information I enjoyed it a lot.. from an old heart in the mountains of North Carolina
Oooh, oooh, oooh. Gotta give this a try!
Have been encouraging a bramble over my side of the allotment fence, from an area called no mans land. 😊
Blackberry mustard is great too…
Me and my mother happened across your UA-cam channel arround a week or two ago, we watch a couple of your videos nearly every evening since then, we thoroughly enjoy this channel it's a awesome eye opener to what's out there within our world across the UK and ireland. It reminds my mother of the times where her parents and grandparents were foraging for mushrooms and wild edibles for all sorts of different reasons . I really have also opened my eyes as to what's arround, I live in the countryside in ireland I'm luckier than I think at times because there's alot of these awesome things just outside my door even though I haven't seen them before all these things were under our noses or have just been ignored for this metropolitan fast paced world most if us try to keep up woth. Thank you guys for the effort you put into this channel The,Recipies the facts and foklore all tie in extremely well. and makes for a really nice learning experience.
Makes a great wine as well, I gave up the booze so this may be the go!
I'm not on fb, PayPal, amazon etc is there a way to get you book direct pls I'm in the UK? Also how long can you store this sauce✌️
No, their books are published through Amazon so it's the only way to get them.
If you just put it in the fridge, like they do it won't last long - few weeks at best. If you put it into a hot, sterilized jar, and close the lid straight away it will seal and will be shelf stable for ages. Keep in the fridge after opening.
You guys are so cheerful I love it
Many thanks to you both x 🌼🌼
A most amazing way to enhance your blackberry ketchup would be to add some freshly ground black pepper to your mix, both before AND after you cook the blackberries down. Not only will it enhance the flavour and spice it up a bit; but it will also improve the metabolizing qualities of your ketchup...! 😉👍
Hello from the U.S.! I discovered your channel just last evening and must say it's superb.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge of so many lovely plants.
Will be ordering your book soon.
I will try it. Looks yummy. Im going to try the ivy soap too ❤
i just had blackberry ketchup with burger and chips, tasty!! apple cider vinegar was a bit pricey, so i used scrap apple vinegar i made last year, it turned out well. thank you for your video loving your stuff.
You two are soo Lovely , and what you do is wonderful , think you for this wonderful video .
What makes it blackberry ketchup rather than blackberry vinegar? The thickness?
Since it's vinegar-based, would you be able to can it? (Water bath or pressure canning)
Water bath would do it.
Is this really vinegary ? I'm not too keen on a lot of vinegar. Sounds good though 😊
It would be very vinegary. I would put much more sugar in to counteract the vinegar.
I wonder if you could use a basic white vinegar, because of its mild taste? A small amount of apple could be added to the blackberries,at the stewing stage ,to give the flavour without the sharpness.
@@manchestertart5614 definitely.
@@manchestertart5614 thank you 😊
How long does it keep folks & where do l store it, thank you....Ps l do have your forage book 💜
Longer keeping time would need water bathing.
I love that idea guys.
also known as brambles
Very interesting 😊
Gonna so try that ❤. Love your book guys. It's fantastic. Just got it for my birthday 🎂 🥳
Fantastic guys, as ever. I love you loads ❤
That looks delicious! Your blackberries look like what we call black raspberries here in the USA.
We have both black raspberries and blackberries in the US, different plants. Black raspberries are hollow in the inside of the berry.
Great ideas guys thanks 😊
You two are adorable , love you guys 😍
The book seems like a keeper!
