Shucked is one of my favorite shows now, I don’t know how anyone can’t enjoy it! 🌽🌽🌽
I attend a lot of theater, and always get Rush/Lottery seats. As you found, they're usually on the far side of the theater where you sometimes miss seeing things that are played on the side. But those moments are few & the trade-off is that the price is unbeatable. Last Sat. night I won a lottery seat to Merrily We Roll Along - I sat in the 14th row of the orch. on the far right. The far right of the stage was obscured by a wall, & I did miss a few brief things. But the man sitting to my immediate left paid full price, literally ten times what my tkt cost & said despite the few things I wasn't able to see, he would have gladly paid what I paid & sat one seat over lol. Glad you were lucky too!

If they do, their food choices will prob. be as creative as their Tony Awards viewing choices - but they'll all be made of corn lol
Shucked is closing Jan 14; Some Like It Hot is closing Dec 30. And in this weekend's Washington Post, there's an article about how Here Lies Love is struggling at the box office. All these shows are critically acclaimed & loved by audiences. But the costs of running a show (particularly a musical) on Broadway is astronomical, & so tkt prices are only affordable by millionaires or tourists who save up all year to see shows on their vacation; the average person is basically priced-out. You and/or Mickey Jo should do a deep-dive video into why this is, & how things can change to keep great work running so everyone can afford/has a chance to see it.

Honestly as a US-ian Tampa made me cringe a little, because like you guys i was in cheap seats in earshot of the expensive ones...and hearing the front row laugh at the people who went to Tampa because they couldn't afford Orlando was a little 😰
Back in July I was there browsing at the souvenirs and I was like, "Wait, aren't these the same people that were on stage?" I love they had the cast be the models for their merch.
It’s gonna be interesting what delfont makintosh theatre it goes to in London because I really thought it was going to Noel coward theatre but there’s another show going in there next October unless shucked will be limited run if it’s going to Noel coward theatre

Are you going to the Hudson Theatre? That has a somewhat bigger lobby and a beautiful Tiffany ceiling.

I feel Shucked is universal enough it will play well to UK audiences but I can also see them changing a few jokes. I'd also agree the Tampa stuff is easy enough because everyone visits here anyway even if more so Orlando then Tampa. I honestly am not a big 🌽 fan besides maybe Corn Dogs & Candy Corn & I know that second one tech should not count (maybe not even the first either) but I don't Shucking care.

On the cob. Boiled (but not overboiled--very important!) with butter, salt, and pepper. I'm a traditionalist. :D
