I am a man with 64 years on my body and i cry every time i hear that angelical voice of Romany Glimour but not only the voice is the music and the words that makes me cry. I think is the new song in my BOX of GOLDEN TREASURE SONGS.
Though the song is sad, I love it. When her singing is over, I long to hear her sing more. Then David comes in with a solo that matches the mood as he always does.
Yeah, Dido vibes for sure, i also got Birdy vibes a little when i first heard it, but instantly loved it and added it to my playlist. Mike's 100% right about the velvet thing, but David also has that kind of voice. Neither of them is what you would call a "vocalist" or one of the Top 10 voices on earth... but David is easily in my Top 5 singers ever. His voice and tone are just so gentle and smooth and clear, and Romany's is exactly like that, too. Seriously hope she puts out more music like this in the future.
That was so Pink Floyd of the 60s. Romany even looks like her dad from that era. Sings in the same manner. She is also playing the harpsichord. If this is Romany’s music choice then I am in awe. 👍🌹❤️
Dido was the first name that came to my mind too. I spent a lot of time listening to Dido in the early 2000s - especially that time I flew from the UK to Australia with a Sony Walkman and one tape (Dido's first album), which I listened to over and over again for 30 hours there and 30 hours back! 😁 Really loved this song. Romany has a beautiful voice, and hopefully a big career ahead of her if she decides to do more music. The original Montgolfier Brothers version of the song is good too, but of course I'm biased towards the Gilmours!
I like her voice, a little like Dido. Have several of David Guilmor's solo works. Did you know that he discovered Kate Bush. I found it different having a guitar solo at the end of the song, but I liked it alot
A lovely longing of despair wrapped with bluesy rays of light flickering through- great song. Speaking of lullabies, if you haven't made it to Seeking Vengeance by Unleash the Archers, Brittney has the most melodic heavy metal lullaby in the chorus - such a juxtaposition to the title of the song and with such warmth and comfort - killer songwriting. Hope you get a chance to check it out.
Dave rewrote this song which he was going to sing. Said it didn't fit. So he had Romany come in play the music handed her a paper with the words. She sad she nailed it on the first take. This is the third song he has release with her sing and playing the Harp. " I have Ghost' " Piper" an this.
She is indeed David's daughter. David and his wife Polly have 8 children between them. Romany has not only inherited some of that musical genius, but she looks remarkably like a young David. Watch David explaining this track and how Romany did it in one take. Then watch this lovely photo album set to one of David's tunes showing Romany growing up: ua-cam.com/video/hCQcKUtg9kc/v-deo.html ( David Gilmour - Between Two Points (Explainer) ) ua-cam.com/video/T_gQ_D5yhAE/v-deo.html ( David Gilmour and Romany Gilmour - Kokineli ) Can you imagine having David Gilmour as your dad and music teacher?

Super song Romany,s voice so pure and then the Goat himself Dave Gilmour best guitar player ever great song wow
A lot of people are missing the fact that this is a cover version of a Montgolfier Brothers track - worth checking their original out, it’s awesome.
I really hope to hear more of Romany. David Gilmour releases a new album (at 78!) in September. I'm crossing my fingers for more of her on it.

I hope she continues on with carrying on David’s legacy. She sounds like a warm
Blanket, like her dad
Romany is his daughter and she looks like her father when he was her age!
What?

I jus discovered that song yesterday and I think I feel in love with Romany...🤟
I get serious Dido vibes from this as well. I think because as soon as the vocal comes in, it reminds me a lot of her song "Here With Me"
I did my comment at the beginning of the video. Glad I am not the only person that thought of Dido😂😂
absolutely brilliant collaboration.
Une si belle voix et une guitare qui chante merveilleusement
I think Romany Rose is the youngest daughter (22 yrs old) of David Gilmour.
Beautiful, amazing girl, I love it😍😍😍

It’s a fairly faithful cover version of a Montgolfier Brothers song so….
Good job, keep going.🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩

Have a listen to the original - also beautiful. Perhaps has a charm that this version doesn't have (lovely as it is).
Liliac releases bad Boyz July 19th, it's original, and completely different from anything else they've done before. Imagine country on steroids
I first thought of Dido as well.
Only complaint, solo too short.
David's guitar solo on this track is actually about a minute longer than what is presented on this video.
Pleass react a & r sing's if you're the one cover❤❤
