I really wish the more limp hair on Mercury from the concept design stayed, it would have made his present style look more like a freedom of expression similar to what Emerald did, then again it’s still in character for him to literally just let his hair grow out a bit more, the thing I love about bother Emerald and Mercury’s designs over the volumes is that they follow a similar philosophy to Jaune as in they feel like evolutions rather than just slapping on cool shit like a lot of other characters tend to do
@@crunchevo8974 How do you mean messed up? Models don't just "get messed up." Unless there are already topography issues present or there was a mistake in the rigging process, Emerald's model wouldn't be messed up during animation. I don't know anything about Poser so I'm unsure of the porting limitations, but I'm pretty certain that all of the character models were remade inside Maya itself. That's likely where the inconsistency with her body weight came from. I doubt RT has any narrative explanation for it; they wouldn't have remembered that aspect of her previous design.
@@MeemahSN i mean like when they made the outfit and the model for young scrappy emerald they unknowingly made her smaller somehow. It could be deliberate like i said she could have just not been fully grown up. Idk how old em is supposed to be
I love the fact that mercury added gauntlet and bracers to his new outfit, just because his leg is his main weapon doesn't mean he neglect his arms. He just look the most practical out of the whole cast.
I’d definitely argue that there old outfits definitely had there perks. Old Mercury definitely looks allot dirtier especially with his brown pants. But I do love that you can actually see his cybernetic legs and how they connect to his body more than his present outfit ever could. President emerald may look prettier than her past outfit. Bug I’d argue that her simple outfit appearance fits her more than her current outfit trying to be elegant. Also it’s probably the most green we see on her. I can’t help but wonder if we see emerald going back to s similar outfit now that she’s no longer with cinder.
Happy Birthday! I had been wondering why they replaced Ms. Slovac. I didn't really mind her so surprised to hear she was hated. That being said, Mr. Simmons was a lot more memorable.

I wonder where his robot legs came from. It did not come from Watts because he acts like he does not know Mercury or Emerald. The legs are not built in his style like Tyrions tail.
😂 you know looking at this video of their past outfits their past outfits from volumes 1 through 3 in their current outfits it's so funny to me that the side character villains who won who is currently going through a maybe redemption ark in Mercury who I have remember at any given time is a part of this series have better character style design upgrades than the main characters the only main character who looks good right now Jaune, and you can tell he's the writer's favorite since will he voices him like everyone says but like he even in the ever after Jaune looked better than everyone else 😂

Talaria, his boots, are literally armour plated. they go over his cybernetic legs and are armoured in much the same way as Ember Celica

The Atlas's cybernetic parts are incredible, it isn't original but it works.
Apparently, past Emerald is also skinnier than current Emerald, but that may just be a trick of the eyes
It may be purposeful to show malnourishment? Or maybe ageing? Or it could just be that the model got messed up somewhere along the way

His pants look more orange than brown in the art. I thought they looked fine there but a lot of colors don't seem to transfer well in these 3d models
