4s or 6S? I think the performance will be the same (power/kg, not top speed) and price for batteries will be lower.I am leaning towards 4S; Wingloading will be lower aswell, so itll be more forgiving. Flight time should be the same, and on the low end probably more compared to 6s. Thoughts?
Really nice flier, with retractable landing gear and lights! I also love that Color 👍🏼 But for around the same price I could also get an Avanti V3 with lights :/ 😅😅 How is she in comparison to your bigger FW L39 80mm? 👍🏼
at one time I did until I had 2 of them cause me issues, one crashed my plane the other made the rudder flutter slowly. I own 20 of them but will not buy them again. Instead I recommend this one, the Lemon rx GEN 2, 7 channel it is $17.99 so very budget friendly and this one i fly my 80mm Freewing Mirage on and many of my other non gyroed plane like my FMS avanti s 70mm also has one in it. here is a link and yes it is an affiliate link but I was using these rx long before I was an affiliate.: www.motionrc.com/products/lemon-7-channel-dsmx-compatible-receiver-with-diversity-antenna-lm0081?bg_ref=Rvec3zLedV&tid1=FAT+GUY+FLIES+RC
When you do forward programing I use the default settings. However I make them adjustable by assigning the gains to be controlled by my knob. That way it the wind id real strong I can turn them up in flight. If the plane starts to oscillate due to overcompensation then I can turn them down. So star with default and go from there. I am sorry I don't remember the actual numbers.
I agree but I paid for it so they owe me the proper ESC. And yes I know the online description says nothing about TR but in a private email to them they told me the Olive one do in the latest releases. I only wanted it to demonstrate how to set it up and use it.
FlyFans has some great planes in these little 64 edfs!!!
Thanks for helping this old guy get back into the hobby. Appreciate all your hard work.
My pleasure!! Truly it is not work when you love doing something. And welcome back to the best hobby out there!
@@FatGuyFliesRC awesome!
Beautiful bird, beautiful backdrop, and some nice flying
Glad you enjoyed it
Great maiden flight, i was surprised how slow she came in with no flaps deployed, nice landings...jeff.
You and me both! And thanks
That wonderful L39 need this truefire 5280 afterburner for 64mm outrunner fan ❤❤❤❤❤
That would be cool A little pricy at $49 however.
Awesome!!
Yes it is, love it
You could install an FW 64mm 2500KV 6S Inrunner to mount afterburners… but you will need an 60A esc
I have both of those items and I may just.
@@FatGuyFliesRC My friend was testing the Freewing 2500KV now on the bench with 7S and it pulls 25% more than on 6S! The sound is ridiculously loud xD
How did 7s work out?
Got mine today and it got reverse thrust too
Yes the news one are supposed to. Enjoy it is a great flying edf
Another great video!
Glad you like them!

All of these p[oints are good I will have to do a 4s vs 6s flight to answer your questions.

They both fly smooth as butter, Just this one is a little slower.
@@FatGuyFliesRC OK! Thanks!
@@FatGuyFliesRC OK thanks!!
Would you recommend the value hobby DSMX receiver for this plane ? I use a NX8 radio.

5280 RC has a burner for the freezing 64 mm f-16 that fits this plane with ease.
I will check it out.
Do you happen to know your AS3X gain values? I’d like to copy them as a starting point.

Doesn't need reverse thrust . It lands slow enough

I cut new battery strap slots and run a LiHV 3600 . She hauls a$$
Good tip.
The new strap moved forward or backward ? Thx :-) :-)
I have the Baltic bees use a 3200 , fun little jet

I use a 6s 4000mah in mine and just made the battery strap slots longer cause the lipo sits further back
I bought this one on eBay and it works nicely : Cyclone Power CenterBurner V3 Lite Lighting System For Single 64mm EDF by Hobby-Paradise
i will give it a look thank you.
Rc castle has them
Thanks, I went with a 64 ring burner from Amazon for 16$ will try it anyhow.
