This is a lovely tutorial. I'm going to try it myself. I'm actually an embroiderer and have stitched a green man for a fabric book. It's what sort of started me having a UA-cam channel myself. I'll be checking out more of your videos. Thank you for the great tutorial.
Can’t wait to try this one Alex, your a great teacher ! you-somehow help me to understand how you make those cuts. Will be looking forward to more from you. Thanks for all your time.
Super cute, might be a little to advanced for me, but what the heck.. I'm going to give it a try. Thank you for the tutorial, and Thank you for the small tutorials.
Nice job!!! Something different to carve. FYI.....I found a denture toothbrush at Dollar Tree just a few days ago. I'm in the PNW but you can check where you live. It is stiffer than a regular toothbrush. Keep up the good work!
Love the green man ......I've recently picked up this passion and I'm passionate about it ...and all thanks to you brother.......if you wish would you please .....please send me one of your knives .......old ones will do too...coz in my country it's quite expensive and hard to get ..... anyways another great and informative video ....I'm your fan n die hard subscriber.......cheers 😀👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🥰🥰
If you were unable to find the spray what alternatives might you consider using? In the UK so sometimes difficult to get the equipment and materials you have in the US. Great video and channel. Im learning loads and having so much fun with it too. Thanks!
Thats lovely m8 thanks for showing us, its really raised the bar now for us budding amateur's . i take it its basswood ive been practicing mushrooms on limewood , would you say lime woods on a parr with basswood , anyway greetings from Wales ,watch ur digits take care.
One thing I don’t hear mentioned is building up the strength of your hands when just starting. Are there some exercises that I can do to help do that. I know sharp tools are essential but hand strength has an effect on how deep a cut can be.
Why is it that you have to sharpen your knife at a slight angle but when you strop, you just have to put the knife flat and not at an angle? Trying to figure out how the sharpening and stropping works ;d

great tutorial. I for sure will try this as soon I have the time. Plus on this face is you don't have to worry about symmetry 😅👍
That’s right! Thanks!
Very nice. I think I understand you said a 1x1 but looks larger. I might try 2x2 x4 inch. Great fun
It may have been a hair wider, but not much! It would be a great 2x2 project!

Of course! Thanks! Yes, lime wood is in the same family as bass!
harika bir çalışma tebrikler👌
Would a 2mm number 12 v tool be fine for this? What v tool would be most bang for buck if i just bought one for these types of carvings?

Good point!!
WOW. HOW DO YOU SEAL WHERE YOU PAINTED? THANK YOU!!!
Nice

Trying to figure out how the sharpening and stropping works ;d
The angle you sharpen and the angle you strop should be the same!
I too like to live dangerously and use my wife’s toothbrush
Amen brother
What kind of clear coat spray did you use?
Minwax poly matte
Świetne pozdrawiam serdecznie 👍
Greetings!
They are stealing my PRANA when I sleep, please pray for me

Какой нож вы здесь используете для резьбы?
It’s a badger state blade!
The funny thing dont knock it till you tried it our way of measuring
Sometimes I think which body part is most popular to carve..
Ass? Boob? :D
Such things not found in youtube.. :X
Wait a second here, do you actually use your wives tooth brush while carving?.😂 And if so did she ever find out?.😂
I did not! I’m know better🤣
