Seeing Eve all beat down like that from her body language kinda hurt to see. She just looks sorrowful and full of regret which explains why she did what she did at the end
Sometimes the most painful thing... is not telling someone you love them. I think anyone can relate to what Eve is feeling. You are trying to be respectful to other people's relationship and you keep your feelings hidden. Its only after you lose that person that you are filled with regret. Alot of people try to be nice and respectful at the cost of hurting themselves.

She did a fantastic job voicing Eve here displaying her lack of regret for not telling Mark her true feelings, and getting a chance to redeem herself by telling our Mark how much she really feels now.

Probably my favorite scene so far in the series as a whole!! The implications this has… the weight of this scene, the way it was animated, the score, the beautiful background… the writing/acting wowowow yall not ready
i can't be certain but when Rex said "you wouldn't like what you would have become" i think this is foreshadowing the version of mark that became a sort of cannibal. see in the comics possibly in S3 there's going to be a war involving different Invincibles' from the multiverse, most of them are evil versions and one of them was a cannibal because of him being stuck on a world like where Mark is now so yeah it's a dark scene that is foreshadowing a coming threat
Yeah this scene really doesn’t have a ton of implications since they don’t explore this timeline at all after. The Mark that eventually turns into a cannibal was evil in his timeline and not liked by any of the Guardians, so they’re not referring to that version.

@@ShanaReviews he was not a cannibal because he was stuck in some world.......he was always pure evil (we saw in s2e8), and when angstrom strands 8 evil marks, they all resort to cannibalism to survive, not just him, but your comment suggests he was cannibalistic before that, which we don't have any proof of

It may be messed up to drop this on Mark after he just broke up with Amber, but I appreciate Future Eve just looking out for her past self. That has got to be a heavy burden she's carrying, being in love with someone for decades and never getting closure on that.

Unfortunately, not really. I've seen the comics and basically after Mark goes back to his time in this scene, the world of these Future Guardians from the 20 years were never really explored again.
I could be wrong but there was a place in the comics Mark was trapped with the evil variants of invincible and they became cannibals and the planet looked like this one

I hate that. Robot has no right to take Rex’s name. Especially given what he goes on to do.
Theres something i wondered about this episode. Levi's power only sends him to a different dimension but same geological position (he stated it when getting the Mauler twins). So when Mark and him were fighting, they kept going down so far, buildings lengths. So im wondering how messed up the world must be for them to be at this depth

You say that as if it's solely _his_ fault and _his_ problem to deal with. He never knew how Eve felt, and he probably didn't even officially start to feel any actual romantic feelings for her until later this season. That's when we saw them act awkwardly when she was hugging him, which could be a sign that there's some feelings there. However, seeing as Eve is the one who apparently always felt that way for Mark, it's on HER that she didn't tell her own best friend how she felt about him. It's her own fault that she didn't have closure, which is why she decided to step up and correct her past mistake. How is it Mark's fault? He obviously didn't know how she felt, and was in a relationship of his own. So nah, he shouldn't feel obligated to tell her anything, which is probably why he didn't in the finale. It wasn't all on him to begin with. Sure, he can throw some hints her way, to maybe give her the idea, or encourage her in subtle ways to tell him how she feels, but at the end of the day, she's the only one who can say how she feels. He can't say it on her behalf.

Like I feel he'd be more glad and confused and wanting to know more... instead of just accepting and waltzing through the portal. Something that irks me about this though is.... why would she tell mark to tell his eve he loves her if SHE KNEW that the mark in this timeline wasn't even DATING eve yet. Like him and amber JUST broke up. Like it doesn't make sense for him to be telling her this THAT early on.
Missed the point, in future Eve's world, they didnt date at all. She had feelings for him but never told him. She never got closure. Thats why she wanted Mark to tell his Eve whether he loves her or not, so his Eve could move on.
Because its all 20 years later.......

Judging by her tone of voice it was as if she had been forced to confess her love to Mark. That seems kind of tacked on. It was more convincing in the comic book. There were even repeated hints of Eva's feelings for Mark.

I suppose they are from his dimension but from the future so they travelled through both back in time and and between dimensions. And Eve did it for next timeline's Eve.

They sort of messed up the logic of the show there when they used Eve to clean up Mark. She managed to clean the blood off Mark with her powers but that shouldn't have been possible because she can't manipulate organic matter (Unless she has a life threatening injury of course, which she doesn't).
This comment doesn’t make sense. She can’t manipulate organic matter such as living humans and animals. Blood is part of humans but it’s not apart of someone’s body in that moment to Eve.
She can manipulate organic matter. She was able to for example wipe the minds of government agents. She’s also to manipulate the environment filled with living things. She has mental blocks that prevent her from using the full range of her powers.

Amazing for a man who always winds up in icu he gets some of the most attractive women to be interested in him I mean for a guy who always winds up in the ICU at the end of the day the show has been one of the most funniest things and it's very hard considering I how much I hate comedy this is one of the few things in this world that can make me laugh and leave me in stitches something Mark should always be familiar with considering that's how he pretty much leaves every battle that he's in
Is there a reason that they keep showing old versions of Eve? If any non-Viltrumite should be able to live as long as Mark it would be Eve. She can manipulate matter on a molecular level. I know they nerf her powers a lot, or she'd be the most OP character in the show by a mile. However she should be able to reverse the effects of aging, or stop the process entirely. Idk, maybe I'm reading too much into it.
She only found out that she could do it just before dying of old age. And reversing your aging must require using powers on organic matter, which she can't do.

It's implied that he didn't do that in their original timeline. So him providing that kind of closure to Eve would disrupt the timeline since it's likely a major event that would alter future events.

It's a completely different dimension with different possibilities, so the whole "destroying the timeline continuum" thing is just unnecessary stakes they were setting up.
There's a bunch of things you can add like maybe Red salvaged Rudy's arm, season 2 imo is just all over the freakin' place.

It’s a fairly safe presumption that that’s what happened in the time line that these older guardians came from.

The most fake scenario in the multiverse
This scene made me not like AE. I know it's a cartoon but I thought it was so creepy and desperate to not move on with her life and hold out for a missing mark for 20 years. It made me cringe. I'm 40, I couldn't imagine being in my 20s waiting that long for a crush!

Who's to say she didn't try? For twenty years the Guardians didn't give up on trying to find Mark and they didn't love him. In their universe mark might have come back at any time maybe even found a way back to an earlier time line with outside help.
I’m imagining younger Eve still is figuring out her feelings and older Eve experienced more and so is advocating for herself when she knows now she should. I personally don’t view the two as the same as Eve from the future is a different person from present Eve who’s still keeping things to herself.
